The Times Square Suites is a great place to call home base for your Vancouver adventures, we stayed for four days during the Rugby Canada Awards and The Canada Sevens. We shared a standard two bedroom suite with my sister and her husband and there was lots of room. There is a Starbucks on one corner and a Safeway and a Liquor store on the other. You are on Robson and Denman so if what you are looking for isn’t right there walk 10 minutes, you’ll find it. You are also super close to Stanley Park if it is sunny. The check in process was quick and easy and the building is secure with great views of the North Van Mountains. There is even a rooftop deck and BBQ.
Stayed here in Feb ’17 as the hotel where my conference was taking place was full. I’m glad it was. While it’s not in the heart of downtown, this place is an easy walk to whatever you need. The room had everything I needed. Just don’t expect a huge lobby with all the front-of-house services. I would absolutely stay again.
We enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Times Square Suites on Robson Street, located in Vancouver’s west end, prior to joining a California-bound repositioning cruise.
The Times Square is very comfortable & homey, and we felt welcomed both by staff and other guests right away. After a bit of confusion over how to get into the hotel and find the registration desk (it’s really more like an apartment building than a traditional hotel, and the registration desk is underground in the parking garage), we settled in to suite 302.
Our suite included two bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen with all the amenities (including a dining area), a bathroom, full laundry, and a lovely “Juliette balcony” that overlooked Robson Street.
The hotel is only two blocks from the amazing Stanley Park, and right on the border between a residential & commercial area with bustling restaurants, bicycle rental shops, lots of restaurants, and a host of stores. Within easy walking distance of the nearby Banana Leaf Malaysian Restaurant (which we highly recommend), and both a Safeway and a BC Liquor Store for supplies, this is a great spot to settle in for a longer visit.
One special feature of the Times Square Suites is it’s rooftop patio full of plants, loungers, and barbecues available for guest use. Barbecuing a fresh-from-the-Granville-Island-Market feast with it’s view of the city, a glass of Meritage, plants covered in twinkle lights, and our family made for an absolutely heavenly memory. There are few other places we would consider staying on our next trip to Vancouver, BC
