Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

One could not imagine a more Royal treatment from everyone involved . Unless perhaps you’re a Royal . The location is ideal for everything in the heart of Vancouver . How many cool interesting people can you see on a Friday lunch anywhere else in town being serenaded by jazz piano in the always brilliant Bacchus . Great Hotel . just go !

The Spa was amazing! Definitely will go again!
The room was fantastic! What a relaxing four days, great location even though it Rained it was still totally relaxing! The nespresso machine in the room was such a Bonus! Thank you!

For perhaps 15 years we have stayed at this wonderful hotel when we make our annual trip by train across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver. It has always been an important part of our trip and because of its great location makes our 4-5 day stay a perfect home base in the city. We have gotten to know many of the staff over these years and miss those who have left but are always feeling welcome when we arrive.

You feel special the second you step through the doorway. Not snobby at all , they make you feel very welcome . A nightcap in the lounge is a must , have something special . You can’t get any closer to the heart of the city .

Clean, good price, walking distance to Roger’s Arena and shopping & transit…excellent service from all restaurants..kudos to Michelle & Guy/Jordan they are excellent at what they do..will stay again

We stayed at the hotel because it is so close to BC Place. It was clean but let us down. The heater didn’t work, 1 of 2 elevators didn’t work consistently during the weekend and the rooms/bathrooms were small.

I have stay 1 night in this hotel becasue of a nhl game. The hotel is close to the Rogers arena. Amazing view at the city center. Room was very nice and clean. Good service and housekeeping. Would stay again in this hotel.

Clean room, comfortable beds, not all that quiet, but it was a game night. Curtains closed and the room was DARK! 🙂 Super friendly staff, easy check-in, secure parking, at a price, but worth it. Could use more elevators! All in all, will be back!

Sandman Suites On Davie Vancouver

This is a disappointing hotel. 1 The room in which I stayed 1502 was in need of some TLC. The bathroom door was water damaged and the bath chipped. There were blond hairs on top of the fridge.
I had booked a Queen Suite but instead was given a Twin suite, with no reason. The -on-site restaurant was closed. There was no mention of this on my reservation form.
I would not like to bring young children to this hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel but some the clientele.
The bed, however, although not what was ordered, was very comfortable

We stayed in a King Ocean View suite 2108 and were pleased with the size and the amenities. the hotel is a bit tired looking and the furniture could do with changing – tables, chairs, cabinets were all badly scratched, but the bed was very comfy and the duvet was great. TV is rubbish. Front desk staff very helpful and its a very gay friendly hotel – rainbows everywhere!

Great location – within walking / a cab / transit away from many interesting things to do downtown Vancouver. Rooms were alright, some missed spots with the vacuum. The wireless internet was horrible – so plan ahead of time and look at schedules before getting down there, unless you are using your phone to help navigate.

This might sound like a convenient well priced stay but in my book this is quite a sub par hotel compared to what else is around for the same money.
I wasn’t impressed with much when it came to this hotel as a whole.
The staff were perhaps its only saving grace, whom I will note as being helpful and friendly but the room I had was dark, tired and to put it bluntly quite small.
The hotel is nicely located with access to downtown, Yaletown was only a short walk away (5-10mins) but the rooms were dark, wifi slow, it has only one lift and it operated at turtle pace, outdated tv’s, beds uncomfortable, cheap linen and the hotels general decor tired/old.
If you do not have any other options than I guess this is your stay but I would look elsewhere for a little bit extra.

We really enjoyed this hotel! It was conveniently located – just a couple of blocks from the theater district and 15 minutes walking to the marina and park along the water. The room was modern and the beds were comfortable. Our four-night stay included daily breakfast at the Cibo Trattoria restaurant next door and parking on the 5th floor of the gated parking garage about 150 feet from the hotel. There is also the Uva wine bar next door on the other side of the hotel. Nestor’s grocery store was less than a block away. Even though our room was located on the 3rd floor of the hotel on the corner of Smithe and Seymour Streets, the windows did a pretty good job of keeping the noise out.

Rosewood Hotel Georgia Vancouver

We checked into the Rosewood early and our room was ready. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very friendly.

The room was again beautiful, big comfy bed, lounge area, Nespresso machine and very large bathroom. Our room overlooked the city and here is construction work opposite but the noise was not a problem at all.

The outdoor winter bar was really cool and very cosy. And the fitness suite was a real treat. We had breakfast there too which was lovely.

A great base to explore Vancouver and I would definitely recommend and stay again. 5 stars.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Impeccable housekeeping; however, avoid the front desk and concierge they will only cause problems with your travel plans all while acting as though they are better than you.

Rosellen Suites Vancouver

While the decor is a little 3-starfish, Rosellen Suites is otherwise all 5-star, and great value for money. The location is ideal…close to great restaurants on Denman St, a spit from Stanley Park, and easy access to downtown by walking, or public transit. The suite was totally equipped, unlike many that say they are but are minimal, and very clean (bonus new sheets and towels daily, even though we stayed a week, including new tea towels in the kitchen). The staff were wonderful…nice and super helpful. By the end of our stay it was starting to feel Ike home! We will be back.

This once appartement building now converted to suites. Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, basic kitchen setup but functional. We came by from the Island and didn’t need to have a car. Our goal was to walk to everything : Stanley Park for walks, to the aquarium (you get 10% off coupons), Safeway for groceries. And there is a good choice of restaurants, cafés if you want to eat out. We took our car because of extreme wet weather but it is not necessary. Be aware that if you need parking, it’s $25/day.
No view except street or inner courtyard.

EXCELLENT service, from late check-in, assistance with excursions and sending me an item I forgot by mail. The staff truly went the extra mile. Room was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. There were even umbrellas, which we needed during the 2 rainy days we were touring Vancouver. Living room was large enough to accommodate our 3 snowboard bags. Location perfect for us — market, coffee shops, and lots of restaurants all within a block, Stanley Park a few blocks away. The staff arranged our cab to the pickup location for the Whistler Shuttle, including the special request for a minivan, and written confirmation of the reservation slipped under our door. Would definitely stay here again!

We were thoroughly impressed with The Times Square. We had a beautiful room, more like a studio apartment. Close to Stanley Park and a great assortment of restaurants and bars. The staff was exceptional!

We recently stayed two nights in a one bedroom + den for myself, my wife and son. Perfect! Everyone can get their own space. It’s not a hotel room, it’s a suite or apartment. Very well thought out and well appointed. Everything you could want or need for an overnight stay, or a month. You could not get more convenient to the downtown west end. Walk to everything! Very friendly staff and crew, immaculate housekeeping! I’ve seen 5 diamond properties that don’t live up to this standard of cleanliness. We’ll be back for sure.

We stayed here twice, on the way to Whistler, and on our return. The first stay was better as we had ‘newer’ rooms, the second room was a family one and it was quite old and smelt damp. The breakfast included was great and the location was perfect. The concierge was. not the best, both days he could not help me with my enquiry and left me feeling frustrated and lost. I wish I had asked the concierge on our first day as he seemed fantastic. 🙁 This meant we missed out on a lot of sightseeing we had planned because I had no idea on how to get around. Walking is great, but can only take you so far, especially when we were tired from skiing. The pool and hot tub were great, although I felt a bit self conscious walking through the lobby to access it. The restaurant attached is actually not even affiliated with the hotel which is bizarre as they share access and toilets. A bit annoying to not be able to book to our room, but it was a nice spot to sit close to home and allowed our kids to come and go as they pleased safely. The check in staff were wonderful. Not sure if I would stay here again due to the age of the rooms. bit location is perfect

We got a corner room which has a decent sized bedroom as well as decent sized living room but the kitchen and bath are very small. Also had to wait to get checked in for about a half hour as there were only two receptionists checking in many people ahead of us and one of the receptionists was a trainee (although she did a fine job). Then to get up the elevators took 15-20 more min’s because there are only 3 and they are very slow. Things were a little outdated, but the bed and pillows are very comfortable. It is a great location to walk around and not need to drive. Joe’s original restaurant, connected to the lobby, is a great place to eat and we highly recommend.

Nice breakfast. I had a really quiet room. It is a quaint hotel with very helpful staff. Close to convention centre. I did not need a car in Vancouver. Walking distance to Waterfront station to get to and from the airport.

The location is perfect. Easy walk to convention centre and the water, as well as lots of restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small and dark, maybe a little musty. Window looked at wall. Despite that, the room and bed were clean and comfortable. Price very good for downtown.the parking options were not great, which is to be expected for downtown. We ended up paying the hotel for valet parking but were always self parking at the lot across the street because we were arriving and leaving late at night and early in the morning, so that was kind of annoying. There isn’t even space to pull over legally in front of the hotel to unload your vehicle, although we did stop anyways in the no stopping zone and it wasnt an issue.
Breakfast was not good, we ended up eating out, even though it was free.
They did have convenient storage for our ski gear on the main level off the lobby.
I stayed here for five nights in early March. Overall I was pleased with my stay.

Pros:
– Internet was good.
– Breakfast included, had basic options.
– Staff very friendly, and they had apples and newspapers at the front desk.

Cons:
– My room was always cold, even when I tried to turn up the heat. The floor was so cold I had to wear shoes inside to prevent my feet from getting uncomfortably cold.
– You hear all the noises in the hallways and outside. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
– Elevators can be very slow – I recommend taking the stairs if you are able.

For the location it was a great price. Lots of good restaurants nearby, and just a quick walk from the Waterfront metro station. I would definitely consider staying here again.
