Our suite was great, spacious, clean, well organised. Great variety of restaurants close by and pharmacy. Located in a neighbourhood (oh my gosh with real trees) off the main grid, $7 cab ride to Rogers arena
Excellent location with many good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for one night in an Executive Suite with two beds for a family of four. My teens enjoyed the space and the balcony. We have view of the mountain and the city. I will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.
We stayed for 4 nights Saturday to Wednesday.
The area is fairly quiet but is very close to Davie Street for restaurants and bars.
If you prefer others, it’s a 10 minute walk.
The room was large and spacious with all the kitchenette amenities. It was very clean.
Breakfast is ok, please note that you have to take your crockery to the lobby to collect breakfast and take to your room. This may not suit everyone
We were a family of four that included two kids. We had a very good stay. Clean rooms, friendly and courteous staff. Property is well located. Walking distance to the beach. Restaurants were easily accessible. Parking was crammed though but was manageable.
The hotel is just like every high rise hotel on the planet. The best thing about it is the great neighborhood in the heart of the West End. Close to the water, plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby.
We had booked a queen bed apartment which we upgraded to a King bed apartment with a pullout for an extra $30 per night- we were booked in for four nights- . I wasn’t that impressed as I didn’t find it that clean. Dirty marks on the fridge, floor, dirty paintwork and wall paper old and stained. I could actually cope with all that until I spent a night trying to sleep on the pullout. The mattress was so thin I could feel the metal bars through it. I tried everything and ended up trying to sleep on the cushions. Needless to say I had very little sleep. Well, without sleep and very grumpy next day it was unfortunate for the Duty Manager to be in the lift with me. I was very polite but told him how disgusted I was with the whole booking. He asked me to leave it with him and he would see what he could do.
On checking back with him (Roberto) later, found he had upgraded us to a suite on the 23rd floor. What a change! Clean, parquetry flooring and a decent mattress on the couch. He also advised me that they would not charge me the upgrade fee for the first night of the stay.
I was so impressed with this level of service and I highly commend Roberto for his handling of the issue.
It made our stay so much more pleasant and certainly put a more positive slant on our stay at The Sandman suites. It is situated in Davie Street, surrounded by lots of eating places and bars. Jodie’s bar next door had fairly good food and apply hour every afternoon between 3-6pm. It was only a $10 taxi ride to Canada place and the Wharves and around $40 to the airport. It was good to have an apartment where we could prepare our own breakfasts and it wasn’t until we were leaving that I discovered a washer/dryer in the cupboard that I could have used.
I hope that the Sandman continues to upgrade its suites- if so I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. And again, I would like to commend the Duty Manager Roberto on his dealing with our issues.

My suite (202) was not like the modern, well-furnished ones shown on the website. It was more like a student apartment, with dated decor and cheap furniture. The second bedroom was so small that both ends of the bed touched walls. However, it was very clean. Potential guests should be aware that this is an apartment building, not a hotel.
We came to Vancouver with friends a couple days before our cruise and wanted a place that we could share that would be close to it all. We found it!! We have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room – plenty of space for the 4 of us! Actually, we could have fit 2 more people easily on the Murphy bed in the living room. The property is not air conditioned but is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood so having the windows open was perfectly ok. I rated it very good – not excellent because of the size of the shower is small and all the doors are loud and thin but that being said, I would stay here again!
We had such a great week at Vancouver’s Rosellen Suites. We walked everywhere and used the Hop On Hop Off Trolley to see Stanley Park, Granville Island Market, ride False Creek Ferry, and finally to get to The Boathouse Restaurant on English Bay. Perfect!
We stayed here twice whilst visiting Vancouver. One time at each end of a Canadian visit. The hotel is well situated near Yaletown and Gastown. You can walk to most places (if you are that way inclined – which we were). Public transport can be used for further trips. The suite was large with a nice large window. We were on the 5th and the 13th floors. Great view from 13th. Ask for a high floor. Everything clean and working. Well serviced. There’s a cooker if you really want to save on costs. Staff very helpful. Can’t really fault. Great for it’s classification. There are laundries on various floors with washers and dryers.
Central location, near big stadium for sports , theatres and shopping.
Rooms are comfortable.
Good sauna, spa and indoor pool about 12 -5 metres long. closes between 11 and 1 for cleaning each day and shuts promptly at 10 p.m.
Bistro attached to the hotel about 20 floors high.
Great high tea place across the road for women in a historical building called Fur Elise.
stayed here for 5nights pre cruise and 1night post cruise.staff all very pleasant and helpful.was on both floor17 and 5 found no problem with either.check was painless on the two visits.hotel is very handy for all shopping and a host of restaurants nearby.sports bar on ground floor is a bit pricey.but overall would recommend this hotel which is within 5 minutes of both hockey arena and football stadium.

It is downtown so most places are close by. It is also close to the ratty part of downtown with shuttered stores and junkies sleeping in the street. Nightclubs causing noise till 3 am could be heard in spite of being put on the 3rd floor, however this did not affect my sleep as it was muffled. If you are sensitive this may cause you problems. Rooms are on the smaller side probably due to it being older. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
We booked the room for a single night and was completely thrown off that you need to go to the alley in order to get to their parking. Once inside, the front desk staff wasn’t friendly and was almost offended that there were people checking in. Wasn’t aware you need to pay for a valet parking.
Once we were checked in and found our room, the room looks really dirty. The room didn’t look like the photos; carpet was dirty, and the room had a disgusting smell. For the amount of money we paid for, over three hundred sixty American dollars, we expected to be more upper class. However, we were completely thrown off by it.
The place is loud at night, due to the club directly next to it. The music was so loud you can feel the bass rambling on the windows and walls. It lasted til 3 am and we couldn’t get any sleep.
We choose to pay with continental breakfast, and were given the breakfast voucher to use. We went into the restaurant next door and were completely in surprise. The waitress wasn’t friendly, and we didn’t know the voucher wasn’t part of the breakfast bar. She was rude and told us to go. We went back to the front desk and the dudes behind the reception desk didn’t know what was going on. My wife was so mad, we didn’t get any breakfast for my three children.
Outside of the hotel, there are homeless people around and the location isn’t safe. If we had known this beforehand, we wouldn’t even choose that hotel. Learned firsthand, and totally regret staying there. Made our trip to Vancouver a bad experience.
Just a warning to anyone else that is thinking of staying here, please look else where. You’ll regret just like we did and would never stay in another Ramada again.
very warm welcome by Mr Leung (hope I didn’t make a mistake) and his attentiveness and kindness at Front Desk. this hotel is centrally located in downtown and service was superb.
good selection of the complimentary breakfast and cheerful staff there.
We stayed here a couple of days after a cruise.
The customer service was great and they went out of their way to accommodate any requests.
Breakfast was wonderful too
My only complaint – there was often a lack of front deck staff and lines got very long. Despite this, the staff remained happy and helpful
Hotel staff was great and rooms were clean
I do love a Marriott Property. Included breakfast which had eggs and many offerings . Staff was very knowledgeable about the city and all the tour offerings as well
Staff were prompt, wifi was good. Close to sky train and supermarket and cafes. Dated room, could use an upgrade. Adequate for our purposes, would overlook for a special stay. In room safe would be useful for guests
Nice hotel. Good access. Some minor maintenance is needed, and then we would assign a higher rating. Hotel room doors all slam shut upon closing, and simple annual maintenance on the hinges would fix this issue.
The location is perfect very close to everything, a bus stop right at the door and a few meter from the train, rooms a little small but good enough for what you need it. Could be cheaper for what you get on the rooms but as I said is good enough. could be nice if they provide free parking for guest instead of charging 15 cad.
Located on West Broadway adjacent to Vancouver General Hospital, within walking distance of Granville Island and just 4 blocks away from the Broadway City Hall SkyTrain station providing a direct link to the Vancouver Airport. All rooms have a private balcony, fridge, micro and a coffeemaker. Complimentary high-speed wireless.
Easy walk to Stanley park, shops and busses. Staff are excellent to deal with and are very friendly. Bedroom a little small but overall a small inconvenience. The suites are 1 block from Robson Street which has 19 blocks of shopping.
Stayed there for 3 days.. everything was well organised and comfortable. Nice place. The hotel staff is very friendly, Didn’t have any issue with the hotel. Will recommend to others. Nice place for short and long term visit.
The apartment 703 had everything we needed for a comfortable 6 day stay. The staff in all departments were exceptional, helpful and efficient. The location is good facing Stanley Park and an easy 15 minute walk into the centre. However the bedroom in this Premium apartment contained a rather small double bed and it was not possible to move around it as the room was not very wide. There was one bedside table and lamp but no room on the other side of the bed and no central light in the room with difficult to pull curtains. We solved this by using the sofa bed as well as the main bed. This is fine for two friends but not for a couple. Would suggest checking bedroom when booking to clarify, but would recommend with this reservation
The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the subway, but close to bus stops. The rooms are quite, although it’s on a busy street. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which had a small kitchen, 1 small bedroom and another which was bigger, as well as a living room with dining corner. The room is equipped with all you need but don’t expect luxury. The pool is big but the water is quite cold. Next is a whirlpool with warm water. We missed morning gown. Breakfast is mostly sweet, without ham, eggs, but you can eat well if you like different buns.
This was my 8th consecutive year to spend a week at the Landis (I travel to Vancouver from the US every year to participate in Vancouver Marathon events). My experiences have never been anything but excellent. From the General Manager, to the other front desk staff to the staff that service my room, I have always been treated as a valued guest. And now, as a repeat customer I am always recognized and welcomed back enthusiastically. I love the roominess of the suites, the full kitchen, the central location. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. And I’m looking forward to the upgrades to the suites that are planned in the coming months. Thank you everyone for another great stay in Vancouver!
Stayed here in April for a conference at another property. Had never heard of it before but I am glad I took a chance. The entire property is full service suites – two separate bed rooms, living, kitchen, bath. VERY spacious – even a glassed in deck with a table for four. Three TV’s!. Property was very clean and well laid out. Comfortable sleep. It was quite a way to the conference I was attending but the hotel provides a free shuttle service to virtually all downtown locations. If that’s not your thing, you are one block off the transit line so getting around is, in fact, quite easy. The first night there a major party was going on next door. When I called to complain (twice) they did their best to deal with it – given the level of drunkeness (and I understand this) they couldn’t toss them out but they did, finally, get them quieted down. In the morning, when I formally complained, the manager credited my bill with 1/2 a nights stay – taken from the occupants of the room responsible for all the noise. A pleasant surprise.
We stayed 1 night, but would have stayed longer it was so nice. Modern decor, Clean room, comfortable bed, close to down town, next to restaurant, Friendly helpful staff.
If I had to have a complaint/recommendation: Ask for a high up room, the street noise was a little much for us. Also the people in the other rooms on our floor were noisy till after midnight. None of these things were fault of hotel just my experience.
I stayed in this hotel a night. It is in Granville street. It is in city centre and very near to shopping area. There is a sauna and Jacuzzi on top floor. Rooms are very clean. All furniture, towels, linens are new. Staffs are great very friendly and helpful. Thanks GEC Granville.
Proximity to downtown is good. a few mins walk from everything that matters. would be better if breakfast was included. but overall great experience in our 3 days there. there is a restaurant on site that offers discounts to hotel guests but we never visited there.
