Ramada Limited Hotel Vancouver

Price: Very Reasonable
Service: Great. Made you feel like a valued customer
Room: Cozy but had a nice big bathroom. Perfect place to stay if you’re not planning on being in the room much.
Breakfast: Typical continental breakfast. Did the job
the Beds: Comfy

The hotel rooms and lobby were refreshed, clean, and cozy. The staff were friendly and professional. Downtown location made it easy to see what we wanted. I think it was a great find & would stay there again.

I reserved 5 rooms for our family after our Alaska cruise. The hotel was fabulous! We arrived early and the staff went out of their way to secure our luggage and offer guidance as to our one day visit. They were extremely helpful from the time we arrived until the time we left. One member of our group commented that she was reminded of a small boutique European hotel. EXCELLENT!!

We stayed at the Ramada in downtown Vancouver for 4 nights in June 2017. It was an old building and was a little tired but very clean and comfortable. We found the location ideal, close to many attractions and different neighbourhoods in the city. Most everything was within walking distance. The staff was terrific. Very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend it to anyone.

The location of the Ramada was perfect. Easy walking distance to Gastown and many downtown attractions. But, our room was extremely small for the price. You could barely maneuver around the bed with your suitcases in the room. Fixtures were old and worn. Staff was very helpful and the valet parking team was awesome. I might stay here again, but only if the price were cheaper.

I like to write a review when things are really good, or when they are not so good. This hotel unfortunately fits well into the latter category. I can understand that location may be an issue. This one is a poor location. My wife was afraid to go out at all. The front end staff left something to be desired. The person checking us in was friendly, but a gentleman behind the desk was surly and very nearly rude with us upon check in. We paid a room rate of $229.00 plus $35.00 per night parking, plus taxes, making it nearly $300 per night, and he stated that we got too go of a rate because we were a group to be eligible to Wyndam Rewards. What the point of having them, if we can’t collect them? The breakfast was pretty meager. so much so that my wife refused to go down for it the second morning. The hallways were dirty and the carpet had long passed it’s best before date. In our room, the one chair we had was thread bare with stuffing sticking out of it, and we were afraid to walk about in bare feet anywhere in the room. Our bath mat was already wet when we checked in to the room. What can I say? Avoid this hotel. It is not good, and it is not in a good location. And it is waaaay to much money for what they offer. I just looked below to finish this review, and it asked if the hotel had a business center. Yup, it does, but it was not working for the two days we were there.

I knew upfront from reviews that this was going to be a bit of a no-frills experience, but the room was so small that our family of four had to crawl over the beds to move around the room. We were there over Victoria Day weekend and the rates were not cheap. What was there seemed clean enough and it’s okay if you want to go for a budget hotel, but make sure that you get budget prices. Stayed elsewhere the following weekend and was much happier.

This hotel was perfect for our two night stay in Vancouver. This is really close to the famous Gastown district and not far from Canada Place. My husband and I walked with our luggage to the cruise port and it was like a 10 minute walk. The hotel staff was really friendly and the room was clean. We would come back and stay here again.

It is a nice hotel for the average traveller, it offers Complimentary Hot Continental Breakfast, Complimentary High Speed Wireless Internet Access, Complimentary safety deposit boxes at the front desk, Complimentary Daily Newspaper. For a fridge in the room, it is based on availability: $15.00 + tax per night. It has Wheelchair accessible rooms with 1 Queen bed. The rooms are standard: Standard DBL/DBL room with 2 Double Beds; Standard Queen Room with 1 Queen Bed; Standard King Room with 1 King Bed. It is next to the Waterfront Station (Skytrain) like 2,5 blocks walking. Located in downtown. If it is low season, it can be affordable from $130 per night. If it is high season (July, August) it can reach $300 per night (give or take). Prices are in Canadian Dollars.

Service was great. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable

From the first interaction with the helpful and professional staff, this hotel provides comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. The hotel is walking distance to many of Vancouver’s downtown attractions, and close to some great restaurants.

Great value for money, very clean, friendly service, reasonable facilities and great location. If looking for a reasonably priced hotel in down town Vancouver, this is it!

This is our third time here and it is not a accident that we returned. I would rate the room this time higher except that it was on the small side. There are some rooms here that are a bit bigger. It was however, clean, comfortable and very quiet, which was more important . The security at this hotel is very good. Breakfast is decent and staff is always helpful and friendly. Hotel is close to everything. 15 – 20 minute walk to Rogers arena/bc place.

Reasonably priced, updated, spotlessly clean, helpful staff, walking distance to conference centre and sky train/seabus.

Great staff. Very close to down town and transportation hubs. Hotel is old and showing it’s age
I stayed here with a friend for a night as it was one of the cheaper deals in the downtown area. However, $233 is not a great deal in my opinion for what we got….a very small, dark and tatty looking room with a very small bed and barely enough room to swing a cat. The hairdryer was broken and the fan in the bathroom was very loud (it was automatic with the light so had to be on) There was no fridge in the room and the furnishings were very basic. It didn’t feel very clean either although the bathroom was OK and the bed, although small, was at least comfortable.
Breakfast was disappointing with dry pastries that were at least a day old if not older and definitely not fresh.
The entrance lobby is tired looking and desperately in need of a revamp.
As our stay was hectic, we didn’t complain or ask for any assistance. However, the staff at the desk seemed very pleasant and I’m confident they would have been helpful. The concierge guy was super polite and helpful.
I felt like this was more worthy of motel than hotel status.
I was not satisfied with the stay in general. The elevator was broken 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there. My wife is 6 months pregnant so 6 flights of stairs is not something she enjoyed climbing up. The room was a queen sized bed but in fact was it was a twin. The toilet had not been cleaned and there was hair around and in it. On the 2nd night, they decided to paint the hallway on our floor with very, incredibly smelly lead based paint that gave us both terrible headaches. Overall i would not recommend this hotel

Nice breakfast. I had a really quiet room. It is a quaint hotel with very helpful staff. Close to convention centre. I did not need a car in Vancouver. Walking distance to Waterfront station to get to and from the airport.

The location is perfect. Easy walk to convention centre and the water, as well as lots of restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small and dark, maybe a little musty. Window looked at wall. Despite that, the room and bed were clean and comfortable. Price very good for downtown.the parking options were not great, which is to be expected for downtown. We ended up paying the hotel for valet parking but were always self parking at the lot across the street because we were arriving and leaving late at night and early in the morning, so that was kind of annoying. There isn’t even space to pull over legally in front of the hotel to unload your vehicle, although we did stop anyways in the no stopping zone and it wasnt an issue.
Breakfast was not good, we ended up eating out, even though it was free.
They did have convenient storage for our ski gear on the main level off the lobby.
I stayed here for five nights in early March. Overall I was pleased with my stay.

Pros:
– Internet was good.
– Breakfast included, had basic options.
– Staff very friendly, and they had apples and newspapers at the front desk.

Cons:
– My room was always cold, even when I tried to turn up the heat. The floor was so cold I had to wear shoes inside to prevent my feet from getting uncomfortably cold.
– You hear all the noises in the hallways and outside. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
– Elevators can be very slow – I recommend taking the stairs if you are able.

For the location it was a great price. Lots of good restaurants nearby, and just a quick walk from the Waterfront metro station. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The staff was super attentive. Our house keeper was the best. Everyone was really nice. The place was very clean and the location is great

Room was small, but beds were very comfy. Free wifi was good and the apples at the front desk were good. Close to tons of great restaurants

Staff were very polite, very helpful, knowledgeable about Vancouver and how to get around. King sized bed was great but also extremely comfortable

We love staying here at this Hotel. It’s over 100 yrs old , modern yet has historic values ! Beds are awesome for a great nights sleep , decent breakfast down stairs . staff is awesome , 2 blocks from Gastown , great places to eat and pubs within a couple of minutes walk . Canada Place , Stanley Park are within a short distance as well . If you are looking for a place that they love their customers , close to all sites to see , Great value and 3 blocks from the skytrain …then you have to try here !!

A great downtown location, on the edge of Gastown. Best prices you will find in this area. Service is friendly, I asked for a quiet room and they accommodated. Wifi is free and works reasonably well.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. There is a flat screen tv and sheets were comfy. The room is rather small, but you are probably not spending a lot of time in your room.

Front desk staff was extremely cheerful and helpful, offering great suggestions re how to spend just a half a day in their beautiful city. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with modern bath and amenities.

I stay at the Ramada on W. Pender every 2 weeks. It’s a great location because it’s close to everything shopping, restaurants, events, clubs but also quiet from the cities night life.

The breakfast rooms are on the small side and the menu limited. The staff worked fine with the limited facilities.

The location of the hotel was excellent, 3 blocks from Gastown and 1 block from the Skytrain (and plenty of bus options as well). The room (king room) was fairly roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of seating options so even during a busy time, you would be able to find a seat. Options were standard for a breakfast buffet and this was a great option to have. Overall, this hotel was great value for the cost!

The hotel was clean and staff are friendly. They offer to park your vehicle for a fee if you want however there is a place to park across the street for a lot less. But a great place to stay down town.

Overall the stay at the Ramada in Vancouver was very good. The rooms were a little small (no chairs to sit on), the cleanliness and the staff there made up for it. On our last day, we were leaving very early in the morning and we were hoping to get a coffee before we left to catch our flight. The morning manager had us just wait a few more minutes and then he was able to open the door to allow us to be able to grab a quick breakfast before we left and he also kept an eye on our luggage so we didn’t have to bring it down the stairs. It was so great, thanks so much!

I have been in this hotel for 1 night. It has a good position close to the city center and downtown, the staff is nice, but the hotel is dirty. We arrived dinner time and the hall floor was dirty with food (tomatoes skins and bread). Elevator as well. Breakfast room is a basement and breakfast choice is very poor. I think that for the same price 160 bucks) I could have found better.

Stayed last weekend as we went down to see show at QE Theatre. Updated, clean & cozy hotel. Smaller but nice rooms with extremely comfortable beds.Very friendly & helpful front desk staff. Enjoyed the valet parking service, even though it seemed bit costly, but so is parking downtown Vancouver. Next time I stay here I’m asking for room on street side as didn’t like darkness of alley side rooms.
