I love the Loden, this is the 2nd time ive stayed there. Staff is exceptional, the property is quiet and well appointed. Location is excellent and convenient to everything. i wish it were a little less expensive but you do get what you pay for!
We so enjoyed our stay with high-quality accommodations, personal customer service and a great location to enjoy this wonderful city. Take the time to walk to the many wonderful neighborhoods and enjoy the workout facility as well.
This is a stylish hotel with a service minded staff. It is quite a large hotel but it breathes the atmosphere of a small hotel. Room was great and clean, super bath room. Location is convenient and easily reached, though the Melville Street is somewhat shaded and colder due to large buildings surrounding it. I can recommend staying here for a couple of days to explore Vancouver.
There was a lovely restaurant next door with friendly, helpful service and great variety for breakfast. The room was Clean and spacious. The hotel was well located, easy walking distance to many city attractions.
Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, lovely ambience. Very close to concert venues and water taxi, walkable distance from Pacific Central Railway. In the heart of the restaurant area; an easy walk to Gastown.
All hotels in Vancouver are pricey, this one a little less than many. However it was worth it to feel comfortable in this clean remodelled hotel. If you want to be close to Vancouver’s main theatre or sporting venues then this is the hotel for you. Convenient (and again, pricey) underground parking. A nice restaurant on site completed a most enjoyable experience.
The renovated rooms were very clean and modern. Compared with the cost of other major hotels, this was a great find. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Parking was easy at hotel garage. Hotel desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was great. Will definitely stay here again. They didn’t have a pool but hot tub was nice.
I would have given the Hotel a higher score, but did not for 2 reasons…. Beds were not bad but the pillows were horrible. For some reason the rooms were not conducive to spending time in…somewhat sterile…and not a lot of place to sit. I will say Robbie, the Service Associate was great and so was Elba, our Housekeeping Lady! Kudos to you both! Very small Lobby area…..good for ‘coming and going’. Wifi was spotty and kept getting bumped off to Shaw.
Had an excellent stay here while we visited the beautiful city of Vancouver. The hotel, staff, and service were all great. We highly recommend it. Of special note was that they gave special service to a member of our party who was ill. We would have appreciated a smaller restaurant also in the hotel for a simple lunch but fun restaurants were nearby.
I always want to come back to Vancouver for vacation and this year is very special where everyone is so proud and high spirit to celebrate their 150 Years of Canada. The hotel facilities, Spa/Pool, hospitality from the Front Desk, helpful bell staff for directions, excellent bed and accessibility in Downtown. I will be back for sure!
Excellent location and very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings for downtown location. Staff very willing to answer questions and advice. We would recommend this hotel to first time traveler. Breakfast was quick and delicious choices.
As a universal branch, this hotel is the worst four seasons I have been to. Not saying it’s bad or anything, but the hotel and the facilities are rather too old. It also took so much time to get our room. Other than that, I really enjoyed the pool and gym area. Free coffee and tea served, I get to chill for a bit with a cup of americano after gym in the morning.
Outstanding in every way. Lovely, comfortable room with luxury amenities. Excellent restaurant meals for breakfast and dinner as well as a lively lobby bar with music most afternoons. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and caring. Hotel provided complimentary transportation which was always available and would take you or pick you up from most city locations.
Modern chic hotel. . Located near Canada Place where the cruise ships dock during the summer. The lobby bar area is a great place to sit and have cocktails. A large modern fireplace is on all the time giving it a nice ambiance. Everyone is friendly that works at the hotel. The rooms are fantastic and the bathrooms are luxurious with large tubs. Not the small tubs that are in many other hotels. A wonderful spa and lounge area to relax before and after treatments.
Superb breakfast and overall experience. The breakfast was terrible but the had a great breakfast place next door. The location was fantastic. We had a Coal Harbor suite but it was more of a convention center view but that was the only drawback. The employees were fantastic and the room was large and very well appointed.
Fairmont Pacific Rim Vancouver
In a sleek building, this luxury hotel is a 5-minute walk from both the convention centre, harbour and Canada Place.
Amenities include 3 restaurants (including a sushi bar), an outdoor rooftop pool and a spa.
The room was nice, and very clean. I used the spa ( got a tan-very even colour but very light) and a manicure and found the young girl to be lovely. Again the spa was nice and clean. I ordered a pizza to me room ( tip is built in so be aware, the bellboy did tell me that when I went to top him) it was awfully salty, I actually only ate half of it, normally I would have ate it all. I did mention it at the desk in the morning and they were kind enough to take it off my bill. I thought that was really nice because I did eat half of it. I would not order it again though. The great thing about staying at this hotel is your are only a minute away from check in. Additionally you do not hear planes flying above the hotel like you do at some of them when you are so close to the airport.
Extremely good and convenient, and efficient. Very clean and comfortable, a really nice outlook and very quite from aircraft noise. An early breakfast for early flights. The rooms are nicely appointed, and very helpful staff.
Stayed at the hotel for convenience to the airport and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Big room with a great outlook and plenty of sunshine. Dined at the bar and food was yum as was the wine.
Very comfortable hotel. Fantastic views over the airport, but quiet as the glazing is so good. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Reception staff good but gave conflicting information. WiFi expensive but free if you join Presidents Club . Why not just make it free ?
Located in the Vancouver Airport inside the Terminal
The luxury hotel and spa has exceptional accommodations, state of the art meeting facilities, a lavish Health Club and Spa- and breathtaking floor-to-ceiling- soundproofed views. … Amenities
I stayed here while I was attending a Professional Photographers of Canada photography conference that was occurring across the street. The rooms are very comfortable and the heart of the city, Robson Street, is just around the corner. Perfect for a Vancouver city stay.
I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for 3 nights recently and honestly do wish that I could have stayed longer. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff are professional, helpful and courteous. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant is fantastic – one of the best hot breakfast buffets I’ve seen in years.
Nice location, everything looks fine during our stay. I stayed with corporate rate which makes the experience much a worthy one. But that may not make my experience the same as others who paid higher at market rate. Breakfast is so so, suggest non business customer choose outside crossing streets. Bath room is very small but room size is fine. Fridge has sensor which make it looks like automated than the age of building. Other things all good to me.
Great hotel,we enjoyed our stay .
Since moment we walked in.till the minute we left ,everything was perfect .
Highly recommend to stay there .
Very helpful with planning our sightseeing activities and recommendations to amazing restaurants
I recently stayed at the Wedgewood (and have been staying there for a few years as I frequently go to Vancouver on business). On this particular trip I brought my family along with me (9 month old and wife) and the professional team at the Wedgewood were extremely accommodating. All aspects of our stay from the initial door service to the room service and everything in between were perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.
It was my first time staying at the Wedgewood but will not be my last. I enjoyed every minute of my 4 night stay. The service was impeccable, the room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable! I loved having a balcony that I could sit out on and watch the sunset and the turndown service (with cookies and a bottle of water on top of it!) definitely was appreciated 🙂 I was in Vancouver on business, but the Wedgewood made it feel like a vacation. Thank you Wedgewood!
Have been in Vancouver many times and Wedgewood has become my home away from home. As always. service is excellent and professional. Centrally located and the room is clean and spacious. All the staff are friendly and helpful to ensure your stay is a good experience
The Wedgewood is Luxury Boutique Hotel located downtown Vancouver across from the Law Courts. It offers a Spa, First Class Restaurant and Lounge. Outside it’s doors you are steps away from Shopping and Restaurants.
I stayed here for two nights after travelling on the Rocky Mountaineer. Having stayed in a number of great hotels across Canada I had hoped that this would be up to the standard I had enjoyed elsewhere. Unfortunately it didn’t. It’s not that there was actually anything really wrong, it was just old fashioned and a bit dowdy. I had a room with a spectacular view on to the Main Street outside but there was no comfortable chair and I have to say that flowered wallpaper in two shades of beige doesn’t do much for me. Most surprising was the enormous charge for access to wifi. Of the six hotels I stayed at in Canada, this was the only one which charged and at $15 a day it’s not cheap. In fact it’s outrageous.
I only had breakfast in the hotel. The buffet was generally fine but while there were pastries there was no bread or toast. I was in something of a hurry so didn’t pursue it. But it was a bit odd.
We stayed here for 6 days after travelling on the Rocky mountaineer. It had everything we needed a spacious comfortable room. Central position with lots of restaurants nearby. It was clean comfortable quiet and a bit more luxurious than we had been expecting given our budget tour. Saying that we only ate breakfast there once as it was pricey. As were other meals and drinks. The concierge was helpful and booked tours etc. I couldn’t work out the coffee machine but was promptly given a kettle when I requested one. Tea bags etc could be purchased at an IGA half a block away.
Stayed here for a recent business trip for the first time. I have had many people tell me the property is excellent so I was excited to try it out, especially as it is rated a five diamond property. I had a standard king room.
The positives: room was well equipped with a small mini fridge (stocked with everything); coffee machine and cups, and wine glasses and a bottle opener which I usually have to request at most hotels. Bed was comfortable. The property does have a pool and hot tub, and a decently equipped gym. I had a massage at the Vida Spa which was excellent and the service very friendly and welcoming. There is a little convenience store in the hotel as well which stocks everything you could need. Boulevard restaurant is lovely and has a lovely patio which is great for a glass of wine and some appies. It does get a bit loud outside as it’s right at the hotel entrance so the bellmen are constantly blowing whistles for cabs which is distracting.
The location is right off Robson which is great for shopping and there’s a grocery store half a block away if you need groceries.
Negatives: It wasn’t the best service I’ve ever had. It was a busy place so the staff weren’t terribly attentive; mostly trying to get customers through their requests/needs quickly.
If you are taking Skytrain from the airport it’s not close to a station so you’ll be dragging luggage several blocks. Knowing this, I cabbed.
The room decor is not that impressive, bordering on dated. Bathroom standard size with a tub/shower combo (not my favourite).
Comparatively I prefer Four Seasons for service (top notch!) and the new renos in the rooms at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver are outstanding. It was still a good stay, but not overwhelmingly impressive.
Great location, amazing service, and beautiful facilities. My friends and I stayed for one night for my birthday and we could not have chosen a better hotel to celebrate with. We had an absolutely amazing experience and I hope to be back soon.
Great location in the downtown area and great service! All staff members were extremely friendly and helped with any needs we had. The room itself had an amazing view of the city center and felt luxurious! Definitely recommend!
Frist of all they took care of our bags soon as we got there. Second the hotel is very Asian. Third the rooms have lovely views. Fourth everything in the room is very futuristic. Fifth the pool is loverly. Last the hotel has wonderful service.
Die hard Ritz Carlton fans, we were converted by the tremendous service and facilities of this lovely hotel. From arrival to departure they looked after us so well. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite with the best bed and bedding we have ever slept in plus a huge bathroom filled with great L’Occitane toiletries. So many lovely touches; thick “electric” curtains, free water, turn down service with little tubes of hand cream and a cool coffee machine. The only thing we didn’t like were the luminous light switches which we had to cover up to help us sleep! Terrific breakfast and overall top service especially from Jorvin McSween the concierge, who recommended a great restaurant for us and ensured we were well looked after there.
Of course, luxury and service in this first rate location costs but we felt it was worth every penny.
Shangri La Hotel Vancouver
A 5-star hotel just a 5-minute walk from Vancouver Art Gallery and the Robson Street shopping district. The hotel offers a full-service spa, a fine dining restaurant and views of downtown Vancouver
I had a gift card for a free night stay at the hotel. I’ve never stayed at the Loden before so i was excited to experience it! The lobby was nice as always. Front desk was very polite and receptive. The room was fantastic as I received a comp upgrade!
We loved this hotel for a number of reasons. The rooms were very comfortable; the staff was helpful, courteous and professional; the restaurant was excellent; and the location was very central to many things. Parking was expensive, but extremely convenient. They retrieved our car very quickly (and we were in and out a number of times). The use of their bicycles was an added benefit!
After nearly 3 weeks travelling across Canada we finished our trip with a few nights at the Loren. The whole experience was great but what sets it apart for us was the level of service from all the staff which was fantastic. I can really recommend this place.
This was our first stay at this boutique hotel and we were not disappointed! The staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Location was perfect, close to shops and downtown as well as Stanley park and pier. Will stay here again!
