Loden Hotel Vancouver

Best hotel in the neighbourhood, ideal for exploring the area. Fantastic rooms, with everything you could wish for.

beautiful hotel and excellent staff. Especially liked the red carpet and afternoon tea that was happening as we arrived to celebrate the visit of HRH William and Kate

The entire staff was exceptional. Service beyond five star! Exceptionally immaculate. Every detail from the down pillows, luxurious sheets, room service and turn down in the evening was way beyond expectations. The concierge service was very helpful and professional . Bravo Loden Vancouver!

This hotel went above and beyond our expectations! Amazing room, fabulous service, kind staff all around that was extremely helpful!!! The room is super large for a big city, bathroom super convenient and modern! All the little touches were thought of, cleaning and turn down service on point! Even the valet was so nice he made us enjoy the hotel even more! We enjoyed our three nights stay so much we didn’t want to leave! The restaurant and bar is awesome!!! I’ve stayed in tons of great hotels but this one was nothing short of perfect!!!! Tableau Bistro!!! On both visits (and yes we visited twice on our 3 days stay in Vancouver) we sat at the bar and enjoyed lively conversation with both bartenders. The cocktails were on point and so were all the recommendations they made!! Delicious food and nice service, nothing more we could have asked for!

Truly a boutique hotel experience with outstanding service and a glamorous setting. I cannot emphasise enough how warm and helpful the staff is. It’s also great that you can rent bikes at no charge from the hotel. The tub is a spa unto itself!

Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver

We had a 3 night stay in December and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The floors were laminate rather than carpet which I personally think cheapens the place. The room service meals we had from the restaurant were good and delivered in a very timely manner however we put the trays out into the hall for collection and they sat there for more than 24 hours. The hotel was very central. No noise in the room what so ever from anywhere in or outside of the hotel. Front desk staff were pleasant.

Large, comfortable, quiet room, very helpful staff, reliable wifi. The food in the restaurant attached to the hotel is also excellent.
The hotel is in a nice location – easy to walk to various parts of the city.  Highly recommended.

Really nice hotel with good location. Short walk to shopping and also to Roger’s arena if you are going to see icehockey. Just renovated rooms in upper floor. Nice restaurant next to hotel. Really pleasent staff.

Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver

We found the Four Seasons very comfortable, the location was excellent as it was in walking distance to everything. the restaurant food was very good. The only thing I would add is we had a $40 breakfast voucher per person even though we didn’t use the complete amount of the voucher any tips given couldn’t be used up in that $40 . Apart from that all was very good.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver has a wonderful location above a beautiful mall in heart of the city. We found it simple and enjoyable to walk to the waterfront, park, Granville Island ferry, theater, and restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful with spacious rooms that have wonderful views of the city’s spectacular glass highrise buildings through large plate-glass windows on two walls. The bar and restaurant were excellent, loved the reverse happy hour after our concert when most food service had stopped. The front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful to these first time Vancouver guests throughout our three day stay. I would recommend this hotel over any other we saw while touring this lovely city.

Right now I am sitting in their private signature(?) lounge looking over the harbour as I sip a cup of tea.

When booking our trip to Vancouver, this hotel was originally booked out. However I was able to book a signature room best ocean view on the American Express platinum travel website.
I’m so glad we did!

This place is not only stylish, but incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a newer hotel I figured the furnishings would be trendy and new, and they did not disappoint. The view from our room looks out over the harbour/ocean and the mountains beyond.

The service here is exceptional. They treat everyone like their favourite family member.
When we first arrived Patricia (concierge) came to our room with tea and hot towels and let us know about the private lounge for our floors. They serve a variety of food and beverages here throughout the day. If you wanted you wouldn’t have to eat out.

They will recommend and book restaurants, and have a private car (BMW) to take you to the restaurants, and will give the restaurant a card with their number to call to pick you up.

Their Japanese restaurant, although a little high on price is delicious, and the waitresses wear ball gowns which make the atmosphere much more elegant. They all look gorgeous.

We are going to be taking the complimentary bikes for a ride around Stanley Park this morning, and then take an aqua bus to the markets in the afternoon. All suggested by Patricia.

I would recommend everyone who is visiting Vancouver to stay here. Even if you can only get one night.

This hotel is modern, clean, centrally located and upmarket. Ideal for business travellers and couples, it exudes efficiency and class and features a really lovely lounge area with a stunning fireplace. The rooms are spotless and modern and you’re unlikely to find them lacking in any respect – even if you don’t end up with a harbour view room. We overlooked the offices across the road, but who cares – the kids entertained themselves trying to attract the attention of the hapless office staff… On that note, they don’t market themselves as a family hotel, and as you can imagine, they preferred the cheap apartment we stayed in earlier in the holiday. But price wise, we found it surprisingly reasonable value.

But Giovane cafe’s breakfast deserves a special mention. Food was great, but if you find a better coffee anywhere else in Canada (and I mean proper espresso coffee, not the filtered kind) then I’ll be surprised!

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Airport

We stayed here for the first time and it was wonderful! We had a 6 am international flight so decided to splurge rather than stay elsewhere in Richmond and get a taxi or shuttle in the morning. The entire experience was first class from the email communications every step of the way, to the concierge having our key ready for us. The room was beautiful. There is nothing I can critique, it was worth every penny and I will stay again.

The service here is wonderful
As you walk in the front door, the concierge had your key ready.
It is wonderful to be able to check in early online
The rooms are very beautiful
The bathroom is very luxurious.
The nice part is that you can walk out of your room and check into your flight without heading outside in the cold.
If you have any early morning flight, this is a perfect place to stay
Lovely warm hotel with direct access into the terminal. Could not get more convenient than this. Used it as a stopover for an early morning flight and was the absolute right choice for our needs.
Loved the decor as well.
Room was well insulated with minimal noise coming through from the planes.

This hotel is vastly overpriced for the amenities provided. At over $500 Canadian a night all you get is an ordinary hotel room. It could have been a Holiday Inn. Internet access is an extra charge. No breakfast is provided, nor is there a microwave in the room. We were charged even for the “complimentary” apple which was placed in our room when we checked in.
I contrast this with the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs where, on an earlier trip, we were charged less for a suite of three rooms and a large outside terrace.

This hotel is usually the better priced our of all three Vancouver Fairmont properties. Since their renovation it has become a much better hotel. The restaurant/bar on the main floor is great. The hotel is steps from some of Vancouver’s best restaurants and retail shopping.

Vancouver was honoured with a slew of awards and accolades. In 2016

Six reasons Vancouver keeps breaking tourism records

Tourism Vancouver reports more than 10 million tourists visited the city in 2016, a new best for Metro Vancouver’s tourism industry, and the third record-breaking year in a row. Here are six reasons why Vancouver is so popular:

1. Vancouver hosted 29 conventions in 2016 that attracted some 160,000 attendees, including the TED Conference (1,800 attendees) and the American Society of Human Genetics annual meeting (8,000 attendees).

2. Vancouver’s biggest travel market, the United States, brought 2.3 million overnight visitors last year, up nearly 10 per cent from 2015. China remains Vancouver’s largest overseas visitor market with 280,000 total visitors in 2016.

3. Rugby fever. The World Rugby Sevens held its inaugural event in Canada at B.C. Place Stadium in March, drawing a crowd of more than 60,000, exceeding all expectations.

4. People love Vancouver’s summer. July, August and September were 2016’s strongest months for Vancouver’s accommodation sector. In July, daily occupancy in Metro Vancouver hotels was 94.1 per cent.

5. Vancouver’s cruise season keeps them coming. Port Metro Vancouver welcomed 826,820 passengers on 28 ships making 228 voyages in 2016.
Each time a cruise ship arrives in Vancouver, it stimulates more than $2 million in economic activity.

6. Vancouver scored a bounty of awards and accolades. Skytrax World Airport Awards named YVR the best airport in North America for an unprecedented seventh consecutive year; The Guardian recognized English Bay as one of the world’s best city beaches; and Forbes named the BMO Vancouver Marathon among the world’s top marathons worth travelling for.

It’s estimated that the tourism industry in Vancouver contributes about $4.4 billion to the Metro Vancouver economy annually and provides more than 70,000 full-time jobs.

Shangri La Hotel Vancouver

From check in to check out a delightful stay with my every need fulfilled and expanded on. Made a week long business trip exceedingly relaxing. Amenities were on point rooms were clean and cleaned at turn down as well. The concierge was thoughtful in providing tips that would be helpful.

Easy check in.
Clean maintained room.
Work station, mini bar, small living room area, above average bed, although still slams around and makes noise during intercourse. Bathroom was large and up to date. The wifi signal was good. No real issues. Heated rooftop pool was fun & clean.
I don’t see the 5 star rating but it’s clearly not a dump either.
Love the location, close to everything. The hotel was fabulous. Room was clean. The front desk staff couldn’t do more for you, anticipating your every need. The breakfast was delicious too! warm pool outdoor on the fifth floor is too good…The Concierge staff were also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
