I have a feeling this is not a new Hyatt but they make up for it with really good service. They also have a great central location in downtown. I also like the computer operated elevators that are quick and easy to operate. All in all you can’t go wrong staying at this Hyatt.
The Hyatt is located in downtown Vancouver. The hotel ia very modern and comfortable. The rooms are exceptional. Wonderful beds, linens and pillows. It was one of the best hotel stays I’ve experienced in many years. The only issue that was frustrating was the very slow check in process. Even though I checked in via my mobile, I had to wait for a front desk attendant which took well over 10 min as there was a line up and only 1 attendant. For the size of the hotel and number of people waiting….i believe I was not the only person irritated by the wait time. Otherwise a good stay.
This is a nice hotel very centrally located close to water front, shopping, great pubs and restaurants , very friendly staff, the best thing is Mcdonalds and Timmy’s right next door, also Starbucks on site..
Just a 10 minute walk from Canada Place and adjacent to the Metro. This is a great place to stay. Comfortable and good size rooms. Service was first class. Every thing you’d expect from this sort of hotel. Easy walking to everywhere downtown. Highly recommend.
Checking-in is excellent no hassle the Ladies in the front desk registration are friendly and professional. The room is beautiful, clean and smells fresh. very comfortable bed, had a nice and deep sleeps during our stay. Superb Room amenities in the room. so convenient for everything like shops, restaurants, church and others, will come back again and preferred to stay in your hotel.so happy that we stayed in this hotel, thank you all, everything are excellent.
The gym is one of the best I’ve been to in hotels – big and with new equipments. Room was really big.
The staff is incredibly kind. The hotel impersonal but very modern and everything welk taken care of. Vancouver is very expensive regarding hotels. I found it excessive. The bed was too soft for my back and they tried everything to help me with it but my back was suffering so I had to leave. I was very nicely impressed with everyone working there
Right downtown close to all the shops and harbour. Rooms are clean and comfortable, hotel facilities excellent. Enjoyed using the pool and bar facilities plenty of dining options close by along with great shopping
The location cannot be beat. The hotel was updated, staff was great. Our room was clean and comfy. The only downside was the walls are really thin. They have quiet hour signs, but I could hear our neighbor through the wall and they were not being that loud.
A 9-minute walk from the Vancouver Convention Centre, this contemporary hotel is also 3 km from the Vancouver Aquarium and 6.8 km from the VanDusen Botanical Garden.
Upscale rooms come with free WiFi, minifridges, 42-inch flat-screen TVs and iPod docks. They also include coffeemakers and work/sitting areas. Upgraded rooms add balconies and mountain/Stanley Park views, as well as access to a lounge serving complimentary continental breakfast and evening snacks.
Amenities include an outdoor heated pool, a 24/7 fitness centre and a hot tub. There’s also a polished restaurant and a Starbucks, plus a trendy bar with a terrace.

Hubby and I decided to do a quick staycation before the crazy Christmas holiday. Saw a good deal for the Hyatt and we both love being downtown without having to drive anywhere. Stayed on a Tuesday which we felt would be less busy and we were right. Check-in was smooth and quick. If you have time, make a reservation to go get a massage. They have RMT’s available so that was great for us. Can’t remember what floor we were on but we had the view of the Burred station that has a small little park.
The room was spacious and had 2 double beds that looked like queen beds and just felt absolutely amazing. There were 2 robes for each of us. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and the toiletries were of good quality. Wifi in the room was good. We didn’t really hear anything with the busy road and skytrain just outside.
The location is great for those looking to walk around. Especially with there being a sky train next door, plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Keep in mind that if you drive here the parking is not reimbursed or subsidized for guests. They do have valet if you need.
The only downfall was the complexity of the elevator. For some reason, it took me some time to figure it out. Other than that good hotel.
Great hotel. In the heart of Vancouver near the convention center. Very clean, good service. The parking costs $35 for self park with in and out privileges. Valet is a little more. The wifi is free and usable for web surfing but not fast enough for streaming.
We got a double club room. Very roomy. Clean. Lot of counter space for toiletries. The bath robes are quite nice. The beds were comfortable.
Paying for club concierge might be worth it for certain people/families. Especially if no car and/or rushed for time. Includes free continental breakfast and a light appetizer/dessert for dinner. More than enough for breakfast and dinner. I’d rather check out the great Vancouver food scene but my family was there for only 1 night so tried it out.
The pool is clean, heated, cool, but swimmable, even in the winter. The hot tub is large but not as hot as I like.
Fitness center is clean and a good size with headphones, water, and cold towels.
Overall a great hotel that I would definitely consider going back.
Excellent customer service. Right in the middle of downtown. Great view from the room. Room was clean and spacious. Food ordered through room service was good. No complaint except for the water in the washroom seemed to contain a high amount of chlorine for some reason. Hotel staff said that it was supposed to go away in few minutes but it never did. That is NOT to say that the water wasn’t clean. Our stay was Ok overall. Wouldn’t mind staying there in future.
I stay in Vancouver about once a month for business. My company has several agreements with local hotels, but Hyatt is my preferred place to stay. Clean, neat rooms, smack in the middle of downtown, great restaurant. Bar could use a greater beer selection to showcase the local flavor, but that’s a minor thing.
The staff and service was first rate. The facility is clean and beautiful. The room was quiet and the deck had a wonderful view. We even forgot a gift card in the room and Lost and Found retrieved it for us and returned it to us. Impressive! We will be back!
I love staying at the Hyatt Regency. It’s a perfect location, right in town and only a quick walk to Pacific Centre. There is also sky train access. Rooms are lovely, clean, and spacious. Big comfy beds and a starbucks in the lobby. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Vancouver!
The Hyatt is located in central Vancouver. A great place to walk most places in town. There are many restaurants nearby – so many it’s hard to choose. The Hotel itself has a 24/7 gym, hot tub and swimming pool. The restaurant has excellent food and drinks – nice atmosphere too. Book your parking when you check in to save $.
Hotel is fairly old. Seems they remodeled a few years ago. However, hotel is nicely updated and easy to get around in the city from this location. Hyatt beds are always great.
Parking situation is confusing. Was told I’d be paying close to $35 a night. Only paid $20 which was nice. Maybe posting more information online or creating a card to hand out to guests at check-in would be helpful. The elevator to the parking area was terrible. Slow and inconvenient.
I booked through a 3rd party site and at check-in I was asked for a “voucher.” I never was emailed a voucher from anyone. I checked my email twice. The GSA helping me seemed confused that I didn’t have this said voucher. Her attitude about it was semi off-putting but she got me checked in and said she would follow-up about the voucher. She never did follow-up with me.
We could hear the women next door to us at night. Laughing and talking. Wasn’t a huge deal as I was able to sleep but the walls are definitely not close to soundproof.
When we first walked into the room I noticed coffee drippings on the desk and the nightstand. Pretty gross. The room service door hanger was crumpled up and dirty and the notepad next to the phone on the desk had been scribbled in by previous guests. There was high dust in our room that I also noticed. Be wise to PM this room ASAP. That oversight by housekeeping seemed kind of weird for a Hyatt Regency.
The Sheraton Wall is my go-to hotel in Vancouver. I have worked in hotel operation management so my eyes are drawn to the things described above. The hotel was pretty good overall and I probably would stay again.
My mother got sick during our vacation and the staff made arrangements for her to have a late check-out of 4:00 PM. This gave her the ability to get much needed rest before leaving for the airport.
We stayed here for a weekend after our cruise and had a lovely stay. We got into port early in the morning and went to the hotel to leave our luggage so we could explore the city before check in. The lady advised us if we wanted to upgrade for $35 more (total) we could check in then- heck yes! We had a room that had a huge patio and we sat out there in the morning w/ our coffee and watched the port and ships come and go. The only minor issue was when the people opened the slider next door it was loud and squeaky (but I assumed ours annoyed them too). The room was nice, the bed was soft and the bathtub was delightful.
Enjoyed our one night here at the Hyatt check in was easy and effortless. The concierge was extremely helpful planning our day. The beds were very comfortable and provided us with a roll away for our daughter that was also very comfortable. We had drinks in the bar that were great and enjoyed talking to the bartenders telling us where we should have dinner. Great recommendations for dinner the Italian kitchen was great.
Was taking a cruise out of Vancouver and wanted to come to the city a day early. The Hyatt Regency was approximately an 8 minute walk to the Cruise terminal which is also a nice waterfront area with restaurants and bars, 1 minute walk to the light rail station and a less than 5 minute walk from Howe Street which is a great bar area. The lobby was upscale and modern without being pretentious, there was a nice restaurant and tasting bar which stayed open late hours. The rooms were clean and updated and the view of the city was amazing. My one and only gripe was the shower. The shower was the modern “rain fall” shower in which the nozzle was in the ceiling. It was wonderful and cool to look at but not functional for proper cleansing. All and all, it’s a great place to stay for an overnight or a lengthy visit.
We stayed here after our Alaska Cruise, close to the ship terminal and within walking distance of so much. You can get on any bus to talk you anywhere. You can walk to Stanley Park from the Hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bell man got our bags up to our room within The views are gorgeous
This hotel couldn’t be more convenient to restaurants, shops, sites, and public transportation. There’s a Starbuck’s in the hotel, and a so-so restaurant that’s a little on the pricey side. I would opt for eating in some of the nearby restaurants. The hotel is spotless and the staff helpful.
