Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel

this was a very nice hotel – walking distance to many attractions. very clean, good helpful staff. breakfast buffet was well worth it — many choices and good quality. free flavored water in lobby and sometimes cookies

he room is clean and the bathroom newly updated. It states clearly on the concierge lounge card that each room gets one guest (and you) into the lounge. However, groups of 4 to 6 come in constantly, and the one guest rule is not policed. The lounge is also small (about the size of one hotel room), so the tiny lounge felt more like a McDonalds play pen than anything. If the 2-person rule was enforced, the lounge would still be crowded but at least more manageable. Breakfast in the lounge is just not possible – so crowded with large parties and overrun with children: standing room only, Not a great experience – will be trying a different Marriott next time.

Although the hotel needs a bit of sprucing up, the staff are superb and the location is ideal for access to the downtown core and waterfront (200 meters from Olympic torch). Restaurant menu and service are excellent.

Small issues with the room (broken towel rack, broken toilet flush lever/plunger) were dealt with immediately.

Would recommend as a good option if you aren’t looking for opulence.

Lord Stanley Suites On The Park

We arrived in Vancouver to discover our room (penthouse) was much smaller than advertised. The website claims freshly renovated (my question would be when?) The living room is so small that two people fill it completely. The television didn’t work for the first night and wasn’t reported to the day staff. The toilet backed up and the staff were unable to locate a plunger. At least the person on the front desk suggested Safeway to get one at 10.30pm. The kitchen lights didn’t work without turning the ceiling fan on. No milk or tea bags, no customer service by the man on the desk on our arrival. He doesn’t know how to problem solve. The master room (laughing) no ceiling fan and due to the room being 70% glass it was very hot. Then a disappointing breakfast where nothing was explained and to an Australian you just don’t help yourself to the fridge or cupboards but this was expected here. The is a shower curtain in the bath made the shower a very closed in space and a funny grey mold on the tiles doesn’t say freshly renovated.
The vertical blinds did nothing to keep the light or the heat out of both the main room and the strange glassed in patio. All in all the hotels saving grace was the location and Sunday onwards staff. I would not say this is value for money. I hope our other hotels are not as disappointing this one during our stay in Canada.

My family booked an one bedroom unit here for 4 nights. Great location so close to Stanley park, restaurants and boat harbour. We were lucky to be on the Harbour side so had great views ( we go to see the view from the other side of the building when we had a plumbing issue and had to spend a night in another unit while the issue was resolved), The unit was too small for four adults but as we were only there 4 nigh were weren’t able to book a 2 bed unit which was very disappointing.
Staff were very helpful and able to come up with a suitable solution to a plumbing issue that arose in the unit.

Loden Hotel Vancouver

I love the Loden, this is the 2nd time ive stayed there. Staff is exceptional, the property is quiet and well appointed. Location is excellent and convenient to everything. i wish it were a little less expensive but you do get what you pay for!

We so enjoyed our stay with high-quality accommodations, personal customer service and a great location to enjoy this wonderful city. Take the time to walk to the many wonderful neighborhoods and enjoy the workout facility as well.

This is a stylish hotel with a service minded staff. It is quite a large hotel but it breathes the atmosphere of a small hotel. Room was great and clean, super bath room. Location is convenient and easily reached, though the Melville Street is somewhat shaded and colder due to large buildings surrounding it. I can recommend staying here for a couple of days to explore Vancouver.

Deluxe King Suite: the master bedroom and bath were fine BUT the twin room was so tiny you had to climb a bed to get to the closet. There was barely any walking space. The window was jammed and the room was terribly stuffy. The light switches did not work and we even had to plug in some of the lamp ourselves and turn them on at the bases. The idea of two bathrooms was great, but the one off the dining area set off a blaring smoke alarm from steam, even when the door was closed. We had to constantly ask for towels since they did not provide wash cloths unless we asked. Parking was tight for the mini-van. Got stuck in hotel when keys got deactivated by mistake- you need them to use elevator or get to parking. Shuttle drops off only. Loud street noise due to paper thin windows which to not open. Location for walking was good, Breakfast and breakfast room staff was the best feature but they are discontinuing it. Pool area is shared with Marriott and is very humid, hot and the pool is high in chlorine. We had to ask them to clean better – the paper towel I used to wipe up water from a spill was black when I was done. The common living area was OK with very limited TV options. Overall disappointing.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay here. The rooms are very big – two bedrooms, lounge area, kitchenette and enclosed balcony with table and chairs. The beds are very comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels etc. We were on the 15th floor and even though there was some street noise there was very little noise from other guests. I would guess that rooms on the lower floors could suffer quite a bit with street noise though. The free breakfast (which is being discontinued in 2018) was limited but pastries were of a good standard. I would suggest popping down and getting the breakfast to eat in your room as the seating area is small and cramped. The decor is quite dated and tired but generally clean and tidy. For the price paid and the size of the room I would say this is a great base for a family holiday.
Stayed here for one night as we were transiting through Vancouver on our way to Victoria. Wanted a place that was convenient and could easily accommodate 5 people. The Landis hit the spot. We had a two bedroom room. The larger room had a king size bed with en suite. The second bedroom had a queen bed. There was another bathroom/toilet, a well stocked galley kitchen with large fridge, dining table for four, 2 seater sofa plus a single couch, and a small enclosed balcony/sunroom. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. We used the sofa bed and that was comfortable and not springy or noisy. Each room had its own tv. The room was clean and we had no issues with housekeeping. The hotel is in an excellent spot and many attractions can be reached by walking. We walked to Granville island from the hotel and it took us around 15 mins over the bridge to the island. The hotel did offer breakfast although we did take it up. There was a notice saying that they will discontinue this service though. The pool and gym area was fantastic. The pool was a great size and good for a doing a few laps in the morning. The hotel is next to the Marriot suites and it looks like they share the pool and gym area. There was parking available down below and were charged around $20 for the night. When you first walk into the lobby you get a sinking feeling as it is dated and the man behind the small counter is not the very sociable. However, the suite was great and did not disappoint. We were on the 3rd floor and it did get a little loud if we had the windows open from the Friday night street traffic, so perhaps getting a higher floor might help. The hotel was great and allowed us late check out at 12pm and even gave us a card so that we could leave the car there for longer and we got the car around 3pm.

L’Hermitage Hotel Vancouver

It was wonderful hotel with very nice staff. Great location, convenient to dining, shopping and sightseeing. Steve was awesome at check in. Would definitely stay there again when we visit Vancouver again.

The staff was professional, polite and went out of their way to meet our needs whether it was helping with dining reservations, directions, ideas for activities around Vancouver. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. We had breakfast there twice and it did not disappoint. Our room was clean and our beds were comfy. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and fitness room. But perhaps the best thing about the hotel is it’s location: it is accessible to everything awesome about Vancouver from restaurants, shopping, activities, etc. We would love to come back and stay here!

We arrived at the L’Hermitage from an Alaskan Cruise. Since our arrival was in the morning hours the hotel was gracious enough to store our luggage and check us in. They recommended a hop on hop off bus tour while we waited for our rooms to become available. The rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom had a large bath tub which was great after 7 days of using a small ship bathroom shower. The staff was wonderful and eager to be of service to us and our traveling friends. Loved the 5th floor terrace area. The only down side to our visit was the mattress on our bed was a little worn and the guests staying across the hall from us were very loud during the early morning hours, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. I would definitely recommend staying here on a visit to Vancouver.

We had a great experience staying in the hotel and especially the customer service we received. We would like to specifically mention the excellent customer service provided to us by Amy. She went above and beyond in solving issues we had. She is extremely knowledgeable, fast, courteous and an excellent problem solver. Her service made our stay enjoyable!

The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is a wonderful hotel and in walking distance from so many things to see in the city. The hotel also has a Starbucks in the lobby (convenient for those of us with caffeine addictions) and an excellent restaurant, Mosaic, on the second floor. The outdoor pool and hot tub are also very nice for relaxing. But what really makes this hotel shine is the service. We asked the concierge, Vanessa, to help us book a whale-watching tour, and we mentioned we were in town for the Lady Gaga concert. When we returned to our room later that day, she surprised us with a note and some pre-concert drinks and snacks. That small gesture went a long way. We will stay here again when we return to Vancouver!

Loved the service, view and room. Traffic is an issue, but come on, you’re in the heart of an exceptional location. Sophisticated elevators are welcomed advantage. Would not change a thing. So happy here.

Hotel Blu Vancouver

Stayed 4 nites staff very friendly helpful, close to everything shopping tourist things. Used the pool sauna a lot very clean well maintained. Great gym as well nice equipment. Rooms are roomy no view where I was but no matter. Restaurants nearby very good Vietnamese just round the corner. Expensive hotel but very comfortable

Totally nice, but the bathroom was like fishbowl.
The coffee machine was Nespresso which I love. Cool.
The amenity goods were not my liking because the shampoo and the conditioner were for men.

Location is good: there are BC place, good restaurants and bars. Gas town is also close.

Just booked this hotel for a single night as we were on a tight schedule
I had arranged in advance that, if we had arrived on time they would have stored our luggage if the room wasn’t but, in the event the train was about 5 hours late, so it was only for an hour or so. They were very prompt in their replies to questions
As the room wasn’t ready when we arrived- a little early for check in, we went for a walk, there being no bar in the hotel. Coming back there was a little confusion with the next receptionist still saying the room wasn’t ready, so we waited a while and when I asked again about 15 minutes later, it transpired that it was. The luggage was delivered to the room promptly after I requested it
The room was far better that I had been expecting. It was what I think is described as a loft style room, with a sitting area and the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom upstairs. It was extremely spacious, with large flat screen televisions both downstairs and in the bedroom. The bathroom was well appointed with plenty of towels, robes and slippers. One small thing was that the bath toiletries were in a dispenser that was at an ideal height for shower use, but inconvenient for the bath. There was also a fixed glass panel by the bath which must have made cleaning very difficult
There was a nespresso machine with plenty of cartridges. There was also supposed to be a tablet to integrate all electronic devices, but was away for a software update, so I didn’t see that, but wouldn’t have had time to have used it anyhow
The bed was very comfortable and made for a good sleep
There was
We were on the second floor and just down the hall was a business suite which allowed for complimentary document printing, which was ideal for the boarding passes I needed
Also down the corridor was a swimming pool, with steam room and sauna, which I didn’t have time to use, nor the gym, which looked adequately equipped and in use regularly.
Somewhat oddly situated between the gym and the swimming pool was a laundry room with the ice and vending machines. The washers and dryers were complimentary, which was a boon and I did manage to try them out
We didn’t try the hotel for breakfast as we had a fairly early flight, but checkout was quick and smooth
I have to say that I was very surprised and impressed by my stay at this hotel and only wish I could have spent longer

Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown

I booked 3 rooms and arrived at a busy time but was met by a very helpful and friendly reception (Liz). The rooms were quiet and clean. The hotel had a bar and food but was also close to Yaletown which has many pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. Nice underground parking. Will return for sure.

The hotel is in a great position and everything is easy to walk too. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the staff are also very helpful. The food from room service was top notch and super yummy. I would recommend staying here.

The Holiday Inn Downtown is a good hotel in a good location. The rooms are clean and tidy, the beds comfortable and the staff very attentive and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. A special mention to Tim the Barman and Lenny on breakfast service as they provided an exemplar level of service. My one and only gripe was that the bar shut at 10; however, given it was quiet at night and with the choice or bars/restaurants nearby that can be excused.

The hotel is very comfortable, good beds. The hotel is in a pretty good location. The restaurant, bar is average but service is very good. That makes up for average however nothing to complain about.
There is a very nice smoking area on the second floor of the hotel. Open air with table and chairs and should not bother non smokers because of its location.
I would recommend this hotel as it is excellent.

Excellent rooms, extremely helpful staff, great location in town. This place was outstanding for the price, location, and experience. We would definitely stay here again at the drop of a dime. Grade A treatment from everyone.

we had a corner room–the view of the city at night was beautiful..the front desk staff was very helpful in suggesting how to get around the city and what attractions we could walk to from this location

There was confusion due to communication at the time of reservation regarding use of “Be My Guest” certificate. Staff at the hotel and Hilton Honors staff each went beyond the usual business practice to solve the problem and make my stay there a pleasure in every respect, which was much needed following a week of travel. Could not be more pleased or impressed at the helpful attitude and service.

Stayed here one night and enjoyed it. friendly professional staff, nice clean rooms, nice business room with computers, printers etc. nice lobby, pool etc. Elevators could be quicker. Didn’t care for the parking fee & the fact that every time you use the elevator you need to swipe (although I can understand the reasoning behind it). Otherwise, no complaints!

GEC Granville Suites

What won us to this place was a free parking promotion they were running in March when we booked for July. It didn’t disappoint, though. We’re right in the heart of the city, with easy access to everything we wanted to do (Stanley Park, Granville Island) by bus.

The hot tub in the Penthouse is lovely. Our room was clean, and surprisingly quiet for being right in the heart of Vancouver. Now, we were on the 8th floor, so I’m not sure if that would have been true on or nearer to the ground.

On the Penthouse as well, there’s a full service kitchen (you may want to bring your own forks — they only had two!) that we didn’t know about when booking, but we were thrilled to find! We cooked our dinners in there each night and saved a pile of money that way! There’s also a little rooftop terrace with a great view of the city from 12 floors up right off the kitchen.

We even discovered that there’s a common use ping pong table in the lobby area on our last night there! Cool!

The only thing I will say that was a bit disappointing was that it was difficult to unload luggage from the parking garage, as the elevator starts at parking level 1 and there are only stairs up from level 2. Also, having to use keys EVERYWHERE (even on the elevator to be able to push the buttons) was a little annoying, especially since our key cards magnetized several times and we had to keep replacing them. These things would certainly not stop me from staying here again, though!

We stayed in July 2017. The rooms were nothing special – I’d even say below average towels, bathroom amenities etc. But the Wifi was good, front desk staff very helpful and parking is available. The area is just a short walk and ferry ride to Granville Island. grocery store just a few blocks away. HotTub is tiny (2 people max). beds/pillows are average to below-average.

If your Vancouver stay will include Stanley Park, Nightlife (Gastown, Yaletown) and Granville Island – great place to stay. If your plans include items NORTH like Capilano, Grouse Mtn, Whistler etc, then you may want to stay north of the Lions Gate bridge. This bridge is bumper-to-bumper every day. Morning and Evening.
