Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

One could not imagine a more Royal treatment from everyone involved . Unless perhaps you’re a Royal . The location is ideal for everything in the heart of Vancouver . How many cool interesting people can you see on a Friday lunch anywhere else in town being serenaded by jazz piano in the always brilliant Bacchus . Great Hotel . just go !

The Spa was amazing! Definitely will go again!
The room was fantastic! What a relaxing four days, great location even though it Rained it was still totally relaxing! The nespresso machine in the room was such a Bonus! Thank you!

For perhaps 15 years we have stayed at this wonderful hotel when we make our annual trip by train across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver. It has always been an important part of our trip and because of its great location makes our 4-5 day stay a perfect home base in the city. We have gotten to know many of the staff over these years and miss those who have left but are always feeling welcome when we arrive.

You feel special the second you step through the doorway. Not snobby at all , they make you feel very welcome . A nightcap in the lounge is a must , have something special . You can’t get any closer to the heart of the city .

We stayed here twice, on the way to Whistler, and on our return. The first stay was better as we had ‘newer’ rooms, the second room was a family one and it was quite old and smelt damp. The breakfast included was great and the location was perfect. The concierge was. not the best, both days he could not help me with my enquiry and left me feeling frustrated and lost. I wish I had asked the concierge on our first day as he seemed fantastic. ūüôĀ This meant we missed out on a lot of sightseeing we had planned because I had no idea on how to get around. Walking is great, but can only take you so far, especially when we were tired from skiing. The pool and hot tub were great, although I felt a bit self conscious walking through the lobby to access it. The restaurant attached is actually not even affiliated with the hotel which is bizarre as they share access and toilets. A bit annoying to not be able to book to our room, but it was a nice spot to sit close to home and allowed our kids to come and go as they pleased safely. The check in staff were wonderful. Not sure if I would stay here again due to the age of the rooms. bit location is perfect

We got a corner room which has a decent sized bedroom as well as decent sized living room but the kitchen and bath are very small. Also had to wait to get checked in for about a half hour as there were only two receptionists checking in many people ahead of us and one of the receptionists was a trainee (although she did a fine job). Then to get up the elevators took 15-20 more min’s because there are only 3 and they are very slow. Things were a little outdated, but the bed and pillows are very comfortable. It is a great location to walk around and not need to drive. Joe’s original restaurant, connected to the lobby, is a great place to eat and we highly recommend.

Ramada Downtown Vancouver Granville

The staff – both at checkin and checkout were very friendly and pleasant. Remarkably so. At $88 the room was very well priced, compared to nearby competition, and clean. I really value quiet and this room delivered; it was a peaceful night.

Stayed with 2 adults and 3 kids, this was the only hotel out of 4 i called that put us all up in 1 room. Stay was great, room was great
The front desk clerk was very helpful and nice. Parking was confusing and the room was a little small with one of the beds right next to the door. Bathroom was a good size
We had the king room. Smallest room I have every had … anywhere. Our shower didn’t work. The prices were hiked for that weekend ( wish I had known.) cost us over 600$ for 2 nights. The 3rd night being only 74$. Very loud. Some kind of construction going on. But good location

Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront

Service was excellent. Just too out dated. And would have been nice to know you have your own parking garage with elevator to the lobby we never would have used the valet parking for 40 dollars a night

This hotel has a great location in downtown Vancouver – a short walk from the harbour plane terminal, downtown shopping, embassies. The desk staff were excellent hospitality professionals – friendly, efficient, effective and helpful without being obsequious or annoying. They paid attention and were helpful. Top marks.

The not so great side was the very noisy elevator – at least I think it was the elevator and not a rusty mothership landing. The bathtub was one of those old, wide, shallow ones – who likes to bathe in those? The room itself was mostly nice. Linens good – white and clean. The room had a chaise by the window – a nice touch and I would have liked to have lounged there with my book, but it had obvious stains from intimate activities, so not appealing. They should either choose the upholstery more carefully or have covers for them that can be properly laundered.

Perfect location, very good hotel. The service was otherwise excellent but they didn’t fulfill the order of sparkling wine to the room before our arrival. I know it sounds like a terrible first world problem but as I had ordered it well in advance and as it wasn’t exactly cheap I expected it to be delivered as agreed. Otherwise I have nothing to complain, they treated us very well and even drove us to a hockey game one night after not being unable to get us a cap.

I recommend to explore the restaurants around the city and not the bar in the lobby. The service we got there was slow and bad compared to any other place we went to.

Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel

I have yet to stay in this specific hotel and am VERY excited to spend my weekend with my girlfriends in downtown Vancouver.
I am very disappointed and sad to say that when I called to confirm my reservation (to make sure it was in their system, yes, I like to be sure) and although I booked through Expedia I was very confused on why the lady wasn’t able to pull up my reservation. I completely understand the whole third party situation as I use to work in a hotel. BUT from the moment this lady answered the phone she was completely RUDE. I was simply confused and still am confused on why she couldn’t pull my name up? As I had told her, when I check in they will have to search it by my name anyways? I am so very disappointed in this receptionist. I hope and pray the staff working during our stay isn’t this rude. I was simply asking some questions, not sure why she had to be rude. If you don’t like your job, find a new one.

This was our first time to Vancouver and we were very impressed with this hotel! It seemed much nicer than any other Marriott we’ve ever stayed in. The views from the 26th floor out towards the harbor are spectacular!! The staff seem very friendly. They recommended some great spots around town. Parking is underneath in a public garage with hotel parking starting on the 3rd level. We did not eat in the hotel, but every time we walked past it had a good sized crowd. The bar has a great selection of wines, beers and spirits. The bartender was very helpful and had great suggestions. Walking around the city and waterfront were simple from the hotel’s very agreeable location.

Lord Stanley Suites On The Park

My partner stayed here as he had just gotten out of the Lions Gate hospital from a mountain biking accident. As our travel insurance was supposed to organise our hotel and didn’t, we were left stranded in Vancouver with nowhere to stay for the next 2 weeks We had plenty of luggage and I was the only one capable of carting it around. After calling numerous booked out hotels I got through to Lord Stanley. What a saviour! They didn’t have a room available for the whole 2 weeks but after a long telephone conversation (Frustrating on their end I’m sure – sorry mate!) the receptionist was able to organise us 3 seperate rooms for the duration. We checked out of the first at 12pm and checked back in at 3pm and so on. During the checking out process they stored our luggage (including cold items in the fridge) and brought them up to the room again when it was clean. Each day when we arrived and left the hotel the receptionists would have a chat which was very comforting in the time which was very hard for us. The staff at this hotel are very accomodating. The service was impeccable! We stayed in Canada/ North America for 2.5 months and this was the most outstanding service by far. I can’t comment on the price as it was paid directly from our travel insurance company. We stayed in two rooms overlooking Alberti street and one overlooking the bay. Both were beautiful views! We had an excellent time. The elevators were fast, the breakfast was good but basic. We didn’t go down for breakfast much as its a first in first served until sold out situation and we weren’t getting up early.

The location was perfect! We couldn’t go far from the hotel due to my partners injuries but everything is in walking distance! Safeway, restaurants, the library, Stanley park etc are all extremely close. This is a great hotel in a beautiful street! 10/10. The only improvements I could see would be the size of the bedrooms and the appliances in the kitchen.

For the touristy rooms, I feel the study is a bit of a waste of space when the bedrooms are so small. This was a little hard when trying to get my partner into bed at night as one side was against the wall and the other side had very little room to move. I also feel that the utensils in the kitchen need to be improved.

Because we stayed for quite a long time we made plenty of meals. We had to keep buying the utensils/ pots/ pans etc from Safeway to cook the meals we wanted. Because we stayed so long the kitchen was very handy, and the main reason we called this place in the beginning over other hotels.

Otherwise everything about this apartment is great. All 3 rooms had a balcony and superb views. The location and friendly staff made this place amazing. If we ever get back to Vancouver we will stay here, no doubt about it.
