Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver

Popped in here for a tea before departing Vancouver. The staff were helpful and friendly and made us welcome. We had three cups of tea and complimentary biscotti. The tea was very good, and very refreshing, but as you would expect was quite expensive – well what did we expect! A relaxing hour before we left the city!

Perhaps it is just me, but to pay over $700 a night for a small room with just a bed overlooking train tracks just doesn’t do it for me at all. I thought there would at least be a sitting area, but there wasn’t. Only a chair at a computer desk.

This is a fine hotel to stay in. The staff is welcoming and patient. Corey and Yumi at the concierge desk were helpful in confirming our tour of Victoria and finding a nice restaurant. Robert at the bell desk made us feel right at home by showing us around our room. He also offered some wonderful suggestions about where to dine. He’s very personable and we enjoyed chatting with him.
The room was neat and clean and the view of the harbor was spectacular. We could see the mountains, the movement of the seaplanes, the twinkling lights at night and the cruise ship down below. Overall, we’re glad we stayed at this hotel.

Our Room did have an A/C unit in the room which kept the room a nice temp. The location was great and parking was secure across the street in a garage. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was great but I did find Vancouver to be dirty. Trash on the sidewalks and streets. Some areas smelled of urine…
The Steam Clock in Gastown is a must see on the hour. It plays the Westminster Quarters and blows smoke on the hour. Cool Show.

First of all, this is a very small, boutique-type hotel. My guess is, it’s privately owned. Second, the staff is WONDERFUL. They were all so helpful and kind. The place looks as though it’s been fairly recently renovated. The original building is very old… probably historic.

When we arrived, the front desk clerk immediately informed us that there had been no A/C for a week. Apparently, they were having work done on it, but they didn’t anticipate having it for yet another week. They offered us a 20% discount on an already excellent rate if we’d go ahead and stay. Since it was only one night, we accepted.

Our room was on the second floor and was quite adequate. There was a very nice computerized safe for our belongings and fortunately, we were able to open the windows. Everything was clean as a whistle, aside from one small patch on the bathroom ceiling that looked as though there had been a leak and it was starting to mold.

Sadly, this hotel appears to be rather near a questionable part of town. Also, there is a bar attached to it. Because we had to open the windows, it took us awhile to get to sleep, since it was a Friday night and people were partying two stories below. We were really tired, and eventually got to sleep, despite a lot of outside city noise that went on all night long. The beds were very nice.

Because I booked through Orbitz, the front desk staff said they’d have to contact Orbitz for my 20% off refund. I have to say in the defense of the hotel that our refund happened within two or three days after our stay. I was really impressed with their integrity.

If I ever returned to Vancouver for a short stay, I would consider this hotel again. Hopefully, their A/C would be fixed!

Listel Hotel Vancouver

This is now my second time staying at the Listel Hotel. My wife and I absolutely love the location (right on Robson) and have always enjoyed our stay here.

The staff have always made us feel very welcome. Very friendly and courteous…even went above and beyond when I had asked to see if they had a microwave that I could have brought up to my room for the night.

The FREE complimentary wine tasting daily from 5-6pm was a great way to start our evenings. The wine tasting staff were very knowledgeable and it made from some great conversations in the lobby with guests.

The FREE e-bikes were a blast. 3 hours is more than enough time (daily) to cruise around downtown Vancouver, through Stanley Park and Seawall. Biking was easy up those tough hills with the push of a button. Will definitely be taking advantage of those again our next stay.

Overall, another amazing trip and what a fantastic stay. Highly recommend Listel Hotel to anyone.

We had two stays within one week at the Listel Hotel. The hotel is very well designed, full of artworks, and the staff were first class – consistently helpful, friendly and very efficient. This was my first time in Vancouver and we were given every assistance finding our way round the city – and were even lent the hotel’s electric bikes for a few hours’ r(de which was great fun. The location was perfect for Stanley Park, English Bay and the seafronts ( and shops which we didn’t want, but others might) and there are lots of good places to eat locally. The hotel’s linked restaurant, Forage, where we had breakfast each day and one supper, was excellent though it felt strange having to remember tobook a place for breakfast in a hotel of this class. I marked the hotel ‘average’ value for money as it WAS expensive in comparison with most other places we’ve stayed – but we were visiting over the weekend of BC Day, the Pride March and the international Fireworks Display at English Bay; probably prices are lower at less intensive time when accommodation isn’t in so much demand. We would certainly stay again – thank you to all the staff!

Le Soleil Hotel Vancouver

In retrospect , should have booked at the Rosewood as the prices were similar . The Indian restaurant in the hotel was overpriced and not particularly good . The towels were nice but besides that , nothing to speak of . Breakfast not included .

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy with the location of the property. The hotel is a bit pricey but is guess we were there on the Canadian day weekend so it could be understandable. If you are taking a cruise this hotel is ideally located. Lots of eating places around and walking distance to the main shopping streets.

We were getting off an Alaskan cruise and needed a place to stay for one night. This was an unexpected gem. The location is an easy walk from the terminal and to many places to eat. The room is a mini suite with a European flair in decor. We had great service from Janessa Coleman a supervisor at the front desk, and her colleague Brett Archibald, the Concierge. Both are knowledgeable and can help you get to where you want to go. Skip the big chains and give yourself a real treat.

The Hotel Le Soleil is beautiful, public areas as well as the guest suites. Colors are very inviting and restful. Very close to shopping and the cruise ship doc as well as float planes. Beautiful location.

Howard Johnson Downtown Vancouver

We stayed here for 4 nights this month. Other than the smell of urine in the hallway this was a good stay. The room was clean. The highlight of this place was Zuzanna who was very attentive to our needs, and even went above and beyond. Thanks for everything Zuzanna!

Vancouver was pretty jammed so this was our last option. It’s a great location on Granville st, although the natives get pretty rowdy after dark and the smell of weed is evident. There are a large number of homeless people in the area – the most we’ve seen packed into one location. The hotel was pretty poor. Plumbing was bad, our room had the worst shower we’ve encountered. Pipes all over the place. There was a horrible smell in the corridor. The room size was ok, and it was fairly clean although they kept forgetting to change the dirty cups and put more coffee in. We would definitely not stay there again. Sleeping in the car is a much better option.

stayed for 3 nights but disappointed they charged different day rates for the same very average room. Distinct unpleasant odour in room on arrival which only went when very noisy air con on. On top floor so not too noisy, but rooms in need of an update. Front reception staff friendly and helpful.

Wanted to book one night at weekend but would only take a 2 night booking even at late notice.

Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver

There was a lovely restaurant next door with friendly, helpful service and great variety for breakfast. The room was Clean and spacious. The hotel was well located, easy walking distance to many city attractions.

Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, lovely ambience. Very close to concert venues and water taxi, walkable distance from Pacific Central Railway. In the heart of the restaurant area; an easy walk to Gastown.

All hotels in Vancouver are pricey, this one a little less than many. However it was worth it to feel comfortable in this clean remodelled hotel. If you want to be close to Vancouver’s main theatre or sporting venues then this is the hotel for you. Convenient (and again, pricey) underground parking. A nice restaurant on site completed a most enjoyable experience.

The renovated rooms were very clean and modern. Compared with the cost of other major hotels, this was a great find. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Parking was easy at hotel garage. Hotel desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was great. Will definitely stay here again. They didn’t have a pool but hot tub was nice.

I would have given the Hotel a higher score, but did not for 2 reasons…. Beds were not bad but the pillows were horrible. For some reason the rooms were not conducive to spending time in…somewhat sterile…and not a lot of place to sit. I will say Robbie, the Service Associate was great and so was Elba, our Housekeeping Lady! Kudos to you both! Very small Lobby area…..good for ‘coming and going’. Wifi was spotty and kept getting bumped off to Shaw.

Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver

Had an excellent stay here while we visited the beautiful city of Vancouver. The hotel, staff, and service were all great. We highly recommend it. Of special note was that they gave special service to a member of our party who was ill. We would have appreciated a smaller restaurant also in the hotel for a simple lunch but fun restaurants were nearby.

I always want to come back to Vancouver for vacation and this year is very special where everyone is so proud and high spirit to celebrate their 150 Years of Canada. The hotel facilities, Spa/Pool, hospitality from the Front Desk, helpful bell staff for directions, excellent bed and accessibility in Downtown. I will be back for sure!

Excellent location and very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings for downtown location. Staff very willing to answer questions and advice. We would recommend this hotel to first time traveler. Breakfast was quick and delicious choices.

As a universal branch, this hotel is the worst four seasons I have been to. Not saying it’s bad or anything, but the hotel and the facilities are rather too old. It also took so much time to get our room. Other than that, I really enjoyed the pool and gym area. Free coffee and tea served, I get to chill for a bit with a cup of americano after gym in the morning.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel following a cruise that we had to Alaska. I enjoyed several things about this hotel including the air conditioner in the room, the view that we had, the cleanliness of the room, and the location of this hotel to the hop on hop off trolley. We were right next to some buildings that were under construction, but they were careful not to make loud noises early in the morning.

367 for a tiny stuffy room. Ac was broken and front desk was so rude and unhelpful. We feel completely ripped off and it ruined our weekend. All this property cares about is money and not the satisfaction of the patrons. Not sure if management has changed or what.

the rooms could really use a renovation and a fridge (other then the minibar) would be appreciated on hot summer days
the parking is expensive (30 dollar a night)
as for the rest the hotel is o.k., not a bad word about service, cleaning or other items

Nice small hotel beds and pillows good. AC very loud. Internet not good, could not see at night Netflix and other programs from Ipad. Reception desk nice people.
Parking too far away and expensive. Unfortunately I had to leave a day earlier but there was no credit or refund…should not be like that. probably will not use that property again

We chose this location because it was close to Canada Place where we would leave for our cruise the next day. Our first impression when we walked into the lobby was good, especially the staff. After that is declined.

The hotel is dated and the halls were extremely warm on our way to the room. Upon entering the room we were surprised with how large the room was and the bathroom as well. However, the wallpaper was peeling and the ceiling showed water damage in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we slept well, but unfortunately that didn’t make up for the other flaws.

They have a breakfast place in the basement that they give you a coupon for, but I would advise that you avoid this place for breakfast. The moment we sat down we noticed people were annoyed and agitated. This gave us the impression that the service was slow. Our impression was spot on and it was slow, but for what it’s worth there was an older couple running it and I felt bad for them because it was super busy. With that being said the food was horrible, burnt and metallic tasting.

Overall not very impressed except with the staff who were very helpful, including the older couple in the breakfast room.

Great location in downtown Vancouver, unless you want to spend over $300 for a nicer room. Super helpful and friendly people at the front desk. Yes, bed is a little soft, but if you are jet lagged, you will still have a sound night sleep. Very close to restaurants, shopping, Stanley Park, the cruiseport, and other fun things to do.

Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver

This hotel is well located, walking distance of main streets, public transit and restaurants. The room was tiny, but very clean, comfortable and quiet for one night stay. The check-in and check-out process was quick and efficient.

This hotel is situated in a great location. A walk to the entertainment area, bars and restaurants, including an Irish Pub next door. But I wouldn’t recommend it for any more than one night.
The room itself is quite comfortable and modern, the bed is comfortable and bathroom works, however I really don’t understand why there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, there’s not even a fridge to hold a bottle of water. There’s also no laundry to wash your clothes. So the ‘comfort’ levels actually plummeted for me.
There are loads of other hotels in the district, I would suggest exploring these before settling here.
Disappointing for an international traveller. This is more geared for your overnight stayers. Luckily there is a Tim Hortons across the road. Looking forward to my next leg.

We wanted to stay in downtown Vancouver without breaking the budget. This hotel met that criteria, clean and comfortable but otherwise average. The furniture in the room and bathroom was a bit tired, but the room included a fridge and safe. Breakfast was good except for the coffee which was weak. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Best feature was that we could walk to Yaletown and Gastown restaurants, and to the Granville Island Market.
