Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver

Amazing, helpful, competent and kind staff from the valet to the gym! No matter your needs they are amazing!

Beautiful views. Excellent food! Try the butter chicken…

And it’s right next to Fly Over Canada which I love too!

Pan Pacific Vancouver epitomizes “Best in Class”. I did a ton of research prior to finally choosing this hotel amongst the list of Downtown Vancouver hotels – and this Ranks #1!

It has the “best view” of the Harbour. It is the “best in location” and central to Stanley Park, Gastown, Fly Over Canada, Robson St, free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge or Grouse Mountain and more… We were there for one week and did not require a car because all was convenient.

No words can express the level of professionalism, class and service the Pan Pacific Vancouver offered my family. It all starts from the GM Craig Norris-Jones who exemplified the pure meaning of best in class in customer service. Along with his colleague Kathryn, they ensured all needs were met.

I highly highly recommend staying on the 23rd floor – the Pacific Club Floor Lounge. Not only are the suites fully refurbished with sophistication, the attention that ever guest received is outstanding.

Under Joel’s excellent direction, my family and I had a great experience and wanted to thank him and the PCL team – Aileen, Kenette, Executive Sous-Chef Stefan & Executive Chef Jeff. We appreciate all of your efforts and assistance especially with our food allergies.

Enjoy the beautiful city of Vancouver and stay at the Pan Pacific – a memorable vacation you will never forget.

Excellent hotel. Conveniently located for all downtown activities.
We had a high floor, corner king bedroom. Very spacious. Extreamly quiet, clean and comfortable.
Would definitely stay here again when visiting Vancouver.

Checked in late to the Auberge after all-day travel from the East Coast so pretty much passed out in our room as soon as we entered it. Room was clean and fine enough for one night’s stay. The main draw is that it is super close to the waterfront making getting to the cruise ships super easy. For the price, I would stay again as that was pretty reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

We requested a room on the top floors with a harbor view. We arrived early from the airport, about 11;30. We had booked 3 rooms, but was greatly relieved that they had 1 ready that we could put all of our luggage in. The room was very nice with BEAUTIFUL views of the harbor!! We received a corner, top floor room. You get views from both sides and we loved it!! The other 2 rooms that we had booked were the least expensive inside rooms. They had been upgraded to a suite with a small harbor view. Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable with nice quality pillows–very important to me for a great night’s sleep. We were going on a cruise the next day…so I woke early and took pics of our ship coming into the harbor from our window in the bedroom!! Nice, easy walk to take over our luggage to the ship. Would definitely stay here again!!

Popped in here for a tea before departing Vancouver. The staff were helpful and friendly and made us welcome. We had three cups of tea and complimentary biscotti. The tea was very good, and very refreshing, but as you would expect was quite expensive – well what did we expect! A relaxing hour before we left the city!

Perhaps it is just me, but to pay over $700 a night for a small room with just a bed overlooking train tracks just doesn’t do it for me at all. I thought there would at least be a sitting area, but there wasn’t. Only a chair at a computer desk.

This is a fine hotel to stay in. The staff is welcoming and patient. Corey and Yumi at the concierge desk were helpful in confirming our tour of Victoria and finding a nice restaurant. Robert at the bell desk made us feel right at home by showing us around our room. He also offered some wonderful suggestions about where to dine. He’s very personable and we enjoyed chatting with him.
The room was neat and clean and the view of the harbor was spectacular. We could see the mountains, the movement of the seaplanes, the twinkling lights at night and the cruise ship down below. Overall, we’re glad we stayed at this hotel.

Really nice modern hotel well located for all tourist things. Cruise terminal is literally a 5 minute walk, even with suitcases ! Concierge would have arranged their transfer if we[‘d wanted.
Large room, more like a suite overlooking the terminal with coffee machine, 2 televisions and safe.
Breakfast is complimentary and only continental style, but hey, it was more than enough for us.Room was spotlessly clean and toiletries were replenished. Friendly staff.Free wi-fi worked well in room.

We stayed here after our cruise to Alaska, it was easy to get to and we didn’t have to take a taxi. Breakfast was in a small room and goodness knows what would have happened if everybody had wanted breakfast at the same time. Breakfast was very basic, but we didn’t really need much and on the second morning were having breakfast on the Rocky Mountaineer so it didn’t matter. We were able to drop off our luggage early and then went back later to check in. Great location for downtown Vancouver.

Booked in for 1 night before our cruise, chose it for its perfect location and it was certainly better than we expected. Lovely lady on reception upgraded our room as it was our wedding anniversary and what a room we got. It was a corner suite with lovely views, big comfy bed and clean bathroom, there is a good gym available which we were glad to use and a breakfast thrown in. Breakfast was reasonable, cereals, rolls etc.but the service was a bit…at the time of our visit, and it wasn’t late, there were no dishes or plates, there was a young girl there but when asked for plates she didn’t know what to do and scooted off somewhere. Guests were coming and leaving as there were no dishes to put the food on, eventually another lady came and guess what? she WASHED some by hand, which I’m sure the first girl could have done if she’d known how.
I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, I really did, but because of the fiasco at breakfast I can’t and be honest, the staff, bar one, are great the hotel is ideally located and they even took care of our luggage when we came off our cruise, just get the breakfast sorted.

Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver

I have stayed here many times and have written a previous review; however, this is the first time I have stayed here prior to departing on an Alaska cruise. My wife and I found it absolutely perfect when used as a cruise departure point.

My previous opinions about this great place were reconfirmed so I will not write again about the hotel room features and especially the concierge floor benefits. These people have cruise departures down to a science. From the concierge to the bell staff, we received perfect, detailed instructions as what to so to avoid the confusion.

On our departure day, our ship, Regent Mariner, was one of three ships all boarding at the same time. The bellman came for our bags in our suite and the next time we saw them was in our cabin. While many others struggled and appeared confused by the crowds and checkpoints, we had no problems as we had been expertly advised.

If you plan to use Vancouver as a cruise departure city, I strongly suggest you consider this great hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at this Pan Pacific prior to a cruise departing 29 May. It is a perfect location for boarding a cruise ship. It is basically built on top of the port at Canada Place. It us a high end hotel and also quite expensive but worth the splurge for cruise embarkation. We rode Amtrak Cascades from Seattle on a Saturday morning. We then crossed the street (rolling 4 huge suitcases) to the local metro transportation train which is a straight shot to the Waterfront stop. Directly across the street from this stop is Canada Place. It was very easy and a fun way to experience local flavor. Canada Place area has tons of restaurants, a food court underground across the street for fast food options, plus the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet with view of the harbor and cruise ships is quite good but does cost around $31 CAN per person so try to get it included if interested. Fly Over Canada simulation ride similar to Soarin’ is located here. There are also free shuttles all day long to Capilano Suspension Bridge right out front. Stanley Park is a few miles away on the other end of the harbor but will require a car or taxi. The luggage transfer from your room provided for just a gratuity to the porter is an awesome service! Also, we experienced a medical issue on a Sunday morning of a holiday weekend and the hotel was able to have an on-call doctor call us within 5 minutes to assist. Amazing! We would definitely stay here again for a cruise out of Vancouver.

Auberge Hotel Vancouver

My wife and I spent a lovely couple of days at Auberge in mid-April. All things considered; price, location, room quality, etc. Auberge is hard to beat. We checked in late in the afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a suite on the 9th floor. Very clean and roomy with wonderful views of Coal Harbor. The location just can’t be beat if you plan on exploring downtown. We were within close walking distance of Granville Street and the heart of downtown as well as Coal Harbor, the convention center, and tons of bars and restaurants. There’s no restaurant in the hotel but that’s almost a matter of semantics as there are so many places to eat so close by. Two close by places we recommend are Hapa Izakaya, Nightingale, and Miku. We didn’t have bathing suits but the pool area looked pretty awesome. We’ll have to do that next time. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again.

The position of this hotel is really good. Very convenient for Coal Harbour, Gas Town and Chinatown. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the harbour and snow capped mountains as well as the high rises of W Hastings street.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay Downtown.

We stay here for our association meetings a couple of times a year, It is always a nice stay, I know what to expect. The rooms are a decent size and always have a great view of the city. Kureg coffee machines in every room along with a mini fridge and microwave. Bathrooms are neat and clean. The breakfast room has the usual assortment of cereal, eggs, yogurt and such. I notice some people complain about the breakfast, but it is what it is, and it is included. You won’t get any better anywhere else at a hotel. Underground parking available at an additional fee. Having stayed here many times over many years, it is time for an interior paint job to spruce it up.

Was really pleased with the Pan Pacific. Stayed the.l night before our ship sailed. Had a concierge level room. Fantastic views. Quick walk to the cruise terminal – literally down the stairs. The hotel transferred our bags. Great service

Very nice !! Great location service the lounge on the 25 th floor nice for a quick breakfast and afternoon snack. We enjoyed the facility with dinning, and location to all the actives in and though Vancouver.
Thanks

PHENOMENAL hotel!!!!
We stayed here overnight & we LOVED this hotel!! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful; the adjoining rooms were clean, nicely appointed & had promised port/harbor views! We even got upgraded to a suite which was to die for & had tons of room!! It was perfect for our morning departure on the Disney Alaskan Cruise. We simply took the elevator down a flight & found ourself in the port area to check in. VERY convenient!!! Also, there is a complimentary city shuttle outside that takes you to the Capilano Suspension Bridge!! A very cool stop!! About a 20 min ride through the city – really cool to see it! Plan on 2 hrs to do the Suspension Bridge….from there, you can hop on the city bus stop outside the Suspension Bridge park & ride 15 min up the hill to Grouse Mountain. From there, you’ll need to take a taxi back to hotel, unless you catch the last bus pick up at 7:30 pm!

Front door staff excellent and extremely helpful! Front desk staff excellent housekeeping excellent rooms spotless

Beds were very comfortable and clean. Great view of the city. Loved having the IMAX theatre in the same building. Went to the fly over Canada which was awesome.

Really enjoyed sitting in the bar and watching the sea planes take off! Rooms are spacious and unusually shaped making them more interesting than normal

We found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The ocean views from our room were spectacular. We enjoyed the gym, hot tub and had a wonderful dinner at Five Sails. This was an amazing getaway!

Auberge Vancouver is in an ideal location. About a 2 minute walk from Canada place, 5-10 mins to gas town. You can walk along the sea wall to Stanley park in about 30 mins.
It is a nice hotel with a good pool.
I stayed for 6 nights for a work conference and was in a suite with a kitchenette, living area and a separate bedroom which was a fairly good setup though I am not sure how it was for price as I did not pay for it.
Some parts of the room were a bit shabby though the bed was very comfortable. The wifi was unpredictable. Despite having a kitchenette there was not cutlery so we had to buy a knife when we brought home some cheese from the markets.
My biggest criticism of this hotel was the breakfast. It was complementary though far inferior than I have had at far less expensive hotels (eg Comfort inn Vancouver). There were cold hard boiled eggs, pastry, bread, yoghurt, whole apples, juice and coffee.
One night we tried to go to the bar but it was 9:55pm on Saturday night so it was closed.
This is the sort of place that 3 seems to low for, 3.5 would be the real rating as 4 is too high. 7/10.
