Great room, comfy beds. Walking distance to everything. The bar and restaurant downstairs are fantastic. Such kind and friendly wait staff. Come for the comfy beds stay for the food and drinks. Very pleasant atmosphere.
I’d like to highlight the staff in this review. The staff were lovely and quite professional in their service. Just because of them I’d consider staying again. The stay was without issue, and the room was comfortable! The room was clean and stocked… couldn’t understand the tv channels.. but I’m assuming I had to pay, when I’ve never had to at other hotels. Overall great experience
This was our choice for a 3-day stay in Vancouver prior to a cruise. The people were very friendly and helpful and the room was large and well cared for. Fresh cookies on the front desk in the evening! Walking around town is easy with this hotel as a starting point.
We were very satisfied with our stay at the Best Western Chateau Granville. We got an excellent value for a very good room in downtown Vancouver. The restaurant provided a very good breakfast. I also enjoyed a workout in the modern fitness center.
Our heater didn’t work with -2 degrees temperature. They brought a heater, our luck that didn’t work either. And there was no other room available that night. They brought up extra blankets.
The next day our room was changed and they also treated us to a great breakfast for 2. Jonathan was excellent and took care of the inconvenience that we experienced really well. We’ll stay there again.
This is our 2nd time here and you can’t go wrong . Nice restaurant and lounge ( outside seating also ) , good food and enough to fill you , blocks from shopping , Yale Town , sea bus to Granville Island , BC Place is a 10 minute walk , Gastown , Stanley Park and everything else can be reached with a 5-10 minute cab if needed .
Staff here is great and friendly , there is underground parking we used here which runs at about $20 a day and is gated and we found very safe . We also asked for a higher up room this time and they put us on the 15th floor which gave us a great view . Rooms are spacious and they come with a balcony which is awesome !! We will go back again for sure
Rooms are functional and clean but as the building with no charm at all. Zippo.
Food for breakfast is quite good. Size are large and get u ready for a good day in the city. Service variable as some waiters are super nice and others rather functional.
Drew the concierge is a star! He makes the place really good.
Location is central if u want to visit downtown vancouver. Rates are good compared to the old harbour.
Very nice hotel. It is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no complimentary breakfast like you would expect at most Best Westerns which is a drawback. Otherwise I would highly recommend.
Enjoyed my stay in such a prime location, a walk down Granville street to some great restaurants. Went out on the town and enjoyed a night of dancing. Further down the street is Robson where there are so many places to shop.
Helpful and accommodating staff! Delicious breakfast, great location, not far from port to board cruise lines, walking distance to many restaurants and bars, Highly recommend! We had 18 family members ages from 13 months to 77 years,
I primarily travel for business, I always find the staff and service at the Chateau Granville Exceptional, and the location is very convenient. The facility is older but well maintained and the staff are well informed.
Good location Hotel with Average Quality Overall, The amount being paid for the breakfast was supposed to be for the full room, but at the end some Coupons were given for the adults Only with very limited choice of breakfast items in a small restaurant. The Elevators were very slow and couldn’t support the guests. In overall and expensive stay but with an average quality.
Was a little noisy at night but comfortable stay overall. Came to Vancouver for a wedding with my 4 children. Great location for shops and restaurants. Parking around back was tricky with minivan. Fridge was noisy.
The room was just as good as the higher end hotels. Just needed one night before cruise departure. Went out in area to find dinner, because the hotel restaurant closed at 9:30. The area around the hotel seemed a little questionable. I would advise staying in after dark.
1: The rooms in this hotel are cared for and maintained with meticulous detail. Everything from cleanliness to the chocolate snack with the personalized note from the housekeeper.
2: The location is great for seeing Vancouver on foot. Granville Street certainly has it’s issues but I’ve never experience any aggressive pan-handling. I’ve stayed in this hotel on multiple occasions and walked in every different direction. Vancouver is a fabulous city.
3. The value for this property is exceptional. The staff are friendly, professional and engaged in insuring a good night’s stay. I always sleep well at this hotel.
I would recommend this hotel everything was great. The staff the cleanliness, the rooms are comfortable overall nothing to complain about. The location is great lots to do during the day or night. As I had an appointment at Vancouver Hospital the cab fare was cheap $20.00 with tip included.
We stayed in this hotel because of its location and the fact that we have always had a good stay at the Best Western hotels. This hotel was clean and pleasant staffed with helpful and nice people. Location was fantastic as it is in walking distance to great sites, fantastic food and right on the subway line. This Best Western did not disappoint and would be happy to stay here again.
We stayed in a very comfortable and clean one bedroom suite. The beds were very comfortable with nice bedding and plenty of pillows. We were on the 4th floor so the street noise was very noticeable, but given the area of town and the fact it was a Saturday night, not surprising, and not the hotel’s fault. We had breakfast in the Edge restaurant, it was not inexpensive, but very tasty and generous portions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We had a wonderful time Front desk staff where pleasant and helpful as where all other staff. The hotel was clean and the beds where super comfy. Location was perfect. It was easy to get to attractions in the city.
11 minutes walk from the beach. This hotel in central Vancouver is a convenient 5 minutes’ walk from Robson Street shopping area. A restaurant is located on site serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Free WiFi is available.

Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station is 1,969 feet walk away and offers access to the Canada Line. Vancouver International Airport is only 7.5 miles.
The staff were great and the location was very central to everything so were able to walk to a lot of the sights. The restaurant was excellent.
The bed was really comfy and room service was amazing. The staff was extra friendly. WOW
Large room with separate bedroom and lounge area – great for our son to be separated for his own space. Great in house restaurant
An 11-minute walk from Vancouver Art Gallery and the Granville SkyTrain station, this modern 14-storey Downtown hotel is also 3.5 km from Vancouver Aquarium.
The straightforward rooms and suites come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and MP3 docks, as well as room service, microwaves and minifridges. Upgraded rooms and suites add balconies and city views; suites also add separate living areas with pull-out sofas.

My family loved the suites. They all had great balcony views of the street. So much space with fridge microwave too! Parking was easy in and out one day fee that’s easy!! The staff was super friendly and full of smiles. CHeers to the Brazilian fellow who helped us get our luggage from basement! Obrigado!
We arrived at Chateau Granville for our second stay on December 21, 2016 a late check in for 7 nights. We booked a deluxe room – 2 double beds, mini refrigerator & microwave.
Room 902 is your basic suite. Bedroom, 2 double beds, dresser and large screen TV.
Living area included a pull out sofa bed and chair, large screen TV, desk & chair, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with supplies replenished daily.
Chateau Granville is located within walking distance to many dining places, shops, the Pacific Mall, cinemas, waterfront, BC Place, Queen Elizabeth Theatre (ballet/opera) The Orpheum (symphony), Fly over Canada attraction and many more.
Daily housekeeping & linens are changed on 3rd day.
There is a restaurant (Edge Grille) on the main level. We elected to go elsewhere for our meals.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Vancouver and will surely return.
In winter the heating seemed inadequate, as the room was chilly.
2 Elevators: very old, very slow, outdated – upgrade badly needed.
Front desk staff could be more friendly – aloof.
Housekeeping fallen down:
– On our arrival we found many hairs from prior guests on the floor, sink and toilet areas.
– Even after daily housekeeping the hairs remained there.
– TV’s area was a bit dusty.
– Carpet area by the sofa bed/coffee table had a sticky residue that was never cleaned.
– Cleaning skipped for microwave.
Excellent service and very helpful staff. Great location with ease to take the very convenient public transport. The room was very clean with great service. Staff went out of their way to assist in guidance for travelling around Vancouver.
Very clean, and there is a lot to do within walking distance. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues. The king suite was very spacious and the restaurant serves the BEST prime rib burger.
My husband and I stayed here early this week. We stay for two nights. The room we stayed in had a King Bed, and a separate area with a pull out couch. The bathroom was simple and clean – but could use a little TLC. There is a balcony with some nice views of the harbour. The hotel is located in an average neighbourhood in Van City. There is a restaurant in the lobby which is good – but closes early. Many spots to walk to for food though. Two blocks away from Pacific Centre. $16 a night for underground parking.
