Auberge Hotel Vancouver

My husband and I stayed at Auberge Vancouver Hotel after our Alaska Cruise last Sept 23-24, 2017. We got this room from Booking.com. Great location, It is about 7mins walk from Canada Place. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was spacious and very clean. Bedding was comfortable. Staffs are courteous and service was excellent. Continental breakfast is complimentary. We also tried booking Auberge prior our Alaska cruise last Sept 13-15, however, it was fully booked that period. We stayed at a different hotel, a well known brand, but service and quality is not as impressive as Auberge. We would say it’s our top choice hotel in downtown Vancouver.

The Auberge hotel has consistently provided great stays for us whether we are a family trip or couples trip. The rooms are always clean and comfortable with great views even if you aren’t in an ocean view. The city night views are beautiful. The pool is beautiful and very large. On family trips in the summer we enjoy the amenities on the deck while the kids swim in the pool still in eye view beside us. The gym is great has everything my gym has at home if not more. The continental breakfast is great and the kids love it too which can be a challenge at some places. Overall we stay here on most our Vancouver trips for the good service , beautiful rooms, pool and breakfast. Location is walking distance to so much downtown it’s ideal. If your flying in harbour air it’s a 5 minute walk. The pub is excellent and nice to have at location of hotel. This hotel beats a lot of others for the price you pay and service you get

Checked in late to the Auberge after all-day travel from the East Coast so pretty much passed out in our room as soon as we entered it. Room was clean and fine enough for one night’s stay. The main draw is that it is super close to the waterfront making getting to the cruise ships super easy. For the price, I would stay again as that was pretty reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

We requested a room on the top floors with a harbor view. We arrived early from the airport, about 11;30. We had booked 3 rooms, but was greatly relieved that they had 1 ready that we could put all of our luggage in. The room was very nice with BEAUTIFUL views of the harbor!! We received a corner, top floor room. You get views from both sides and we loved it!! The other 2 rooms that we had booked were the least expensive inside rooms. They had been upgraded to a suite with a small harbor view. Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable with nice quality pillows–very important to me for a great night’s sleep. We were going on a cruise the next day…so I woke early and took pics of our ship coming into the harbor from our window in the bedroom!! Nice, easy walk to take over our luggage to the ship. Would definitely stay here again!!

Really nice modern hotel well located for all tourist things. Cruise terminal is literally a 5 minute walk, even with suitcases ! Concierge would have arranged their transfer if we[‘d wanted.
Large room, more like a suite overlooking the terminal with coffee machine, 2 televisions and safe.
Breakfast is complimentary and only continental style, but hey, it was more than enough for us.Room was spotlessly clean and toiletries were replenished. Friendly staff.Free wi-fi worked well in room.

We stayed here after our cruise to Alaska, it was easy to get to and we didn’t have to take a taxi. Breakfast was in a small room and goodness knows what would have happened if everybody had wanted breakfast at the same time. Breakfast was very basic, but we didn’t really need much and on the second morning were having breakfast on the Rocky Mountaineer so it didn’t matter. We were able to drop off our luggage early and then went back later to check in. Great location for downtown Vancouver.

Booked in for 1 night before our cruise, chose it for its perfect location and it was certainly better than we expected. Lovely lady on reception upgraded our room as it was our wedding anniversary and what a room we got. It was a corner suite with lovely views, big comfy bed and clean bathroom, there is a good gym available which we were glad to use and a breakfast thrown in. Breakfast was reasonable, cereals, rolls etc.but the service was a bit…at the time of our visit, and it wasn’t late, there were no dishes or plates, there was a young girl there but when asked for plates she didn’t know what to do and scooted off somewhere. Guests were coming and leaving as there were no dishes to put the food on, eventually another lady came and guess what? she WASHED some by hand, which I’m sure the first girl could have done if she’d known how.
I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, I really did, but because of the fiasco at breakfast I can’t and be honest, the staff, bar one, are great the hotel is ideally located and they even took care of our luggage when we came off our cruise, just get the breakfast sorted.

My wife and I spent a lovely couple of days at Auberge in mid-April. All things considered; price, location, room quality, etc. Auberge is hard to beat. We checked in late in the afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a suite on the 9th floor. Very clean and roomy with wonderful views of Coal Harbor. The location just can’t be beat if you plan on exploring downtown. We were within close walking distance of Granville Street and the heart of downtown as well as Coal Harbor, the convention center, and tons of bars and restaurants. There’s no restaurant in the hotel but that’s almost a matter of semantics as there are so many places to eat so close by. Two close by places we recommend are Hapa Izakaya, Nightingale, and Miku. We didn’t have bathing suits but the pool area looked pretty awesome. We’ll have to do that next time. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again.

The position of this hotel is really good. Very convenient for Coal Harbour, Gas Town and Chinatown. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the harbour and snow capped mountains as well as the high rises of W Hastings street.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay Downtown.

We stay here for our association meetings a couple of times a year, It is always a nice stay, I know what to expect. The rooms are a decent size and always have a great view of the city. Kureg coffee machines in every room along with a mini fridge and microwave. Bathrooms are neat and clean. The breakfast room has the usual assortment of cereal, eggs, yogurt and such. I notice some people complain about the breakfast, but it is what it is, and it is included. You won’t get any better anywhere else at a hotel. Underground parking available at an additional fee. Having stayed here many times over many years, it is time for an interior paint job to spruce it up.

Auberge Vancouver is in an ideal location. About a 2 minute walk from Canada place, 5-10 mins to gas town. You can walk along the sea wall to Stanley park in about 30 mins.
It is a nice hotel with a good pool.
I stayed for 6 nights for a work conference and was in a suite with a kitchenette, living area and a separate bedroom which was a fairly good setup though I am not sure how it was for price as I did not pay for it.
Some parts of the room were a bit shabby though the bed was very comfortable. The wifi was unpredictable. Despite having a kitchenette there was not cutlery so we had to buy a knife when we brought home some cheese from the markets.
My biggest criticism of this hotel was the breakfast. It was complementary though far inferior than I have had at far less expensive hotels (eg Comfort inn Vancouver). There were cold hard boiled eggs, pastry, bread, yoghurt, whole apples, juice and coffee.
One night we tried to go to the bar but it was 9:55pm on Saturday night so it was closed.
This is the sort of place that 3 seems to low for, 3.5 would be the real rating as 4 is too high. 7/10.

This hotel is part of a complex with a residential component, offices, the “Terminal City Club” and hotel rooms on floors 8 through 12. Our bedroom and bathroom, for the price and convenience of the location were clean, comfortable and good. The staff, particularly housekeeping, were excellent. There is also on-site parking and I recommend that you get a pass allowing in/out privileges at $38 per day which will be included in your hotel invoice.
However, we were at this hotel for 8 nights and the disappointments piled up, quickly: 1. there is no in-house cocktail bar or restaurant; 2. the Fitness Facility is connected to the Terminal City Club so when the Club closes so closes the Fitness Facility, which was for us 3 straight days; 3. The “breakfast salon” is beyond a joke. It is so small, perhaps seating 20 at a pinch, that twice we had no where to sit so were forced to take the meagre offerings to our room, which others often did, and another time we returned just before10:00am, the cut off point….a hard and fast rule. The food choices are minimal and consist only of bananas, apples, yogurts, croissants, ice cold hard boiled eggs, toast and cereal and even these few items were not always available; 4. the breakfast salon dishwasher is so crammed that you will often find the so-called clean cutlery coming out will need to be washed by you; 5. the elevator/room key seemed with alarming regularity to get deactivated and I found I went through 4.
For those staying 1 or 2 nights this is probably acceptable, but not for those staying any longer and given the many negatives we found, my overall suggestion is to stay somewhere else.

Nice less expensive option with little sacrifice close to everything in Coal Harbour, Canada Place, Gastown & Downtown. Please just remind the maid to not leave her Walkie talkie blasting in her cart in front of guests doors at 800am please.

Great location walking distance to basically everything downtown. Close to the train station so easy access from the airport which was ideal for us not having a car. Nice clean rooms, spacious and the heating was good. Staff were nice and friendly. Hotel facilities such as pool and gym are connected to the city club next door so if this is a priority to you just don’t stay over holidays because they are closed, but this didn’t bother us and they had notified us prior to our stay so we had no expectation, which was great. If you are looking for comfy, clean and quiet place to stay in downtown I’d recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge for four nights in December to visit friends and explore the downtown core. Though this was not our first time visiting Vancouver, it was our first time staying at the Auberge. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and found Reception to be helpful throughout our stay. Our room had a fantastic view and was nicely appointed, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel’s location, however, was the highlight of our stay. My husband and I were able to walk to the harbourfront and enjoy a seaplane flight to Nanaimo, shop at the Pacific Centre and also along Robson Ave, and dine at a wide variety of culinary hotspots. Transit was very accessible and allowed us to easily travel to other locales as well as to/from the airport. Breakfast was included throughout our stay, and the baked goods were especially delicious. Overall, our stay was smooth sailing and we would definitely stay at Auberge again.

We stayed here in the second week of November,we had a deluxe King room on the 11th floor. The front desk staff are Amazing so friendly and helpful! Especially the morning, I’m sorry I don’t recall their names but I want to say a big thank you for being so accommodating. The hotel is in a perfect location to get anywhere as far as I’m concerned close to the waterfront and Gastown, the rooms were clean and the continental breakfast was just right. I will be staying here again on my next visit thank you again to all the staff here at this hotel.!

My wife and I stayed at the Auberge Vancouver Hotel prior to our Hawaiian cruise on 9 Sep 2016. When we arrived we were greeted by Virginie Lovejoy, a supervisor, who greeted us with a smile. She checked our reservation and let us know that it was cancelled. After further inquiry we found out that our reservation was cancelled by the company that we booked with and were not told. This could have been a disaster with nowhere to stay. After further discussion Virginie went above and beyond to ensure that we had a room for the night. She found us a room and apologized that the room did not have the view that we booked. The room was neat, clean and well-maintained. Two bottles of complimentary water were provided. This was a room that was consider for emergencies and was a well-appointed. For one night we did not need a view. The next day the hotel provided a bellman to walk our luggage to the cruise terminal. Along the way he provided us with much needed information on check-in, customs and boarding. I want express our utmost appreciation to Virginie about the way she was able to make the start of our cruise vacation a memorable one. We will be staying at the Auberge anytime we visit Vancouver. A lovely hotel with a great staff.
