St Regis Hotel Vancouver

Just returned from a skiing holiday in Whistler and spent 2 days exploring Vancouver staying at the St Regis. Travelled down by bus and found the hotel location to be ideally sited for our planned ‘touristy’ expeditions! The staff were very accommodating, friendly and attentive. The room was far better than we were expecting and very modern with a great flat screen TVs. A great service provided was that all phone calls (including international) were free so we called home to chat to the family for no charge. The restaurant attached to the hotel is one of the best around although not used by us and we opted to use the gastro bar. Again the staff were terrific and the food was exceptional. A great place to stay if you are looking for a reasonably priced, quality hotel in central Vancouver which includes a fantastic full breakfast!

We spent the night after getting into Vancouver around 11pm. Easy drive from the airport and the breakfast in the morning, which was included in our rate, was delicious. The only downside was there is not a dedicated space for the hotel in front of the lobby, so while i was getting the parking pass, lots of drivers were honking and yelling at us. Next time we know to park around the corner and walk into the lobby!

Stayed in room 503 at the end of the hall. Top floor for them. Enjoyed being able to take the stairs every time I came and went. Was surprised at how much street level noise you could still hear, but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. Got lots of good recommendations from the staff at the front desk when needed for places to eat as well as bike rentals. The complimentary breakfast is incredible! There were 3 options on a menu with table service in the lower level dining area. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, staff friendly. Only thing I would have preferred that they don’t offer is a small fridge and microwave, however, with so many great paces to eat downtown it was no real issue. The hotel is right beside Granville train station, and only about 2 blocks from the Van City Centre station so easy to take the SkyTrain just about right there from the airport. Got a free pass to use the large gym next door which was also a good experience. WiFi as usual was free as well.

Boutique hotel is Vancouver’s own city centre, New York-style, heritage hotel that offers classic, yet contemporary accommodations. The hotel is within walking distance of Rogers Arena, fine shopping, numerous restaurants including it’s own and the convention centre.
