Excellent value in a perfect Yaletown location with a most helpful and pleasant staff. Our room faced a courtyard and we had no street noise and plenty of light and fresh air. The room was comfortable and pretty spacious.
I chose Opus for my short two night (in transit) stopover in Vancouver after reading the reviews available . I wasn’t disappointed. It was very easy to catch the SkyTrain from the airport to Yaletown station, and then to find Opus (which is almost directly across the road). The glass of bubbles on check in was very well received.
Everyone was very helpful (reception staff and concierge staff), and the turn down service was also a lovely touch. The room was a good size and had everything you could need. The inroom ipad was helpful, and having wifi included was also appreciated (although I think it really is a must as a standard inclusion these days, and I object to having to pay extra for it in any hotel). Good choice of TV channels and good space for work also provided. Bathroom was also clean and tidy and a good size.
Also very easy to get downtown and to the waterfront, again using the Skytrain.
Not cheap, but from what I can tell everywhere in downtown Vancouver is quite expensive.
I can highly recommend the Opus and would stay here again if I return to Vancouver.
Wont stay anywhere else. Small enough that everyone knows your name. Beautiful rooms with great features. Fantastic deep tub, tremendous service and great vibe. Continental breakfast was yummy and inviting in lobby hotel and happy hour was a great break after a long day of sight seeing and conferences. To top it off, yaletown has every service you would need and great restaurants and bars all within steps.
Located in the hearth of Vancouver’s night entertainment zone. Also excellent choice if you are using local train to/from the airport. Hotel location attracts younger crowd, however the design and furniture would please older folks mainly. Rooms are decent size, bed and pillow are excellent, but the noise from the street might disrupt some people from sleeping. Breakfast is standard hotel buffet, clean and tasty, but nothing special. It’s definitely worth walking a few blocks and get the best breakfast in town at Hotel BLU Vancouver.
