I can’t fault the staff of the hotel, from the reception staff to the housekeeping staff, they were all incredibly friendly and all were ready with a smile.
The staff when I checked in and checked out were incredibly efficient, and was checked in with no problems. Even though check out was at 11am and I didn’t have to be at the airport until 4pm, I was able to leave my luggage with them until I returned, and they also ordered me a taxi to take me to the airport.
Because I was staying over a week, when making my booking I decided that I wanted to book the Moda Suite, which consisted of a bathroom, a living room and a bedroom.
The bathroom was amazing, it had 2 sinks, a very large shower, which was incredible, and was separate from the sunken type bath, which I only used the once; I treated myself to a lovely bath on my last evening, as treat to myself for a hard days packing up all my belongings!
The living room, was quite spacious it had a desk with 2 chairs, a sofa, an arm chair and rather large flat screen TV!
The bedroom was even better! The bed must’ve been a king/queen, it didn’t matter whether I was horizontal, vertical or diagonal on the bed, no part of my hung over the edge! Now that I’m home, I wish I could have brought it with me! It was really comfy and the pillows were really soft, and once I got over my jet lag, I slept like a baby! The bedroom also consisted of 2 wardrobes, one which consisted of a set of draws, a coffee machine, the second consisted of rail space, a safe and mini fridge.
There was a TV on the opposite wall of the bed, but I didn’t really use it, using the one in the living room more.
There is one thing that let the hotel itself down; the Wi-Fi. When I checked in they gave me two Wi-Fi spots I could log into, one which was secure and one which wasn’t. Both were good when they worked, sometimes the signal would come and go, and would say that it wasn’t in range, or wouldn’t let my device connect, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but because I was travelling on my own, I had to make sure that there was a more cost effective way of keeping in touch with my family.
The location of the hotel itself, is great, everything is in walking distance, I didn’t try any of the hotels restaurants, as nothing really on the menu was for me and the prices were a little out of my budget! But there were many places within a stones throw, that did food more cost friendly!
But overall If I was to ever go back to Vancouver, I would definitely look into staying here again.
