Sunset Inn and Suites Vancouver

Our suite was great, spacious, clean, well organised. Great variety of restaurants close by and pharmacy. Located in a neighbourhood (oh my gosh with real trees) off the main grid, $7 cab ride to Rogers arena

Excellent location with many good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for one night in an Executive Suite with two beds for a family of four. My teens enjoyed the space and the balcony. We have view of the mountain and the city. I will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We stayed for 4 nights Saturday to Wednesday.

The area is fairly quiet but is very close to Davie Street for restaurants and bars.

If you prefer others, it’s a 10 minute walk.

The room was large and spacious with all the kitchenette amenities. It was very clean.

Breakfast is ok, please note that you have to take your crockery to the lobby to collect breakfast and take to your room. This may not suit everyone

We were a family of four that included two kids. We had a very good stay. Clean rooms, friendly and courteous staff. Property is well located. Walking distance to the beach. Restaurants were easily accessible. Parking was crammed though but was manageable.

Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel

Was here 3 nights for a conference. Conference was also held here. Rooms was comfortable, spacious, and had a great view of the city. Bathroom was huge. Walking distance to everything! Loved that you could also open the window and hear the city at night. Fresh air was awesome. Super clean.
Doorman was excellent and we chatted often about places to visit, really helpful.
Conference was huge with hundreds of people. Buffet was exceptional every day, food was delicious. Huge fan of this hotel. Will return!!

Concierge helpful. Front desk staff and housekeeping kind of quiet. Bed comfy. Gym and pool awesome. Wet and dry sauna w hot tub. Overall just a great stay. Marriott owners can enjoy the food on concierge level – it is quite good and lots of it. We would come back! Lots of great tours to take fr here. Whistler and Fly Over Canada are “must-sees!”

No restaurant on the property but plenty in the area. (Hotel also a great snack bar). But the best part was the skylight breakfast that is included with your room. BEST Hotel breakfast EVER!!!! The staff was wonderful to us.

Lord Stanley Suites On The Park

Easy walk to Stanley park, shops and busses. Staff are excellent to deal with and are very friendly. Bedroom a little small but overall a small inconvenience. The suites are 1 block from Robson Street which has 19 blocks of shopping.

Stayed there for 3 days.. everything was well organised and comfortable. Nice place. The hotel staff is very friendly, Didn’t have any issue with the hotel. Will recommend to others. Nice place for short and long term visit.

The apartment 703 had everything we needed for a comfortable 6 day stay. The staff in all departments were exceptional, helpful and efficient. The location is good facing Stanley Park and an easy 15 minute walk into the centre. However the bedroom in this Premium apartment contained a rather small double bed and it was not possible to move around it as the room was not very wide. There was one bedside table and lamp but no room on the other side of the bed and no central light in the room with difficult to pull curtains. We solved this by using the sofa bed as well as the main bed. This is fine for two friends but not for a couple. Would suggest checking bedroom when booking to clarify, but would recommend with this reservation

My wife and I run a business together and we try to get away once a quarter to work on projects and do some planning for the months ahead. We saw the gorgeous one-bedroom suites – and the very reasonable room rates –
on the Element website and thought we’d give it a try.

We arrived at the hotel a little before check-in time but apparently the previous guests had really done a number on the room. Cressida at the front desk was very apologetic, stored our luggage and took us up to the 5th floor lounge so we could wait for the room. She even set us up with some dishes and cutlery so that we could eat the lunch we’d brought from home (the suite had a kitchenette, so we planned ahead 😉 The lounge was bright and airy and we enjoyed reading our books. The front desk called when the room was ready (around 4pm) and we checked in to 1805. Cue sad horn noise.

We were SO disappointed in the room – it was very tight and cramped, with the exception of the glorious bathroom. We *thought* we’d booked the same one bedroom suite type that was featured in the photos on the website – so I went back down to the front desk where Benny helped me switch rooms for the next day because none were available that night.

We’d deliberately booked the one bedroom suite without the balcony because we didn’t think we’d use it – obviously we were unaware that the non-balcony one-bedroom suites are MUCH smaller and not suited to our needs. The next day, we were able to switch rooms at noon and the new room, 1501, was PERFECT and exactly what we wanted. Huge space, great layout, lovely views. From here on out, our stay was great and we were very happy.

We opted to say “no” to housekeeping in return for extra SPG points – the housekeeping staff came by to make sure we were stocked up on toiletries and to empty the garbage, which was nice.

We had breakfast a couple of times at the breakfast buffet – a surprising away of food and it was all hot and fresh. I also appreciated being able to go down to the lounge during the day to grab a couple of tea bags and some honey to soothe a sore throat. We got lunch one day from the coffee shop Nosh, which was also very tasty. There was no ice machine, but ice is free at the front desk and when I called, because it was a slow night, they were kind enough to send someone up to our room with a bag of ice, which was really nice.

Overall, the staff here was great and, once we got the right room, it was smooth sailing. Very convenient location, lots of amenities within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend!

Sunset Inn and Suites Vancouver

It is hard to find a place in/near the city that has free parking and free breakfast, but the Sunset Inn has them both! Located ideally within walking distances of many shops and places to eat or a short drive/taxi to everywhere else.

We had a King room near the top floor that had a hide a bed couch that was used as well. The room itself was clean, though it had an old musty smell that did not go away throughout the 3 days that we were there. Minus the smell the room had a balcony with a great view, full kitchen, nice bedroom with the King bed and a spacious bathroom.

Front desk personnel were nice and helped us out with questions on at least a couple of occasions during our stay.

The breakfast is not huge but you get waffles, fruit, cereal, coffee and other small items. Enough to hold you over until lunch for sure.

We did not use the fitness room, and it was odd that it is right off the lobby seemingly tucked away with a window that faced the street.

There were a few minor things here and there that kept this place from being perfect, but for the cost you are not going to find a better value with this great of location in Vancouver.

Good location, near lots of restaurants. Parking is a challenge with a full size car or minivan. No place to sit in the lobby if traveling with a large group. Rooms are small with seating for only 3 in the suites. Staff was very nice.

Sunset Inn & Suites is a very quiet, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Vancouver. Service is outstanding and rates were reasonable. The staff is more than helpful and tries very hard to accommodate your needs. It would always be my first choice when staying downtown Vancouver.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Vancouver a couple of blocks from the water. There is park nearby and plenty of restaurants just around the corner. The rooms were clean with scenic views. Elevators were fast and the staff is friendly.

My family and I stayed on the 23rd floor. Rooms are smaller than we’re used to but beds are very comfortable. Washroom is nicely updated, and it was nice to see a Keurig coffee maker. However, it wasn’t necessary as we wandered up to the 25th floor lounge, which was stocked with plenty of hot choices for breakfast (best sausages I’ve had in ANY hotel). Staff in the lounge were EXCELLENT! Appy hour is also well stocked and nice not to have to venture to a restaurant nearby.

I stayed at this place couple of times. It’s a beautiful hotel with close proximity to offices and many restaurants in the downtown. The food at the concierge room was excellent too. The front desk staff has been very helpful. Enjoyed the stay!

Lord Stanley Suites On The Park

We had a great stay at lord stanly, staff were very friendly (kids loved the High fives David!! ) great value, breakfast was great, location close to stanly park, restaurants, Safeway. Kids were comfortable on the fold out sofa. Only down side is not the best wifi signal, otherwise couldn’t recommend enough.

My husband’s work Christmas party was taking place at the Marina so we wanted to find a place close by to stay overnight. The location was perfect and within walking distance of where we were going.
You need to check in before you can go into the under ground parking. If you are using GSP you can’t miss the building. Check in was quick and easy. The parkade was a little confusing but we managed to find our way to the elevators to head up to our suite.
The suite itself was small, but we were aware of this from reading previous reviews, and we weren’t planning on spending much time there. The view in the morning was amazing, and we were on one of the higher floors so traffic noise was not too bothersome.
If we need to stay in the area in the future, we will definitely come back to the Lord Stanley suites.
Check out was quick and easy as well, so overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Our first time stay at this hotel was excellent. We had a large room, well equipped and decorated with taste. It had all the amenities expected, including a well equipped kitchenette. A generous breakfast was included and Happy Hour / Meal were available in their on-site Bar / Restaurant. It is a 5-minute walk to the Skytrain and Metropolis Shopping Center. Their parking is however a bit pricy. Overall, a good experience to be repeated.

Located a block from Metrotown Metropolis this hotel is a perfect modern comfort. Immaculately clean and modernly furnished. My room was a king suite with a perfect little kitchenette. While I only had one evening I could have easily spent much longer. The evening snacks in the lounge were simple and light. Crispy mini spring rolls, chicken wings and veges. The lounge area was clean and spacious. Had a lovely view of misty, rainy Burnaby but that’s pretty par for Vancouver winter. Convenient to everything in Metrotown including some terrific restaurants like Trattoria and Dinesty dumplings. And if it’s downtown you want to go the train is simple and quick.

Very impressed for my first stay at Elements by Westin. Will not be my last.

Very clean and quiet, great location. Covered parking was definitely appreciated when it was raining! It was close to a lot of restaurants so we could walk to dinner and there was a lot of atmosphere in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend!

Professional staff who let us check out at 1.00 p.m and stored our luggage for us until we could go to the airport. This hotel is well located a couple of blocks from Davies street with it’s many restaurants and a couple of blocks down the hill to the ferry which will take you to the market at Granville Island. The apartment was good value.

We were in the Sunset Inn for a week. From the first visit to the front desk we found the staff very obliging and attentive. The suite was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The bed was enormous and offered a good night’s sleep. For those evenings when we did not venture out, the large screen TVs with movie channels and the free DVD service was invaluable. We used the kitchen on a couple of evenings for cooking and it proved adequate. The breakfast was basic but good enough to get us going for the day. Having washing and ironing facilities was a bonus as we were there for a week. When it came to printing our plane tickets, the front desk proved very helpful.
Overall a good experience in a part of Vancouver that is not too far from the centre and also close to the ferry for Granville Island.
