Best Western Uptown Hotel Vancouver

staff at front desk was friendly. parking is at rare of hotel which is very narrow and limited space. but free of charge. Big supermarket very close to hotel. we stayed for one day only and no issues faced. room size was ok and rate was mid range.

For the amount of money, its on a high side for the service you receive. Limited parking, small break fast room. Its a good hotel, but not for the price that i paid. Location is good, staff is very friendly

St Regis Hotel Vancouver

Enjoyable stay at this excellent small hotel. Rooms are small, yet sufficient space, quite clean, comfortable and well appointed. Appears to have been a some what recent and tastefully done renovation. Very comfortable beds.
Made to order breakfast was simple, yet very good.
Excellent service from the entire staff (front desk, food services, others).
Great downtown location. A 10 minute walk to the cruise terminal.
All things considered, a fantastic value.

Vancouver Hotels and Accommodations Rates, Reviews and Recommendations

Most hotels in Vancouver are located downtown and just about any thing you want to do you can walk to. The streets are very safe and downtown is filled with many Hotels and residential high rises so there is an abundance of shopping, restaurants, theatre and night life as well as both major sports venues.

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa as the #1 Top City Hotel in Canada

Travel + Leisure’s 2016 World Best Awards has named The Wedgewood Hotel & Spa as the #1 Top City Hotel in Canada.

Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver
Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

This isn’t the first time the family-owned luxury boutique hotel in Downtown Vancouver has snagged a spot on the list—it placed fifth in last year’s awards.

“Although we have consistently been ranked as one of the top hotels in Canada, this is the first time we have been voted as number one!” said Elpie Marinakis-Jackson, Wedgewood Hotel’s co-owner and managing director, in a press statement. “It is a true honour and a privilege and we are absolutely thrilled to be ranked among the best in the world by Travel + Leisure.”

The prestigious awards are selected by the travel publication’s readers, with hotel rankings based on ratings in five categories: rooms/facilities, location, service, value, and food.

A handful of other Vancouver hotels made the list, including Rosewood Hotel Georgia ranking second place, Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver coming in at fifth, Fairmont Pacific Rim placing ninth, and Loden Hotel taking the tenth spot.

Hotels near False Creek Vancouver

False Creek is a finger of water jutting in from the sea through English Bay and forms the southern and eastern border of downtown Vancouver. Bridges at Burrard, Granville and Cambie cross False Creek. The bridges are eminently walkable and provide excellent platforms for taking pictures of the Vancouver skyline and environs. A seawall walkway circumnavigates the entire False Creek waterway and is frequented by walkers, joggers, cyclists and skaters alike.

False Creek Ferries

Sights on False Creek include the Science World, BC Place stadium, Rogers Arena, Edgewater Casino, Yaletown, Granville Island, the aquatic centre, and many restaurants and bars.

I’d strongly recommend renting a bicycle and touring around False Creek. The seawall can take you as far as Kits Beach and Spanish banks to the North and to the south you can circle Stanley Park.

Loden Hotel Vancouver

The Loden is both tucked away, and central to anywhere you want to be downtown! The service is always excellent. The rooms are not only clean, they are beautiful. From the lovely city views out the floor to ceiling windows to the well equipped rooms and the luxurious bathrooms with deep soaker tubs, these rooms feel like an oasis. Their tag line “Central. Quiet. Beautiful.” really does sum it up!

The Loden is now my favourite hotel in Vancouver. Here’s why:

I went to work at my office on West Pender in the afternoon and came back to my room in the evening and was greeted with:

– Lights in my room turned on so I did not enter in the dark
– Curtains drawn close for a homey feeling
– The t.v. with the fireplace channel shining warmly
– A complimentary bottle of spakling water, some snacks and a hand-written postcard addressed to me personally (disclosure: we have a corporate account with the hotel)
– Water in a carafe on the night stand with chocolates

As they say, it is the small touches that make the difference. And for a first: there is a hand-held steamer for your clothes in the room. I have been asking hotels to equip their rooms with a steamer for years and I am glad that the Loden is actually doing it.

Friendly staff, 24-hour fitness centre, a great French restaurant (Tableau). What more could you ask for? I would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back soon.

Landis Hotel Vancouver

Landis Hotel Vancouver
The reception area is quite small and understated and my initial thoughts on entering it were ‘I may have made a mistake here’.
However, check in was efficient and we were up in the 9th floor two bedroom two bathroom suite in no time.
Good: Space, cleanliness, 3 televisions, fantastic showers with great hot water, comfortable beds, aircon/heating, views of downtown, location (Taxi rank outside, trolley bus stops), 7/11 store, gym, pool/jacuzzi, breakfast room, complimentary breakfast, kitchen facilities, towels/toiletries, black out blinds, storage space, security, printing facility, late check out, luggage storage.
Not so good: Can be some noise from streets at times (sirens etc). 9th floor was about the minimum height for us.

Three friends and I stayed three nights at the Landis Hotel. We had a two-bedroom suite that included kitchen, living room, glass-walled dining room, and a bathroom with a very long counter (great for four women). The location is in downtown Vancouver. Depending on how much you like to walk, you don’t need a taxi or bus for anything except Stanley Park. The hop-on hop-off bus stops next door; we walked from the Granville Island water taxi in 15 minutes. A wide variety of restaurants is also within walking distance – see The Red Umbrella and Bin 941.

An all-suite hotel downtown Vancouver,  amenities include free wifi, fitness center, a universal gym, a heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi. and courtesy downtown drop off shuttle … Amenities

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

I cannot say enough good things about the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. I’ve been a guest here as a child, travelling alongside my parents on their business travels and am now staying during my own work trips. Staff are friendly and all around amazing. It feels like coming home, in many ways, after long days spent in meetings. Beds are comfortable, gym and pool are lovely and the newly renovated rooms are fabulous.

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Hotel Vancouver for his Christmas Party. The front desk staff were very helpful and informative. We were early for our check-in so went shopping for while. When we returned to check-in, we were given the wrong room. The front desk clerk, Devon, was unaware of our conversation with the original front desk clerk but handle the mistake very professionally. He left to go get some information and upon his return apologied and informed us we were being upgraded to the Gold Club Floor. Much to our surprise !!! Not only were we upgraded, we were on the top floor with privileges to the Gold Club Lounge which included.. Complimentary breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, Dinner Appetizers, evening snacks and and a honour bar. The staff at the front desk on the Gold Club floor were also amazing!!
Our room was extremely spacious, quiet and comfortable.
We’ve stayed in many hotels over the years (some basic and some higher end) and I have say, this has been the best customer service from the entire staff that I have ever experienced. Thank you to all the staff we had contact with during our short stay.
