Staff are very friendly, check in and out was good. We were upgraded, they were full so upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment which was good as we had a kitchen! bed was cosy and bathroom good, kitchen had everything you could want. Apartment was great! Bar is lovely with fab seating, very comfotable and happy hour is good for drinks. We did not eat in the Rest. looked lovely though. No free Wifi (REALLY).. now day and age they should offer free wifi in rooms, rooms are not cheap so should be factored in – free wifi in lobby so EVERYONE heads there so looks messy with people scattered everywhere – this would not be an issue if you offered free wifi – a bit of a let down.$15 a day!! parking $40 a day
we wanted to go to a show and they booked it for us so that was handy! very helpful with info and shows/tours booking! great location, we walked everywhere!! nice and central
Our first stay in Canada from uk and a bit deflating. Poor service, small room and dirty swimming pool were not what we expected especially for the price and in fact all other hotels in our 3 week stay surpassed expectations. Good location for walking around downtown
It’s my first time n Vancouver and I’m privilege that I stayed in Sutton Hotel Place. It’s a nice hotel and the location is so near the shopping malls and convention center which s about 15 minute walk from the hotel. The staff in the hotel are so accommodating and courteous and there are numerous Filipino staff that I encountered and so glad to see them. The only suggestion is to have variety of food specially in breakfast at least to have Asian, Continental, Italian variety. But nevertheless my experience is almost perfect and really recommend you to stay in this hotel on your vacation. There are also lots of restaurants around and groceries as well. Thanks Sutton for the wonderful experience in your hotel.
Great location, good sized rooms and nice atmosphere. Parking was 39.50 but pretty much par for downtown Vancouver. Walking distance to many restaurants (joey across the street (we went for drinks) and also winking judge (we heard was good)). Some parts of the hotel are a bit dated (such as the parkade elevator) but other parts have the historic elegance that makes you feel the stay is money well-spent. All staff we interacted with were pleasant and wanted to interact with us… very nice.
We arrived at 10.00 am and did not expect to get a room until mid arvo but the lady found a great room and gave it to us straight away not like some other hotels we stayed in at Vancouver
The room was good and had a good view over the main street.
Great location close to everything would stay here again no problem was treated much better than we arrived and stayed at a much more expensive hotel down the road
This was a truly great hotel in 1992. The room décor ensures you of that. The public space is quite nice, but it is clearly not the five-star wonder that it used to be. The price was somewhat reasonable for a large city, and it is very well located. Umbrella service was great. A bit of money spent on the rooms would make it a grand dame again.
Second Review Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver booked online and arrived, welcomed by a helpful valet and upon checkin was upgraded and given a room on the top floor, stunning views and restful as i had a very early departure! was lucky to be able to visit with a friend staying in the same hotel
My third stay here. Amazing service from the front door to the front desk. Personable, friendly , best beds and sheets of all time, amazing bartenders in the bar, perfect location for shopping , walking and a view of the famous Robson street downtown. Happy traveller and appreciated the extra customer service when I checked out today about valet parking.
Second Review Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver Booked a suite and a twin room. They gave us an interconnected living room in between which was perfect for us so that the children getting up in the middle of the night because of jet lag, never woke us up watching TV.
Clean and luxurious bath amenities from Gilchrist and Soames.
Check in was fast and courteous.
Gym was adequately stocked.
Only disadvantage was relatively noisy as we faced the street side. And noise from the heating which would go on and off.
Would certainly stay here again, very conveniently located in downtown for shopping and restaurants. Very near to supermarket too
Great hotel in a great central location. I was on 20th floor and I had a beautiful view of downtown Vancouver, yet my room was very quiet. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the turn down service. They even filled my ice bucket. I was very impressed with this hotel. The WiFi was included in my room but faster connection is a valuable at a cost. Something like $5 more. The parking is nearly $40 per day, which you can use the vallet or self parking for the same price. There are tons of shopping and restaurants within immediate walking distance of the hotel. There is a liquor store and IGA Grocery store next to the hotel. The parking lot under the hotel doesn’t seem suitable for large trucks. I’m glad I had the mid size SUV with me this time. That goes for almost all downtown parking lots. If you want to see downtown Vancouver, you won’t need a car, there is bus and sky train stations nearby too. I would definitely be back.
I have had the continuing pleasure of staying at this very fine establishment for many years now and the service never ceases to amaze. From check in to check out the entire experience is stellar with no exceptions. The rooms are elegant, the dining always perfect. I cant walk through the lobby with one or two staffers simply smiling or waving my way. Departure is always tough but satisfaction is near as I plan my next trip to Vancouver and the Sutton Place Hotel
I have stayed at this hotel many times. Service and amenities are second to none. The location is within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, theatre, concerts, sporting events and the sky trains to the airport and outlying areas. I am truly disappointed when the Sutton is booked and I have to look elsewhere!!!
I stayed this hotel 5 nights. It is in the Downtown ( Main town) of Vancouver, about 15-20 minutes from airport bus bus/ car. Rooms are average size. Beds are large with Dream bed(excellent soft to sleep). Has large TV, but can’t watch movie without pay. Has a great view. All rooms have Heater and air conditioner, that u can adjust temperature during summer and extreme winter saeson. Lift of this hotels are very much speedy. Lobby are excellent, have Free wifi.
They don’t provide u Complimentery water in ur room but u can drink water from bathroom’s/Basin’s water, as this water is Pure and safe. In room Wifi is not free but have to Pay (it is a problem). U can go anywhere from this hotel by Taxi ( named Blacktops cab and Yellow cab) or by bus. Near Skytrain station is Burrard St.
