Rosedale on Robson Vancouver

We stayed here twice whilst visiting Vancouver. One time at each end of a Canadian visit. The hotel is well situated near Yaletown and Gastown. You can walk to most places (if you are that way inclined – which we were). Public transport can be used for further trips. The suite was large with a nice large window. We were on the 5th and the 13th floors. Great view from 13th. Ask for a high floor. Everything clean and working. Well serviced. There’s a cooker if you really want to save on costs. Staff very helpful. Can’t really fault. Great for it’s classification. There are laundries on various floors with washers and dryers.

Central location, near big stadium for sports , theatres and shopping.
Rooms are comfortable.
Good sauna, spa and indoor pool about 12 -5 metres long. closes between 11 and 1 for cleaning each day and shuts promptly at 10 p.m.
Bistro attached to the hotel about 20 floors high.
Great high tea place across the road for women in a historical building called Fur Elise.

stayed here for 5nights pre cruise and 1night post cruise.staff all very pleasant and helpful.was on both floor17 and 5 found no problem with either.check was painless on the two visits.hotel is very handy for all shopping and a host of restaurants nearby.sports bar on ground floor is a bit pricey.but overall would recommend this hotel which is within 5 minutes of both hockey arena and football stadium.

Stayed there March 25-March 28 in a Superior King Room on the 18th floor. The room had a huge balcony overlooking downtown. Room was very large with separate sitting room and a decent sized kitchen area (fully stocked). Easy walk to Rogers Arena, BC Place and Edgewater Casino. Came with continental breakfast which was just ok. Toast, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, juice, etc. No meat, eggs or waffles. Hotel is very close to a huge number of bars and restaurants including lots of Asian options. Very nice staff, easy check in and check out and valet was quick. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

On our months tourer of Canada & Alaska we choose to stay at the Rosedale on Robson on two occasions .Absolutely a top place to say,the staff are so friendly &obliging, the hotel is so central to everything, all the top restaurants in Yaletown ,short walk down to Gastown .The rooms were spacious with separate lounge ,self contained ect; The Reception staff went out of their way so we could access our room early after a long flight from Brisbane, have been told they do this on occasions ,which does not go unnoticed .Have stayed at other hotels in that area on previous visit but none have come up to the standard of Rosedale on Robson.

We stayed here twice, on the way to Whistler, and on our return. The first stay was better as we had ‘newer’ rooms, the second room was a family one and it was quite old and smelt damp. The breakfast included was great and the location was perfect. The concierge was. not the best, both days he could not help me with my enquiry and left me feeling frustrated and lost. I wish I had asked the concierge on our first day as he seemed fantastic. 🙁 This meant we missed out on a lot of sightseeing we had planned because I had no idea on how to get around. Walking is great, but can only take you so far, especially when we were tired from skiing. The pool and hot tub were great, although I felt a bit self conscious walking through the lobby to access it. The restaurant attached is actually not even affiliated with the hotel which is bizarre as they share access and toilets. A bit annoying to not be able to book to our room, but it was a nice spot to sit close to home and allowed our kids to come and go as they pleased safely. The check in staff were wonderful. Not sure if I would stay here again due to the age of the rooms. bit location is perfect

We got a corner room which has a decent sized bedroom as well as decent sized living room but the kitchen and bath are very small. Also had to wait to get checked in for about a half hour as there were only two receptionists checking in many people ahead of us and one of the receptionists was a trainee (although she did a fine job). Then to get up the elevators took 15-20 more min’s because there are only 3 and they are very slow. Things were a little outdated, but the bed and pillows are very comfortable. It is a great location to walk around and not need to drive. Joe’s original restaurant, connected to the lobby, is a great place to eat and we highly recommend.

Very friendly front desk staff,
Nice room with little kitchen. There is no dishwasher, and housekeeping does not wash the dishes. So not sure how this would rate for hygiene guess you just have to trust the previous occupants.
Could use some hooks behind the bathroom door. No place to hang your towels etc.
Also a coat rack when entering would be handy.
The bedroom closet is very small.
Breakfast is quite boring and basic.
Steam room is nice, swimming pool is small and not deep, good for young children.
we were on the 15 th floor with 2 very small double beds and I did not like the layout of this room. Bed is right up against the window and the sitting room is dark with no view.

We stayed here for 3 nights right after the new years. Having never been to Vancouver, the location seemed perfect for us. Very easy to get to Gastown/ Granville Island/etc. The hotel had great parking/ very nice layout for the suite/ but we loved the bed and the pillows were fantastic and tried to look them up on line.Bottom line: We definitely would go back here without looking up any others.
We had very enjoyable at this hotel. I stay here with my family. The suite room is very good. Very recommended. Next time we come to Vancouver we choice to stay at here. The front desk staff are very helpful. The best thing is the location of this hotel is. Its location near restaurant. All in within walking distance.

The king bed was great and the room quiet (10th floor). The towels were 2 star quality at best (I would be using these as rags at home). This hotel has limited elevator capacity.. only 3 elevators (and no service elevator) for 21 floors and 3 parking levels.. you will wait for elevators. The hotel is in a great location with good quality beds, so we will probably stay here again BUT it depends on the price point available.

I don’t think I could’ve picked a better resort for my 1st time visit to Vancouver. I read over and over that the resort is in a great location… I used google maps 1000 times to see the walking distance to local attractions… and once I got there, I was still amazed at how accessible the city was from Rosedale.

I booked a 1 bedroom unit for 7 nights through RCI (VI). This trip was inspired by recommendation from a coworker. I normally book beach vacations and honestly, I had always had an image of Canada being cold and boring. Let’s just say being a little open minded and adventurous worked out greatly in my favor this go round.

Unit: We loved the modern apartment style of the room. The unit was very clean when we arrived. 1 Bedroom units are small but neat and “cozy”. (I knew the square footage before I booked) Perfect for a couple; a 3rd or 4th would have driven me insane. The mini kitchen was fully stocked with plates and cooking utensils. We went out and bought a few groceries for cooking brunches. The mini fridge served it’s purpose. Apparently, we got lucky and was assigned one of the few units with a large window in both the living area and the bedroom (room 1913). From the 19th floor the view of the city was phenomenal.

Service: The front desk staff were nice and knowledgeable. They’re strict about check-in times, though. I arrived at noon and had to leave my luggage and kill time in the city until the 4pm check-in. Not a complaint, I was aware of the check-in time well before the trip. One of my few complaints is that I didn’t realize timeshare units don’t have daily room service. I had to call down the 2nd day for front desk to tell me. This could’ve been explained during initial check-in. They did, however, refer me to the VI rep and he personally came up and changed our towels and took our trash downstairs. I thought that was pretty nice. Afterwards we took our trash to the maid serving the floor at the time.

Amenities: There was only one laundry room on the 17th floor. We didn’t have a ton of laundry but since we didn’t get daily linen changes we had to wash the sheets ourselves. The gym only had cardio equipment and the pool is only for laps. I like to workout, so that was a bummer but I made it for with all of the exploring on foot through the city.

WIFI: This was BIG concern coming in. I’m not a 20 something addicted to my smartphone but I have to admit I enjoy social media. I read previous reviews that the WIFI was horrible…. It was surprisingly FAST!!! Maybe I was just in a good area of the resort but the WIFI worked perfectly. I even watched some Netflix at night (Canadian TV programming sucks haha)

Overall: I’d definitely come back. Vancouver is a perfect shopper/foodie destination. There were so many restaurants close to the resort that we had trouble deciding in most cases. A few days we left the resort on foot and didn’t even have a plan of where to go. Just started walking.

Travelled as a group of four to Vancouver the first week of December. We booked a two bedroom suite and were pleasantly surprised by the awesome location of the hotel and the size of the room; it was like having our own apartment in the city. We easily walked to Granville and Gastown from here.

The room had a large living area with a kitchenette (little cooktop, oven, Keurig machine with LOTS of pods, microwave, fridge, dishes and cutlery provided) two decent sized separate bedrooms with ample closet space and a few desks to work at. Each bedroom had a queen bed and they were very comfortable. The suite had three flat screen TV’s in total and free WIFI. Continental breakfast was provided which had a decent selection of toast, buns, fruit, coffee and tea.

As a few people have already noted, the furniture in the rooms is a little dated, but the rooms are kept impeccably clean. Although the rooms could use a little refresh, you can get amazing value here, particularly if you need a suite. We couldn’t find rooms this size in a similar location for a better value.

Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it.

Great roomy apartment. Excellent position, close to all you need, walkable to Gastown, seawall, shopping and more. Friendly helpful staff, easy laundry facilities, garden terrace and pool! Comfortable bedroom, separate lounge and great little kitchen!

Our suite was spacious and was comfortable with a separate sitting room and separate bedroom. The suite also included a well equipped kitchen. The staff were helpful. Unfortunately we had to take an early flight which meant we had to shorten our stay.

Suite was average, bedroom very light and bright, lounge/kitchen very dark had to have light on all the time. No safe in suite so put all valuables in safety deposit box in office behind reception. When we needed to get money out couldn’t find key to box. Am sure l accidentally left key to box on the desk and walked out. Long story short I had to pay $350 CAD for a “locksmith”. Would never stay there again and travellers beware. Have travelled and stayed in hotels all over, this was the first hotel without a safety deposit box in suite. Shame on you Rosedale on Robson.

The 50 th reunion of a flock of nurses descended on this hotel and took over at least 2 floors. Plus a few of us intrepid spouses. Many gatherings in the hotel and central for special nearby events. Would stay there again. Parking was right below.

Stayed here on evening of 26th August. Room very spacious, very clean and light. Convenient location as it was only 4 blocks from a street of good restaurants. As we had just finished a tour and been in another hotel the previous evening (prior to moving on the following day) we arrived at the hotel very early and they had no problems checking us in (although the room wasn’t ready) and storing our bags for us so that we could enjoy our time in Vancouver.

We stayed one night at this hotel. It was the best location in Vancouver and was quiet considering it is right downtown. The front desk staff were cheerful and efficient. The room was a bit dated, but clean. Wifi was slow! The queen bed was OK but bring a flat pillow if you don’t like the big fluffy pillows! Great if you are staying for a bit a need a kitchen. This is a great hotel if location is most important, however not the best if you want something a bit more modern and fancy! The only complaint I have was when we were were charged $1 to store a bag with them, since we checked out early. It wasn’t the dollar that was the problem, but we had just came from the front desk and paid $200 for our room! It was a bit offensive when the bag person asked if we have checked out and then charged us! I was a bit shocked/offended to be no longer feel like a guest there after checking out early (we weren’t charged when we stored the bag at check-in). They did waive the charge when I acted surprised! Just a sour way to end the visit… otherwise a decent hotel!
