This hotel came our way through a promotion…so I did not think it was going to be this quality. the room was so comfortable that we were thinking of purchasing a property that size for our family of 4 as our city pad.
The kitchen was small, efficient, well stocked, and thoughtfully designed. Beds were very comfortable. Amenities were all as you would expect from a large chain like Marriott.
The best part is tbe breakfast…. it really was the best self served buffet I have ever seen. You felt you were in a full service restaurant. Great setup.
We were very impressed with our stay at the Residence Inn. Came into town for a girls weekend and needed a little kitchenette to accommodate a strict diet. This worked perfectly and was within walking distance of many amenities. We had a great stay
The Residence Inn Vancouver is a conveniently good located hotel in Vancouver downtown. Mike at the Front Desk is the Star of the hotel. Rooms are very spacious and well decorated, the pillows are amazing. Book this hotel.
We stayed here for two nights, a Friday and Saturday, we had a nice king studio room, which had a small kitchen area and full size fridge. The room was nice and big and updated. You need your key to access any floors from the elevator so is secure. There is a nice breakfast included, which I only discovered on the last day but it looked good. It’s only a few blocks from Robson, so a short walk to shopping.
the front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. The other staff through the hotel can not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Our room was very clean and up to date in every aspect. The bathrooms have plenty of counter and storage space and are spacious. T|he business centre is well equipped. The hotel is in a great location as we were able to walk to all the attractions downtown and were only minutes from the water to walk or run for miles. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. Easy access to parking garage, free breakfast, clean and modern rooms. We stayed here for a girls trip and really enjoyed our stay. We really liked the modern décor and there’s a kitchen available as well which would be great for families or anyone that’s looking for something more than just a normal room. The rooms are very sizeable and categorized as studios. We booked 2 rooms at the Landis next door and 1 at residence since Landis was full so we were able to see both hotel room and I have to stay I’m glad I got to stay at the much more modern Residence Inn! The breakfast buffet was standard continental breakfast with hot items – scrambled eggs, sausage etc. As far as location, it is a bit further from the Granville St. action, but still within walking distance. Overall I was really impressed with the modern décor and cleanliness of this hotel! Very impressive for a midrange!
We stayed a few nights over the spring break. We found the rooms very dark with low ceilings and not quite matching the quality highlighted on the website. That being said the breakfast was fantastic!
We were delighted with our choice of hotel in Vancouver. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is wonderfully furnished with a fully stocked kitchenette. The bathroom amenities are high quality, and the beds very comfortable. The location is fabulous, walking distance to all of the places we wanted to go. An extra bonus is the on off bus stops are in front of the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional- we were even able to star our day of touring with hot coffee in to-go cups.
The bath room is very clean. The room is spacious. The kitchen has a fridge and a dishwasher. We never cooked here, but you can see that the the kitchen is going to be very functional. The unit is recently renovated. Count the kitchen table, you have three desk to work on.
This former Cascadia Hotel has been taken over by the Marriott Residence Inn (and seems to be in the process of being updated – there are some blemishes that could use attention) – as mentioned in another review the ceilings can feel a bit low – but no worse then many hotels in Asia. The rooms are clean and the pool is exceptionally clean with a low chlorine odor. The jacuzzi was also exceptionally well maintained with strong jets and a good temperature.
Sadly parking is an additional fee but that is easily compensated by the outstanding breakfast provided each morning – honestly don’t come at the tail end of the breakfast hours as there were some days when certain items do run short (this is a full breakfast).
Close to the bus lines and many local eateries this is a great place to stay.
Stayed with my two boys age 6 and 7. It was so convenient to have a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Was able to cook a small meal for my kids when the weather was too bad to go out for dinner. We all enjoyed our complementary breakfast. These things make it so much easier to travel when you are travelling with kids.
Spent the night waiting to board a cruise ship the next day, so didn’t really need much, but the Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown was a good choice. Clean spacious room with a kitchenette and a nice view of the city. The wife was tired from the trip in, and didn’t want to go out, so we didn’t eat at the restaurant. I did look at the menu, of the Cavino – Bistro Wine Bar as it is called, and it looked OK, but small trendy menu didn’t look appealing to me. What I did find was lots of small local restaurants within walking distance, with dine in and take-out, which provided us with many choices. I will review the places we selected in their own reviews.
The Hotel did have a free hot breakfast which was one of the best free ones I have seen, well worth the price.
All in all a good stay, good location and reasonably priced hotel.
Spacious room with kitchenette. Breakfast included although – weekday had better choice than weekend for some reason. Hotel close to a lot of good restaurants so did not eat in. Only there for two nights and found to to be a good location as a base.
I usually stay at the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver when I visit for business, but this was a little bit closer to my destination and a wee bit cheaper to boot – although both had pet policies that would allow my two wee dogs to come with on this occasion. We checked in smoothly without mishap, got up to our room and took the doggies for a spin in downtown Van… Then we came back for pickup room service dinner because too lazy to venture outside our four walls – was yummy and we enjoyed – doggies included!
Enjoyed our complimentary breakfast in the morning after taking dogs out for ablutions…. It was an entirely positive experience despite many opportunities for it to be less than so….
Residence Inn is very convenient & centrally located and very quite area and in downtown area. Good restaurants nearby. Good and sumptuous breakfast. Rooms are neat clean. The rooms are with full kitchenette all gadgets with tea coffee, fridge, microwave, They have indoor warm pool, equipped Gym and Launderette area, good for longer stays. 7 eleven is just across the road. hop on hop off bus stops at the hotel and best way to see Vancouver city. only thing is beds are smaller.
Our “skyline queen studio suite” was a perfect place to adjust to the 9-hour difference in time zones arriving from Europe. Hotel is quiet, clean, good bathroom, good bed, good breakfast buffet (though a bit hectic at “rush hour”). Location is convenient to explore Vancouver, easy to get around by bus, and the little ferry across to Granville Island is just at the foot of the hill.
We disembarked our cruise in Vancouver. We got to the hotel around 11:00 a.m. and were immediately given a room. Won, the front desk person, was extremely helpful to us — recommending tours, restaurants, shops, etc. The hop on hop off bus stops directly in front of the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, the internet was very fast and usable for more than one person. Have a kitchen was really nice considering we went to the Granville Market and bought lots of goodies. The breakfast was very good, waffles, omlettes, bacon, potatoes, danish, yogurt, fresh fruit — and much more. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in Vancouver.
I can’t get over how clean our room was! The bathroom gleamed. I loved having a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator. The beds were so comfy and the sheets so clean. The TV is in a terrible spot, but who watches a lot of TV in a hotel? Will definitely stay here again.
