We loved our stay at the Pan Pacific…comfy bed, clean rooms and hallways, staff was just great…welcoming and warm. In my opinion, you would not go wrong staying here! We did not have a a meal but have eaten at 5 Sails before and really enjoyed it!
Best spot in Vancouver to stay and attend a business retreat event. I did not expect to feel a sense of relaxation during our 2 day business retreat. The location right on the water and 180 view from the Coal Harbour room provided a true sense of calm and being away from it all. We did not have to travel out of town to get an out of the office retreat experience
Great location downtown. You can walk to all the attractions. Wonderful view of downtown as well as the harbour and Lions Gate Bridge from our room. Very comfortable beds although the pillows deflated and could have been better. Only thing that concerned us was the elevator was not secured. Considering it is above the convention centre anyone can be going around the hotels floors. For a top hotel this surprised us. Parking is very pricey ($42 for 24 hrs) so be prepared.
Pan Pacific and Spa Utopia’s “Rest, Recharge and Reconnect” package for two was a wonderful option for a staycation. It offers you all the benefits of a short trip away with lots of perks. The food is also amazing.
Excellent reception and check in…first time I have ever received an upgrade!! Room was great, location brilliant and view spectacular.
View from room. Size of room was just right. Bed was perfect for a good sleep and it was quiet
Beds were really comfortable. Great location for short walk into town for shopping. Harbour front views are nice too.
We found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The ocean views from our room were spectacular. We enjoyed the gym, hot tub and had a wonderful dinner at Five Sails. This was an amazing getaway!
Incredible views from the room. The staff were amazing. Right from the moment you arrive the valet set the expectations high with friendly, helpful service. The room was clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, the view was nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent, but pricey.
Great view over harbour. Quiet rooms and very comfy beds. Location perfect for strolling along Seawall, going for coffees and shopping.
I had to spend a day in Vancouver before my flight back to Toronto. I dropped off a colleague at the airport and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get a hotel room for the night at 9:30 am. I phoned the reservation agent and booked a room at the Pan Pacific with no guaranty a room would be available. The front desk agent was able to get me a room right away, which made my day.
The room was comfortable and spacious. I had a nice city view and a partial view of the harbour. I was on the 8th floor right by the pool and hot tub, but I didn’t hear any noise from that area during my stay.
The room was spacious and the amenities were great. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep.
The location is great to take a walk along the harbour front or to stroll into Gastown.
We visited the Pan Pacific from November 26 – Dec 1, 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and its incredible view of the harbor and surrounding mountains. We also spent time on private tours with Erick from Guia Vancouver Tours for two days booked through Viator. First though, the Pan Pacific was an incredible stay. The view from our suite (we were on the 20th floor) was spectacular and the service from all staff was very attentive and professional. Turn down service in the evening was also appreciated. We also used the hot tub and heated outdoor pool at the hotel and appreciated it after a long day travelling. This was our first time staying at the Pan Pacific and if given the choice and budget again we would be delighted to go back. The Hotel is beautiful, clean and very welcoming to be in.
Second, the tours with Erick as our tour guide were fantastic. The first tour was Viator’s private “tour of the city” for 6 hours of which the highlight was a visit to the Capilano bridge and skywalk. Great experience even though it rained slightly. Erick has incredible knowledge of Vancouver and the surrounding area and has a very professional and warm manner in which he delivers the tour. We were very pleased to book a second day tour with him to go into the countryside outside of Vancouver and visit some wineries in the Fraser valley. We hope to come back next year and spend a day on Whistler and Victoria.
Canada is expensive to travel in but well worth it if you can manage it due to its uniqueness and incredible topography.
Safe travels everyone until the next time!
Very nice mountain view and I think the price of the hotel is mainly for the view and location. There’s no free parking and parking is at least $42 per night. wifi is not free and after I paid extra for about $5 per day, I noticed that internet speed is terribly slow and it’s definitely not high speed internet, download speed is about 6 Mbps (Really? Are u kidding me?) This’s considered one of the most luxurious hotels in Vancouver and it does not provide free wifi plus internet sped is totally unacceptable. My download speed at home is more than 170 Mbps so the internet speed of this hotel is not acceptable to me. As for the drinks in the mini fridge, the price list is inside the drawer and I think they should have put the price list on the table or desk so that people can see they’re not free, instead of hiding the price list inside one of drawers. All items inside the mini fridge are over-priced.
Firstly this hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Vancouver, being right in Canada Place. The rooms are an ok size, but dont come with free wifi. Whats frustrating is you go down to the conference center (first two levels of the hotel) and theres free wifi, but for the cost of this hotel I expect it in the rooms for free aswell.
The rooms were clean, but the duvets come separated with two sheets so by the time you wake up in the morning at last one of the sheets is at the bottom of the bed. The beds are huge which is a big plus at the hotel.
The showers in the room arent overly powerful, but were clean.
If this hotel was cheaper it would get a better review
impressed with my recent stay and event held at the Pan Pacific hotel. I travel often to Vancouver and I have to say this was the best experience so far. The entire staff is very helpful and gracious. they were eager to help and made themselves available to service any last minute needs. The guestrooms were very spacious and amenities were from top brand L’Occitane. I also had a fantastic view of the waterfront. there was so many nice touches to mention a few the turn down service cards/chocolate and the elevator mats change daily allowing you to easily keep track of the day. I had the opportunity to experience the 23rd executive lounge and the offers are superb and had the most lovely staff. The food and beverage side, all the outlets were very great especially the dinner from the banquet kitchen it was exquisite. I definitely will recommend and return for both business and leisure.
We stayed here in july , as always I’m late doing my reports but this hotel can not be left off , any one staying in Vancouver should choose this hotel room was 1st class plus . Dining breakfast again excellent and service was 1st class , In addition to the hotel restaurant was I believe a independent one which served superb food with 1st class service from the owners. The owners were front of house talking to customers true professional, Location was superb overall I have to give this place 10 out of 10. Thank you Holland & America for putting us in this hotel and thank you for allowing us to take this holiday in 2016 after we cancelled in 2015 due to wife’s ill health.
We stayed here on the evenings of 13 and 14 October and were given the Amber Suite on the 21st floor. We were instructed to check in at the Pacific Club Lounge and were greeted by Joel who was most welcoming and courteous explaining fully all aspects and amenities of our stay. We also found Aileen, who was on desk duty at breakfast, to be very pleasant. The room itself was huge, clean and well appointed. In our opinion the main bathroom was as good as it gets, with Italian marble finishing, jetted tub, free standing steam shower, twin sinks on the countertop, lovely toiletries, etc. Our rate included, self serve buffet breakfast (within The Pacific Club Lounge). Also provided in the lounge were hors d’oeuvres which included items such as a sushi roll selection, smoked salmon, hot savoury pastries, etc. Really delicious. The honour bar provided a great choice, and included one complimentary drink each.
Exercise care though when vacating this room, as being close to 1500 sq. ft. in area you are rather likely to fail to gather all of your personal belongings!
Stayed for 3 nights pre cruise. Location was ideal, loved watching the sea planes and cruise ships from the room window. Room was comfortable especially the bed.
Easy to get about from this central location and easy for transfer to cruise ship.
Highly recommend if cruising out of Vancouver.
Never staying anywhere else after experiencing the Pan Pacific Vancouver, I will return every time. Highly recommend! The pool was absolutely amazing and open until midnight, clean comfortable rooms, great quality white robes, plenty of pillows, comfy bed, great service.
My wife and I celebrated our 10th year anniversary on July 15th at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The staff were very friendly and professional. We were upgraded to a very nice suite facing the mountains. The pool and spa was very relaxing. We had a brunch buffet in the hotel that was one of the best we’ve ever had. All the food was fresh and tasty. Again, the staff were wonderful. The location is one of the best Vancouver has to offer. We will definitely be back for another stay. I highly recommend The Pan Pacific Hotel.
My wife and I stayed for about 1 week (in 2 separate visits) either side of a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer out of Vancouver. Out of our window on an upper level floor we could see the outdoor pool and spa on the lower roof of the hotel at Level 8, as well as Vancouver Harbour including the Harbour Air seaplanes (landing and taking off frequently throughout each day) and a cruise ship every second day that seemed so close you could touch it. The service and accommodation were of very high standard and the location of the hotel was 1A. Concierge and luggage handling were hassle free.
I enjoyed my stay at the Pan Pacific hotel in Vancouver. The hotel is beautiful, very luxurious and in a perfect location. It is especially convenient for cruise passengers as it is located directly across from the port. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The views of the bay and mountains is spectacular.
WOW!!! The Pan Pacific is a massive hotel that is located literally next to where all the cruise ships depart from Vancouver. That officially makes it one of the most conveniently located hotels in Vancouver if you are on vacation. Beyond that, it’s insanely nice. We booked a room with a harbor view, and it did not disappoint! The view was absolutely amazing. It was completely unobstructed, and we were able to see the cruise ships coming in and out of the harbor, North Vancouver and the mountains, Stanley Park, the convention center and many of the other skyscrapers near the water. The room itself was also very nice. The bed was plush, and very comfortable. The bathroom had beautiful high-end finishes, and included a separate water closet, which was quite convenient.
Speaking of convenience, there are lots of great restaurants near the hotel’s location at Canada Place, including Miku Sushi and Cactus Club Cafe, as well as tour buses that take you around the city. Everything is within walking distance or a short cab ride away. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Vancouver, and I would absolutely stay at the Pan Pacific again on my next visit.
