Excellent value in a perfect Yaletown location with a most helpful and pleasant staff. Our room faced a courtyard and we had no street noise and plenty of light and fresh air. The room was comfortable and pretty spacious.

I chose Opus for my short two night (in transit) stopover in Vancouver after reading the reviews available . I wasn’t disappointed. It was very easy to catch the SkyTrain from the airport to Yaletown station, and then to find Opus (which is almost directly across the road). The glass of bubbles on check in was very well received.

Everyone was very helpful (reception staff and concierge staff), and the turn down service was also a lovely touch. The room was a good size and had everything you could need. The inroom ipad was helpful, and having wifi included was also appreciated (although I think it really is a must as a standard inclusion these days, and I object to having to pay extra for it in any hotel). Good choice of TV channels and good space for work also provided. Bathroom was also clean and tidy and a good size.

Also very easy to get downtown and to the waterfront, again using the Skytrain.

Not cheap, but from what I can tell everywhere in downtown Vancouver is quite expensive.

I can highly recommend the Opus and would stay here again if I return to Vancouver.

Wont stay anywhere else. Small enough that everyone knows your name. Beautiful rooms with great features. Fantastic deep tub, tremendous service and great vibe. Continental breakfast was yummy and inviting in lobby hotel and happy hour was a great break after a long day of sight seeing and conferences. To top it off, yaletown has every service you would need and great restaurants and bars all within steps.

Located in the hearth of Vancouver’s night entertainment zone. Also excellent choice if you are using local train to/from the airport. Hotel location attracts younger crowd, however the design and furniture would please older folks mainly. Rooms are decent size, bed and pillow are excellent, but the noise from the street might disrupt some people from sleeping. Breakfast is standard hotel buffet, clean and tasty, but nothing special. It’s definitely worth walking a few blocks and get the best breakfast in town at Hotel BLU Vancouver.

As I used to live in Yaletown, I would always walk by the hotel and always wondered what it was like staying in one of their rooms. Now that I no longer live in Vancouver, I had the opportunity to stay and man was I happy I stayed here.

First off, the hotel lobby is very chic and the staff are really friendly. When we checked in, we were given a complimentary sparkling rose. The times where we needed to get somewhere quickly downtown, the car service was a nice touch and really helped to get somewhere in a hurry (we made sure to tip really well).

Now the room, super chic and modern. It was very clean and I definitely made myself feel like I was at home and more so. The bed was comfortable compared to the other hotel we had stayed at the night before.

The hotel bar is small but again very chic and modern. Bartender was a bit of a mess and she was a bit unprofessional, sitting down at the bar when she wasn’t doing anything, but I can look past that because the cocktail was good.

Would definitely stay here again!

Great location in the heart of Yaletown. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were beautiful. Bright pops of colors, fireplace, heated bathroom floors… Tons of great options for food within walking distance. Beautiful places to stroll, run or take a bike ride. Provided the right mix of work & play while in town for business.

Was here for business, as the Yaletown location is very convenient – to the office, to train line, to formal and informal dining. Upon check-in, was welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine, which was appreciated after a long day. My room was upgraded, which was a real treat! Will definitely come back again.

Booked a roomed online with an agent and then needed to update details with hotel. I was extremely impressed by personal attention shown by Nicholas to my email queries and follow up.

Hotel is well located in Yaletown on the airport train line. Very efficient way to get to and from airport.
Checkin smooth, I really like the pre-Checkin email which allows you to notify hotel of your details and Checkin time.

Room very comfortable, great king size bed. Rollaway provided for our daughter. Bathroom stylish with big bath and separate shower.
Coffee shop makes great coffee and breakfast was also excellent

Great location steps away from beautiful Seawalk. Staff is courteous, efficient and always available. Returning guests are remembered, which is a nice touch.
We stayed in the Signature Suite as during our last visit: the room is absolutely beautiful by design, amenities and location with a great view. The bar area, restaurant and adjacent coffee shop are extremely convenient and with great service.
Overall fantastic boutique hotel.

I just loved this place. I arrived from the Northern Territories in need of some R&R and they bent over backwards to give me a room with a bathtub! Sparkling wine on arrival, coupled with super-helpful attitude. I ate in the restaurant which was lovely, brilliant bar man though I think the manager was there on his laptop which was weird? Great hotel.

Stayed four nights on a work trip on a recommendation from a friend. Arrived to a bottle of wine and chocolates in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly, location was fantastic with plenty of great restaurants in the area and within walking distance to plenty.

Great shower, friendly housekeepers, and amazing restaurant for breakfast every morning (love Courtney)! Great location with a simple walk to some of the city’s nicest restaurants and bars. Front desk folks were helpful, but less than effusive. Wrinkles and air pockets in hotel room wall to wall carpeting were not up to luxury standards.

Very comfortable and spacious room which included a lounge and kitchenette. TV’s in both lounge and bedroom was great. There was an iPad in the room but as we had our own we did not make use of it, although I imagine that guests would see this as added value. Hotel was well located close to the waterfront and within easy walking distance from the city centre. Staff were courteous and helpful. We used the coffee shop regularly and also dined at La Pentola. We were given access to the fitness centre after checkout so that we could freshen up before tackling the long haul (15hrs) home and this was very welcome.

Stayed here for the Vancover dine out. The staff were genuinely friendly welcoming and very helpful. There were some nice touches such as an offer of a glass of wine as we checked ; a little something extra for my wife’s birthday ; and a good continental breakfast included. . The deluxe king room was large , very clean and sumptuous. Also the meal in the restaurant was excellent.

I seriously love this hotel. Arrived tonight to a bottle of wine and treats as a customer appreciation. Last time they randomly upgraded me so I wouldn’t be bothered by street noise on a Friday night. Staff are great, rooms are uber cool and prime location across from skytrain. This is THE place to stay in Van.

Due to a MINOR setback with our first room, emphasis on “minor”, we received a complimentary upgrade to the “Executive Suite”. Our previous room was outstanding but the new room was the epitome of FABU-losity! Walking into our newfound abode, this place seriously needed its own area code! – Customer service at The Opus is unparalleled! – Separate living room within suite – Check! – Floor to ceiling windows throughout the suite – Check! – Heated “washroom” floors – Check! – Fully stocked mini-bar – Check! – 2 Mounted Flat Screens – Check! – Complimentary chauffeur assistance by way of a Jaguar XF (locally) to guest of the hotel.

Stylish and quiet little hotel in a great part of town (Yaletown) with loads of bars and great restaurants literally seconds away. Calm ambience and nice reasonably sized rooms. Everything is pretty new and well specc’d, comfy beds, great bathrooms (I stayed twice, in different rooms, both were equally good) and powerful showers. Iron and board in the rooms, as well as effective hairdryers. Friendly and helpful staff. Valet parking with easy access to the car if you need it (but not cheap).

The staff was friendly and helpful; our dog loved the doggy blanket and food that they left for him. The staff left a note and chocolate brownies as a treat for my husbands birthday. They changed our room to a courtyard room when they heard that we had a dog- very good service

I stayed at the Opus Vancouver Hotel while filming a commercial in Vancouver and based on the number of puffy black jackets and pretentious satchels it was pretty clear that the Opus heavily caters to film crews. 😉

The staff is nearly a parody of Canadian niceness in their attention and responsiveness. I have an admittedly ridiculously trivial pet peeve in nice hotels which is the annoyance of having to open the little boxes that soaps come in. When signing up for Wifi after check-in they had a question on how they could improve their service: I acknowledged how trivial and small it is ‘but that for some reason nearly every upscale Hotel imprisons their hand soaps in small frustratingly sealed boxes.’ After going out for lunch I returned to my hotel room to find a hand written letter apologising for my less than perfect first impression and two full sized bars of ivory soap (sans box).

It should be noted as a huge positive to Opus Hotel that they do have Shampoo dispensers in the shower. Another annoyance at many hotels is getting in the shower and then realising that the shampoos are in some sort of fancy display across the bathroom. Kudos for putting the shampoo where it belongs.

At check in and every day the Opus provides a nice little candy treat. At check-in it was chips and chocolate pretzels. My second night it was a berry Ring Pop, on my third night it was an airhead and my last night a Fun Stick. I have to admit, I could get used to taking a nice long hot bath while sucking on a Berry Blast Ring Pop–truly it was the lap of luxury.

On the bed front, the mattresses were good but the pillow was too full and thick for my tastes. I’m sure if I had made a note of this at any time the staff would have left 8 different pillows in my room before sunset but it wasn’t bad enough to bother them.

The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of a number of very good restaurants. It’s maybe not the best location for access to the convention center but for this trip it was central and perfect. I would definitely recommend the Opus for any type of trip.

I have stayed at the Opus a few times when I have been in Vancouver for work. The staff are great and very friendly. I like that I get an email the day before I check in and I can request if I want to be on a higher floor or away form the elevators. The hotel is unique and every room I have stayed in has looked different. My only negative would be that I could hear my neighbours alarm clock every morning and they were up about an hour before I needed to be up.

We were visiting Vancouver on Business. We stayed at The Opus on our vendor’s recommendation. I’m so glad we did! Great rooms, great location, and a very stylish hotel overall. I will definitely be back!

Very pleased by the choice that was largely driven by the comments. Nice room tastefully decorated. Nice bed. Nice bathroom. Trendy hotel. Nice location. Wifi is very good. Did not have a chance to try the breakfast. Very friendly staff at the reception. Overall, great. 5 stars. Congrats!

If you want a hotel that prioritises service, look no further than Opus. For the entirety of the stay, guests are given an iPad to use in and out of the hotel, complimentary luxury car rides to anywhere downtown, and free rental of hotel-owned mountain bikes.

It’s not just people that are treated well, either. For an extra $30, pets are welcome to stay and enjoy a bit of pampering.

Located in the chic Yaletown district, swanky restaurants, parks and waterfront walkways are all within easy each of the hotel. In terms of shopping, there’s plenty of interesting boutique stores nearby to suit everyone from serious buyers to window shoppers.

The design in Opus is bold — bedroom walls are painted in bright colours with the décor made to match. While it might not suit everyone’s taste, it certainly makes an impact.

I hadn’t stayed at the Opus in over 5 years, but when I checked in, the Concierge came over to welcome me back. Now, here’s the thing…my surname has changes since I last stayed at The Opus, so there’s no way he could have recognised my name from the records. He truly did remember me! Top notch service all around, and the location couldn’t be better!

My only complaint is construction near by starting at 7 am, otherwise the granola was the best I have ever had. The complimentary bikes and proximity to yoga, running, biking trails and great food and shopping were perfect. The staff were polite and helpful and the beds were quite comfortable with black out shades that worked like a charm. Thanks Opus, keep up the great work!
