Extremely clean, sleek, fun hotel with easy access to all the downtown Vancouver sights. We would definitely like to stay here again. The beds slept well and the rooms were quiet. More modern than we would normally choose with both grandparents and kids in tow, but everyone really liked it.

I was upset with no room service or towels at the pool or in room movies… but it is gorgeous with loft rooms that are awesome. The pool is just over 4 ft so it is ok, and the breakfast is good with some options but would have preferred to have room service as an option. I loved the terrance and loft, that was a really nice touch.
In general very nice hotel. It’s clean, staff was friendly, location was great, breakfast was really good and the facilities were good. Where we had an issues was that there was a hidden fee in the cost of the room that we weren’t told about. We were told a room rate of $160/night and when I got the invoice the total was actually $250/night. In addition, no one mentioned that there wasn’t a shower in the room.
We stayed at the hotel Blu recently with another couple who were travelling thru Vancouver.
The hotel has a very trendy lobby area and is part of a resident complex. It has a lot of amenities with a pool, and exercise, spa facilities. The rooms are quiet and comfortable with more or less room depending if you have a balcony. The kingsize bed was much softer than we prefer and did not have individual coils, so movement was always felt by the other person. We were surprised at this in such a luxurious spot. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room, but no cups suitable for tea (although Tea bags were provided). There were no other utensils or dishes that one could use with the microwave, The Nespresso coffee machine was a very nice touch with a reasonable seletion of coffees. We did not partake of the breakfast as we felt that the price was too high for what was on offer. A morning newspaper would have been a nice touch…rather than trying to read one copy in the lobby.
However, the ambiance was lovely and the shower in the room was unique and a real treat. We enjoyed our stay immensely in these pleasant surroundings. One addition – our friends were travelling with a small dog and the hotel is pet friendly and the staff were most accommodating about helping out with looking after the dog. In fact, they went out of their way to be helpful.
We would definitely consider a return visit to Hotel Blu.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The first thing that we really liked was the fact that you didn’t have to valet the car. Since this is also a residence tower they had a parking that was accessible with you room card. I know it’s not a big deal but it’s nice to be able to go in and out without having to wait. Although for anyone interested, the valet is included in the parking fee.
Rooms were really clean, nice size. They laid out slippers and a robe, they also had a tablet you could take out with you which we thought was a nice touch. They also had a nespresso machine, tea kettle, a mini fridge and a microwave.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, the pump to the conditioner wasn’t working and within an hour it was fixed.
Location was great, it’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants and attractions, it’s only a block away from the two stadiums.
I’m looking forward to visiting Vancouver again and I would definitely go back to this hotel.
This hotel has everything I needed. Free wifi (so fast, I never experienced frustration), washer/dryer, in-door pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, bicycle, baggage storage, umbrella, in-room safe, nespresso machine, Samsung tablet, etc,.
I will definitely return next time I come to Vancouver.
Very nice, brand new hotel, located a short walk from BC Place and Rogers Arena. Ample restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. The beds and pillows are first quality and the room has all the amenities you need. Very clean, modern facility with excellent and friendly staff
Hotel BLU is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, making it easy to walk to a big variety of places. The staff is very welcoming and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We did not use the facilities, but it does have an indoor pool and gym area.
