Solid value with a great location. This was a work trip, with everything working out quite well. The location was great, with the rooms being clean and quiet, which is perfect for me. The only flaw was the elevator which was very slow.
We were very satisfied with the Hampton Inn Downtown Vancouver. Courteous staff, efficient, and seems well-managed. The room was clean and I especially liked the fact that the duvet covers are freshly washed for each guest’s stay! Spotless bed and VERY comfortable mattress and pillows. The hotel felt luxurious without paying exorbitant prices. Breakfast is included in the stay and was excellent. The breakfast room is decorated in a fun updated style. The grandmother who works in the breakfast area was very nice and made us feel taken care of. No complaints with the complimentary internet. Umbrellas were made available for loan, very helpful considering it rained the entire time we were in Vancouver. The parking garage felt safe (additional charge for use of parking garage). Restaurants within short walking distance made it easy to get a meal.
Great place and staff, good location and as a result a bit expensive. Clean hotel, doors don’t slam if you are a light sleeper and quiet overall if there is not game in town. Amenities are good with lots of restaurants to choose from. Easy access to everywhere.
Great location right next to BC Place Stadium. Close to lots of restaurants and points of interests. The staff is friendly. My room was very clean and comfortable. I will be sure to book here on my next visit to downtown Vancouver.
Awesome service, clean rooms, best breakfast bar I have experienced. Within walking distance to BC place, Rogers Arena for all sporting events, concerts. Shopping is just a few blocks away and plenty of choices for meals close by.
Very quiet, breakfast was better than expected and the view is awesome. Everything you need within walking distance the staff is very friendly. Movies, museums and arts all to keep you busy while out of the room.
The Hampton Inn & Suites in Vancouver BC was the perfect place for our family. Primarily it accommodated all 5 of us in one room. No need to have to book two separate rooms not knowing if they would be close by to each other. Other amenities that are important to our family is: Cleanliness, breakfast included (beautiful space and nice variety of food), location to tourist sites/shopping/restaurants and a workout space. All were accommodated by this hotel!
Friendly welcome, booked a one bedroom suite with kitchen which made the place feel like a home away from home. Bed was great, clean room, nice staff, has a good gym on the top floor too! Easy walk to shopping and lots of places to eat/drink nearby.
Good location, helpful staff. Very clean rooms and facilities. Provided Pack n’ Play crib no charge upon request for our baby. Easy access to restaurants and breakfast included. Checking in and out with baby was easy.
Great location that can walk to shops, restaurants. Fun place to stay. Nearby Gas Town is more preferred and has more character. Yale Town has a long row of restaurants, kind of cool. If you are here after Thanksgiving, make sure visiting Christmas Market. It’s a treat. Suspension Bridge is another attraction and the same as the Granville Public Market nearby.
The room is small to average (and not “updated” like several reviews stated). There’s a fridge, extra sink, and microwave. The complimentary breakfast is average. But there three things that set this hotel apart:
1. The view from the 16th floor (fitness center/spa/laundry level). You can go out on the balcony and see nearly a 360° view of the city. Sit in the hot tub at night and see the city lights. Play table tennis. Take a sauna. Bring your coffee and breakfast up to enjoy from a bird’s-eye view.
2. The hotel offers a free shuttle 7am-7pm to anywhere in downtown (one way). All you have to do is schedule your trip with the driver. We took the shuttle to Canada Center where we caught the free bus ride to Capilano Bridge Park.
3. We asked for a pizza delivery recommendation, and someone from the front desk brought up a handful of brochures from nearby places.
This hotel was awesome. Great room with a view and very clean. Free breakfast that wasn’t bad. Denesy at the front desk was super helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. This is probably one of the nicest Hampton inns in North America.
Great comfortable beds and pillows. Quality expected at a Hampton. Rooms are nice and large, with many having views of BC place. Easy location to walk to lots of nearby restaurants and cafes. Reasonable price point compared to other downtown hotels.
For persons attending BC Place for an event this hotel is ideally located. For the average person though it is too expensive. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a well thought out layout and a staff who were more than pleased to assist.
I have stayed at this property several times over the last four years while I visited my son, who attends a local university. The staff is always professional and friendly, the rooms are always comfortable and very clean, and I feel safe traveling alone due to the underground parking and the excellent security at the hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance, or I can order room service from the on-site restaurant. This is my favorite place to stay in Vancouver. Thank you for a consistently great experience! Well done!
We stayed at this hotel for our 4 night/5 days in Vancouver.
Our family of 4, including 2 teenage daughters, stayed in a King Suite. The room was perfect for us. The girls slept on the pull out. They said it wasn’t that comfortable, but really, what pullout is?
We each had issues with our blankets/bed covers. They were very slippery and came over to one side leaving the other person without covers. This happened every night resulting in tug of wars!
The room was clean and well taken care of by housekeeping while we stayed here. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and professional.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast served on the third floor. My husband enjoyed breakfast everyday. We had bought bagels so we could sleep past 10 and enjoy our breakfast in our room.
The breakfast was very generous with waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, fruit etc..
Our suite was equipped with everything. Medium sized fridge with freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, pots, utensils, dishes, even a dishwasher!!!!
Nice counter bar with stools for eating.
Two televisions. King-sized bed.
I found the bed to be just ok. A little hard and the pillows were flat. Again the blanket slipped right off every night.
Wi-Fi was complimentary. Good signal too.
Previous contributors commented on the elevator being slow. We found this true as well but not as bad as we thought. If you are not in a hurry, it’s fine. We never had to wait over 5 minutes.
Parking garage is convenient. It costs you about $30 per night. I guess that’s fair for this area. Your car is safe in their clean and secure garage.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water is always available in the lobby. There is a nice cafe next door that serves paninis, pizza, soups, coffees etc.. The hotel also has room service due to a nice restaurant next door. The food was very good and served quickly and hot. They have a good menu too. You can charge this to your room.
So, convenient, lots of food options and clean. Oh and there are lots of food options just around the corner too.
Just wish the beds and blankets were better quality and more comfortable.
My family flew in late for a cruise the next day. Room was clean and the floor we were on was quiet. The staff was helpful in finding a good place for dinner. The shuttle to the ship was a 10 ride so we had a very easy departure the next day(the tip and curbside service was well worth it).
After a busy day of meetings, and expecting our room to be made after 7 hours, we returned to find our room still not made, however the garbage was removed.
I found this a bizzare cleaning method so I phoned the front desk only to be shocked by the behaviour and reply i received which was “what do you want”, I informed the rude man I just wanted clean towels since we are in the room for the rest of the evening. However, with no apology the man continued to be inpolite so I once again stated, I would like some new towels since we did not have our room made up the previous day.
We then called back and asked for the manager, which was Michelle Connors. This Angel turned our whole day around. After receiving, such bad service and vowing not to return again to this hotel, (we have stayed here before), Michelle apologized on the behalf of the staff and understood that mistakes were made.
Michelle not only rectified the situation but stated that others would not be confused by the cleaning staff. She not only made us feel at ease with the service Hilton provides, but takes into consideration future guests.
I cannot say enough about Michelle, she really went out of her way to apologise and provided excellent customer service that is STILL true of the Hilton chain of Hotels.
We had just got off a cruise and arrived around 10 AM,they had no rooms available but offered to store safely our luggage and iPads. We were told to return at 2 o’clock, upon arriving at 1:45 we were given a room fight next to the elevator but that was not going to work.So I returned to the desk right away and after some thought the desk gave me a suite that was ready. That was great because my wife and I were exhausted from a 2 hour walk around downtown Vancouver, the Hampton Inn also gave us a wheelchair to use during our stay as my wife was having back problems. As always, the staff at Hampton Inn came through in flying colors. They are very good to us wherever we stay with them. They are good at what they do.
