No, I didn’t stay here but I will now due to the kindness of Jeff, one of the doormen at this hotel. I had come to see the Japan Unlayered show featured in this hotel and unfortunately was too late to see the entire production. Jeff was very kind enough to find me an old program and walk me through what was still on view and what was now closed. Now I must say that I look a bit like a rubbydub…long beard, a bit unpolished. However, Jeff treated me like I was a guest in his hotel. Fantastic. I felt important as I was well cared for. You don’t forget kindness like that. Thank you Jeff…because of you, I will book a stay cation weekend at this hotel in the spring!

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is consistently awesome and I can’t say enough about my recent stay in Downtown Vancouver.
Our Fairmont Gold Corner Suite had a view from Stanley Park all across the North Shore and had it not been for the rain clouds the mountains would have been spectacular. The suite itself was beautiful, very well appointed and comfortable. The service from the front door all the way through was also top notch. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the raw bar, an entertaining evening listening to the live music and a massage for 2 at the spa. All just perfect. We even passed Sidney Crosby in the lobby…. yay me!
I have been lucky to call Vancouver home all my life and this hotel stay truly reminded me of what a spectacular place it really is. Thank you again Fairmont !

Right now I am sitting in their private signature(?) lounge looking over the harbour as I sip a cup of tea.

When booking our trip to Vancouver, this hotel was originally booked out. However I was able to book a signature room best ocean view on the American Express platinum travel website.
I’m so glad we did!

This place is not only stylish, but incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a newer hotel I figured the furnishings would be trendy and new, and they did not disappoint. The view from our room looks out over the harbour/ocean and the mountains beyond.

The service here is exceptional. They treat everyone like their favourite family member.
When we first arrived Patricia (concierge) came to our room with tea and hot towels and let us know about the private lounge for our floors. They serve a variety of food and beverages here throughout the day. If you wanted you wouldn’t have to eat out.

They will recommend and book restaurants, and have a private car (BMW) to take you to the restaurants, and will give the restaurant a card with their number to call to pick you up.

Their Japanese restaurant, although a little high on price is delicious, and the waitresses wear ball gowns which make the atmosphere much more elegant. They all look gorgeous.

We are going to be taking the complimentary bikes for a ride around Stanley Park this morning, and then take an aqua bus to the markets in the afternoon. All suggested by Patricia.

I would recommend everyone who is visiting Vancouver to stay here. Even if you can only get one night.

This hotel is modern, clean, centrally located and upmarket. Ideal for business travellers and couples, it exudes efficiency and class and features a really lovely lounge area with a stunning fireplace. The rooms are spotless and modern and you’re unlikely to find them lacking in any respect – even if you don’t end up with a harbour view room. We overlooked the offices across the road, but who cares – the kids entertained themselves trying to attract the attention of the hapless office staff… On that note, they don’t market themselves as a family hotel, and as you can imagine, they preferred the cheap apartment we stayed in earlier in the holiday. But price wise, we found it surprisingly reasonable value.

But Giovane cafe’s breakfast deserves a special mention. Food was great, but if you find a better coffee anywhere else in Canada (and I mean proper espresso coffee, not the filtered kind) then I’ll be surprised!

I was staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for my boyfriends work event (3 day). We stayed at the hotel and it was amazing…so clean, so comfortable.
The big thing that stuck out to me is how amazing the service was. I was violently ill on my last day there (which was just yesterday). Unfortunately, I also had to check out in a few hours. As I checked out the lady at the desk gave me a pass to the spa and let me lay down there until we had to leave for our flight home. The people at the spa gave me some ginger ale and crackers.
Thank you so so so much to the Fairmont for being so generous and helping me out during a time when I was so sick. I am so grateful.

Returned to the Fairmont Pacific Rim for a little getaway.

Everything is still top-notch, from the professional and friendly staff, to the hotel amenities, to the fast elevators. We rarely waited more than a minute for an elevator (I think there are six in the high-rise tower).

Just a couple of “issues”.

There was a Japan Festival at the lobby during the stay so it was really noisy in the evening at the lobby. That is unavoidable.

The second one is the “breakfast plan”. I booked a stay for the nights of January 26 and 27, checking out on the 28. When I booked to have breakfast for the “second” morning, for us that would be morning of 28th. But the option for me to pick, for the breakfast date, was 26 and 27 (corresponding to the nights of stay). I had to click on 27th because 28 was not available.

That created confusion because when we had breakfast on the date we checked out (28th) the hotel couldn’t find our breakfast plan. Apparently they thought we already had breakfast on the 27th. Finally it was sorted out.

A better computer system, especially for breakfast plan, would allow one day shift for customers to pick breakfast date. If I am staying there the night of 26 and 27, I couldn’t have breakfast on 26. So breakfast date should be the night of stay + 1 day.
Hope the hotel gets this fixed.

What a beautiful hotel! We upgraded to the Coal Harbor Corner Suite and it was definitely worth the extra money. The room was luxurious and the attention paid to us just right. The breakfast buffet was amazing. We are still talking about it. This was a special mother/daughter trip and we will have memories for a lifetime. My only suggestion would be to allow spa services for individuals under the age of 18 with parental permission. We had to visit another spa so my 16 year old could join. But the Fairmont was helpful in redirecting us.

This place has become my home away from home. Each time I leave refreshed and energized due to their fantastic service and location. The lobby’s live music is one of a kind…My room’s view to the water is breathtaking! Giovane has plenty of fun goodies and food to purchase! Staff are courteious and friendly. Keep up the good work FPM!

My family travelled to Vancouver from Calgary so that I could attend the Fan Expo Vancouver as an Exhibitor helping to sell my brothers graphic novels USNA and USNA II. As President Club members of the Fairmont hotels, and with the Pacific Rim across the street from the Convention Centre, it was a natural for us to treat ourselves to a superb property.
Our experience did not disappoint. We splurged and got two rooms on the Gold Floor. We were warmly greeted by name, by Patrick at the front door, Isabel at the front desk got us keys to get up the elevator to the Gold Floor where Tiffany Ngiau, one of the Gold Floor Concierge’s looked after us. The food selection on the Gold Floor lounge was wonderful and we were hungry due to getting up early for our flight from Calgary. Our rooms were ready ‘early’ and we got settled quickly.
As the weekend continued, Carol Chow, Tiffany and Jayleen were amazing in how well they looked after us.
My daughter loves the beds, saying it was like sleeping on a cloud.
We were there for only 2 nights but it was a memorable weekend worth repeating again and again.
Honestly, we have travelled the world and my family all agree (4 of us) that this hotel may very well be the finest hotel we have stayed in, anywhere in the whole world.

If only everyone could experience this hotel once in their lifetime! Every detail in this hotel is welcoming and luxurious beyond words. Treat yourselves it is worth every penny.

The Lobby is not only beautiful but has live music most of the day and a sushi bar that will leave you unable to eat it anywhere else ever again.

The harbour view room is a must have. Breathtaking views of the mountains. The room is so comfortable and has so many amenities you really won’t want to leave.

The 5th floor rooftop spa, another must do. You will leave there feeling like you are royalty and it’s included in the room rate. Fireplaces, hot tubs, fruit and nuts, water infused with fresh fruit, showers and steam rooms, creams and lotions – they didn’t miss a thing here.

I could write forever but words and pictures can’t do it enough justice! Save, wait for a sale do whatever it takes to get here someday and enjoy every moment.

We found the hustle and bustle of this hotel a little much .maybe not our cup of tea. The is hotel perfectly located . The hotel is surrounded by mountains and water ., we could have watched the planes come and go.

n my recent visit to vancouver, I stayed here for one night. It did not disappoint. Hurts the wallet but it was worth it. Got the city view room and the room was modern and cool. Marble washrooms and huge soaker tubs.
ery nice hotel with friendly accommodating staff. We were using a night we had purchased at a charity auction, but they were smart enough to give us a very nice room. We have purchased rooms at other hotels for charity before and usually get the worst room in the hotel as it’s a ‘freebie’ in their mind, but isn’t the idea to promote the hotel? These people understand that.
Very well appointed room with everything you can think of in amenities and equipment etc.
Only downside was the internet, internet based TV etc which was sporadic and needs the bugs resolved.
Also, restaurant is silly pricey. 39.00 for breakfast buffet? No one there but adjacent coffee shop packed. Doesn’t that tell you something?

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The location is very good as is the service. We paid for a harbour mountain view room but what we got was a view of the adjacent office block. You had to stand by the window and look to the left to see the harbour. The music in the lobby gives the hotel a good ambience and the complimentary car service is a nice touch. One highlight for us was the super comfortable bed and pillows, one of the best hotel beds I’ve come across. I found the breakfast buffet at Oru to be disappointing – limited choices and not a very ambient dining room. If you want to stay in Canada Place though this is the best option by far.

My family and I stayed here for almost a month June-July 2016 as our condo flooded and we needed a place to stay while they were renovating. From the moment we drove in until we left we were blown away by the service. It is simply second to none (and we’ve been to several 5 star hotels internationally. Room service, valet and anything we needed was always fast. The staff was warm, welcoming and great at their jobs. We had our 2 young children with us and they sent a colouring package and teddy bears for them, set up a crib and had kid sized robes for the pool. The pool, hot tub and cabana were great – we rented one for the day to watch a soccer game and had friends over. I had a massage at the spa which was wonderful. They brought us a microwave and little fridge as we fed our 3 year old breakfast and snacks in the room and warmed bottles. We absolutely loved our stay – even though one room and 2 littles for that length of time can be tricky. They even upgraded us one night without us asking when we mentioned hearing reno noise early in the morning and throughout the day which made it difficult for my 6 month old to nap. We had lattes from Giovane – their in house Italian cafe every day and I bought some great little gifts and cards in the shop. We can’t wait to go back – next time without the kids!!;)
