Everything went well. Very friendly staff. Great location within walking distance to much of downtown. Good price as well.

My girlfriend booked us a room for the night in Vancouver, going through the Expedia website she found the days inn, a brand which you’d expect to be middle of the road but providing all the essentials that you’d expect from a basic hotel, when we arrived we were directed to the parking which is about 2 blocks away, upon checking in to our room we noticed it was extremely cold! The hallways and the lobby were much warmer, so we called reception who told us the AC machine did both hot and cold, we turned it on for a few hours and after just being showered with cold air I went down to reception to tell them that the machine wasn’t working, the receptionist offered us a room change straight away which we accepted, we then went to bed and turned the AC machine on again, the same problem occurred as we’d already paid the hotel for the night we got a blanket out of the draw wrapped up warm and went to sleep, waking up the next morning wasn’t pleasant though as the entire room including bathroom were still stone cold! It wasn’t an overly cold evening at Canada at +6.5c that night. The shower also seemed to suffer from extremely low water pressure. Upon checkout the next morning telling the receptionist she was very apologetic and immediately offered to wipe the parking fee’s which was very nice of her
Stayed with my family for three days as part of our summer vacation. The hotel is getting a bit dated but it’s in a great location downtown and at a reasonable price for the area. We were first time travellers to Vancouver and received great advice and support from Bernadette at reception. She was very helpful helping us plan our days and finding good places to eat. Highly recommend.

The hotel has a great location close to the train lines and shopping streets. The room is small but Ok. The staff from the front desk is very friendly. They allow to check in at 8 am. The size from the shower is reduced.

Visiting Vancouver for a few days to spend time at the Apple Store to take workshops and enjoy the tourist attractions

I stay at the Days Inn every year for 2 weeks in January when I am working 15+ hours, so instead of driving home each night, it is a 3-minute walk to the hotel to crash for the night. I have gotten to know some of the staff, and they are very pleasant and healpful.

The room is small and conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant downstairs service is excellent as well as the food.

Very convenient to where I needed to be. Good chair for working at the desk. Motel 6-like towels. Just barely room to turn around in the shower. Some peeling wall paper and rust mark by the shower. Did like that there was no rug. Bed was decent. No place for a breakfast area, so there was none.

It was old but clean. Really close to the convention centre and the expensive hotels. Great for me by myself but not for the kids. And now I type to satisfy the word count despite the fat I have said what I want to say.

The main thing this hotel has going for it is its location – it’s a quick and pleasant walk to the convention centre. It is also, as far as I can tell, the cheapest option in this area. I like quirky older hotels, and this definitely falls into that category, but at times I felt the quirkiness was a little more than even I wanted.

Lots of other positives as well – very clean; friendly and helpful staff; a cafe in the basement run by very pleasant people for breakfast (although it doesn’t open until 7:00 am); good wifi. Moderately comfortable bed. Although this is definitely an older building the wallpaper, carpet, etc., are all in good shape and the overall tone is pleasant.

There are a couple of other breakfast options near the hotel – a 100% gluten-free place on Granville which opens at 6:00 am and has fabulous food, and an Italian place across the street which also has lots of great offerings.

The elevator was out of service for the duration of my stay (three days) which wasn’t a big deal for me but I expect would have been inconvenient for anyone with any type of mobility issue. Also, the hair dryer in my room didn’t work – both times that I turned it on it started to crackle loudly and then started emitting tendrils of smoke.

I wonder if the Days Inn management has decided there is enough new business from convention centre visitors that they don’t need to put a lot of effort in repeat business – so they don’t bother investing in infrastructure like a functioning elevator or hairdryers since they don’t really care if visitors ever come back. That kind of impression makes it hard to be totally enthusiastic about staying here.

So, although I enjoyed my stay and as I said the location is great, I’d be a little ambivalent about staying here again. I would definitely look around for other options before making another booking here.

I stayed in this place for 2 nights. And as a tourist new to the town, I received lot of helps from the front desk attendant named Ocean. She told me lots of great tips in terms of how to get the best food in town, how to get to Granville Island in the most economic way, and lots of travelling tips.

I was amazed by her willingness to go extra mile, and definitely make my stay at Days Inn a remarkable one.

This is a budget hotel in a fab location. Of course the decor needs updating, but if that was to happen, prices would rise accordingly. I loved the clean rooms and the comfortable bed. Everything worked in the room, even the hairdryer, which is a bonus in my experience. The wifi was fine. Occasionally I would have to restart it, but that is common with shared wifi. The hotel is close to everything.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I sat in the lobby one day for some time waiting to be picked up for a tour. During that time I witnessed probably the most patient and polite hotel staff member I have ever seen.

I would highly recommend this hotel. My home away from home if I ever visit Vancouver again.

We stayed here with another couple in two rooms prior to our Alaskan Cruise. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our rooms were very nice. I understand that our rooms have been updated and others have not, so until they are completed it might be a bit hit and miss.
I would definitely stay here again.

On a different note, the other couple we were traveling with noticed that they were missing a wallet. It was not noticed until we were on the cruise so could not make contact with the Hotel until our return a week later. Once back in port, we went to the Hotel and made inquiries if the wallet had been found and handed in. Fortunately it had been handed in by the housekeeping staff and held by reception. The couple that miss placed the wallet were very happy as it had approx $AU400 in it, and all the money was present. Thank you very much and please pass on to the staff for a job well done.

This hotel has a great location: close to everything. The room looks much better than what we thought before check-in. Definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, well located, reasonably priced for Vancouver. Unfortunately, the hotel is next to a bar. Even very late in the night, the bass coming from the bar is a real nuisance for the traveler in need of a good night of sleep or seeking some rest before an early flight. Unfortunately, not a repeat for us.

Location-wise, friendliness of staff-wise and comfort-wise, I’m sure this is the best buy in Vancouver. I did tip them off on a leaky sink and a drape that can’t be entirely closed.

I booked the Days Inn for my family (of four) for one night, prior to a cruise. For this purpose, it was perfect. The price was less than half of the “cruise” hotel or most if not all of the other hotels in the immediate area. It was .2 of a mile to the cruise port. The room was clean, if a little rough around the edges and pretty dated. We booked the queen suite, which gave us one queen bed in a separate room and a pull out couch that slept two. I will say that the pictures on their website and what we actually found was pretty far apart. The bathroom especially seemed rather old and outdated, though very clean, which accounts for a lot. And one thing that I really appreciated? Our room came with not only drinking glasses, but a water pitcher, which, after a day of flying then walking around town in warm-ish weather was very welcome. The desk clerks were very friendly (and we were able to check in an hour before the posted check in time) and accommodating. Lots of people seemed to be able to leave luggage in a secure location either before or after check out. As stated previously, the location is great for pre- or post-cruise. The hotel has two dining areas – one I think for break fast only and is very close to lots of other dining opportunities. It’s also close to Canada Place, which was fun to explore. I don’t know if I’d want to stay there with my family for more than a few days, but for our purposes, we were very pleased.

The room was nice, hotel staff were helpful and kind. The hotel was close to transportation and restaurants. And close to the harbor. We were treated well.

The room was over priced for what it was the view was a block wall. The bathroom had mold on the baseboard behind the toilet and the shower fixtures were coming off the wall. The A/C was very loud.

I booked here because of its location. Staff were nice and very helpful. We arrived around 1 pm and able to check in early. We booked 1 queen size suite. It was clean, but smell like damped carpet or something. The housekeeping was very nice assists us with our concern.
