We stayed in June 2014 for 16 nights to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and my husbands 50th Birthday. We stayed in a Premium floor 1 bed apartment. We requested a room with a view of ocean and we got it!
We never tired of that wonderful view and sat out on the teeny tiny balcony ( tiny table and 2 chairs) watching the sunset, it was magical. Though a bit scary 30 floors up!
The apartment was spacious the bed comfortable and the bedding spotless.
The kitchen had good sized fridge freezer and full oven and microwave. Also a pod style coffee maker with a selection of coffee provided.
The apartment was spacious, we even had a tiny “room” ( aircon/heating- system, pipes in ceiling) that we used for luggage and purchases ( had to buy 2 new suitcases!!) Having this space meant we could keep the apartment tidy.
The bathroom had a tub with shower over which was powerful enough. The toiletries were generous (though after the first few days we never saw anymore conditioner, maybe they had run out?) They are replaced everyday.
I read reports of the towels being “thin” and tired etc. in other peoples reports and I have to agree that, whilst not at thin as I was expecting, they are small ( to us) as we use bath sheets at home, they are very clean, but I do think that its time they were replaced.
That said it wasn’t something that would put me off staying again.
There was a dining table and 4 chairs and a desk which was useful for our laptop computer and maps etc. The sofa was an L shape and cream(?!!) which was comfortable enough ( for the style), it did however have a large circular stain on it, the origin of which was ( obviously) unknown, so I put the bed coverlet (brown, more practical!) over that side of the sofa, so that hubby and I could sit down, in relative security.
There was a large flat screen TV which got lots of channels but we only ever watched the news and the weather channel!!
A lot of people seem to just “pass through” Vancouver or run around ticking off the main tourist sites, this is such a shame, they are missing so much.
We never ran out of things to do in 17 days, we felt we got to know the city and we fell in love with it and its people.
