Being renovated even though the rooms are still in very good shape. Shows their commitment to their guests. Love the fact breakfast is served until 10:30, allows us to sleep in. The staff is always so friendly. The location can’t be beat.
We stayed here (with a reservation) the night of December 22, 2016 because it was close to the hospital complex for an early doctor’s appointment. We had just had a week of COLD (minus 10 or so) weather and it was still chilly out. The room was freezing and we discovered that not only was the heat turned off, but the vent in the heater was open to allow the sub freezing air in from outside. My husband went down to ask if we could have another room and was told it would not matter as all the rooms had the heat turned off! They gave us a little portable heater but it did not make much difference. We turned on the wall heater unit as well but the bed felt like a block of ice. All I wanted to do was take a shower and go to bed, but you could not stand to touch the granite counter in the bathroom or stand on the tile floor without shoes – it was like being outside! My husband finally decided to try ironing the bed, and after about an hour he had it warm enough to consider climbing in. After three hours of working at it, we had the room tolerably warm. If we had known it would take so long, we would have gone somewhere else!
They are in the middle of redecorating and it LOOKS pretty enough, but what is the point of that if the comfort level is almost zero – along with the temperature!
We have always enjoyed staying with Best Western in the past, but this place is not worthy of the franchise. Disgusted!
