St Regis Hotel Vancouver

St. Regis is a very good, efficiently managed business suite-style property, but it is not, as the pictures and sometimes the pricing would suggest, a luxury retreat in the city. The hotel offer reasonably sized suites with living and bed room, two TV’s and spacious bathrooms. The decor is neutral, the rooms clean and well maintained, but mine smelled funny of antiseptic agents. Room on the second floor had only limited natural light, and due to the busy intersection, some exposure to street noise.

The restaurant/bar is more like a pub and not particulary inviting, but continental breakfast is decent.but the

Hotel staff was super-friendly and helpful. In an expensive city like Vancouver it still offers quite decent value for your money.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at St Regis. You made us feel very welcomed and looked after. We loved our stay in this fabulous hotel. Our room was spacious, spotless, quiet and comfortable. Our only criticism is the lack of choice for breakfast.
We loved the Saint Regis in Vancouver. We just came from an Alaska cruise and found the bed to be the most comfortable in two weeks. The room was a little small however the bathroom was very large and accommodating. The king size bed was comfortable the pillows were fantastic and the room was very very clean. The bar attached to the hotel was great with good food. You can walk to the Pacific Mall and the very trendy Water Street area. There you will find plenty of small cafes,
restaurant ‘s and bars. There’s a Starbucks and Gotham steakhouse attached to the hotel. You won’t be disappointed if you have to spend a night or more at the St. Regis.

Boutique hotel is Vancouver’s own city centre, New York-style, heritage hotel that offers classic, yet contemporary accommodations. The hotel is within walking distance of Rogers Arena, fine shopping, numerous restaurants including it’s own and the convention centre.

We had a suite which was beautiful, loads of room and wardrobe space with a well equipped bathroom. The entrance and bar area were lovely, very impressive decor that was luxurious.

I was unwell when we arrived and it was a lovely touch that receptionist sent up tea and honey for my sore throat.

Very nice area close to the designer shops and walking distance for most places.
Would definitely stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel. Beautiful lobby. Excellent service. Room was great, very comfortable bed. Great location for walking to nearby attractions. Upscale shopping in every direction. But really, charging for internet is so olde school!

We had a problem with the size of the wardrobe in the King Size room we booked so for a small upgrade charge we were moved to a suite/studio. This room was huge and had plenty of wardrobe space. We had a lounge/dining area, kitchenette which was fully equipped, separate bathroom and separate bedroom. It was all very nicely decorated and modern, extremely comfortable bed – very important. Staff all very friendly and helpful, the position is extremely central and you can walk everywhere from here. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend

Our suite was great, spacious, clean, well organised. Great variety of restaurants close by and pharmacy. Located in a neighbourhood (oh my gosh with real trees) off the main grid, $7 cab ride to Rogers arena

Excellent location with many good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for one night in an Executive Suite with two beds for a family of four. My teens enjoyed the space and the balcony. We have view of the mountain and the city. I will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We stayed for 4 nights Saturday to Wednesday.

The area is fairly quiet but is very close to Davie Street for restaurants and bars.

If you prefer others, it’s a 10 minute walk.

The room was large and spacious with all the kitchenette amenities. It was very clean.

Breakfast is ok, please note that you have to take your crockery to the lobby to collect breakfast and take to your room. This may not suit everyone

We were a family of four that included two kids. We had a very good stay. Clean rooms, friendly and courteous staff. Property is well located. Walking distance to the beach. Restaurants were easily accessible. Parking was crammed though but was manageable.

Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre

Location is pretty good, but not optimal, though this is why I can usually get a room here at a decent price. Rooms are small, and short of storage space. I had a king deluxe room, but there were only 3 small drawers (part of the little bar) besides the night stands. Not even much room on the closet shelf. If I were traveling with my wife, and had changes of clothes for going out at night, I would have to use suitcases for dresser space, and that’s really not acceptable at this price.

Otherwise, room was good. Underground parking is cramped and confusing – it helps to pay attention to which tower you are in. the restaurant and bar are in one tower, while the Starbucks is in the other.

Room service is hit-and-miss. I had a very nice seafood linguine one night, while I had a very disappointing cheeseburger the next (burger was VERY overcooked (dry) when I asked for medium-rare, and I did not get the bacon I requested). Service was fast, and friendly, though.

Cafe has a nice breakfast, though the buffet is overpriced, IMO, unless you are going to eat a great deal. I had eggs Benedict one day and corned beef hash another. Both were prepared well and very filling.

I stayed at the Sheraton Wall Centre for 4 nights and had a great experience. I travel for business almost every week of the year so I generally don’t write reviews but felt that the team at Sheraton, particularly Ozzy and Jerry, deserve a public mention. Although there were a couple of inadvertent issues during my stay, these 2 individuals handled the issues very professionally and more than compensated for the inconveniences caused by the issues. They were honest, upfront, took ownership of the issues, and made sure they were addressed to my satisfaction. I could not have asked for anyone more professional than these 2 individuals. Whenever I travel to Vancouver again, Sheraton Wall Centre will be my place to stay!

Shangri La Hotel Vancouver

Stayed here for one night and already know I am coming back next time I am in Vancouver. Besides being situated in a perfect location close to restaurants and luxurious shops, the staff was beyond friendly and the service was amazing. The room was also beautiful (I mean..it is the Shangri-La after all..) and the whole hotel smelled like Jasmine & Bergamot which I was obsessed with!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was gorgeous and so was the view. When we got to the room there was a bottle of wine and a cup of fresh local strawberries waiting for us! If you’re planning a luxurious trip to Vancouver or even a nice staycation, this is the place to go!

We stayed for several days one week and came back and spent a couple of days the next week.

Beds were comfortable. We were on the 15th floor which didn’t really have a great view if that is what interests you. The suite was large bathroom large and lovely.

Breakfast in market restaurant was excellent. We ate dinner one evening and it was outstanding. The concierges were beyond helpful especially Jeni and Karin. We stay in many hotels every year and this was amongst the best. We will return. Staff was terrific.

Only negative was the scent in the reception area and main lobby. Good clean air is fine with me

Sandman Hotel Downtown Vancouver

A very nice hotel, spacious and comfortable rooms, very comfy bed. The main problem for us was no frig’ in the room. Some rooms did have a frig’ but ours did not. Unfortunate as my wife has medication which needs to be kept cold. Asked at reception they said no available frig so we had to leave the meds in their kitchen frig and go down and up every day to fetch it. Apart from that we had no complaints other than a very long wait to get into our room. We were told it would be available by 2.00pm but we sat in the lobby until well after 4.00pm before we could get into our room. Location is great being just around the corner from Robson Street and it’s many eateries, and only a few minutes walk to Gastown. Would stay there again but would make sure we had a frig’ when booking

The only thing this hotel had going for it was it’s central location. We arrived with a prepaid booking around lunchtime but they could not give us a room yet so we stored our bags and walked the city for several hours, we came back at 3pm, and finally we got a room. The room was basic, but clean enough. We stayed here 3 nights, so it wasn’t just 1 uncomfortable night. The staff couldn’t care less about you, The bed was not very comfortable, the room noisy, the lifts unbelievably slow, the towels scratchy and the cleaning daily of rooms extremely slow.

We only stayed for two nights here and it wasn’t too bad. The room was small but still O.K., wifi worked – and the hotel is well positioned in a busy city centre, yet it is still quite. The large bed was O.K., bathroom clean and the tea/coffe machine worked. The coffee was terrible – but this seems to be typical of North America, no matter where you go.The best thing about this hotel is its location. Plenty of eating places nearby, lots of shops, even an IGA supermarket.

The hotel is just like every high rise hotel on the planet. The best thing about it is the great neighborhood in the heart of the West End. Close to the water, plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby.

We had booked a queen bed apartment which we upgraded to a King bed apartment with a pullout for an extra $30 per night- we were booked in for four nights- . I wasn’t that impressed as I didn’t find it that clean. Dirty marks on the fridge, floor, dirty paintwork and wall paper old and stained. I could actually cope with all that until I spent a night trying to sleep on the pullout. The mattress was so thin I could feel the metal bars through it. I tried everything and ended up trying to sleep on the cushions. Needless to say I had very little sleep. Well, without sleep and very grumpy next day it was unfortunate for the Duty Manager to be in the lift with me. I was very polite but told him how disgusted I was with the whole booking. He asked me to leave it with him and he would see what he could do.
On checking back with him (Roberto) later, found he had upgraded us to a suite on the 23rd floor. What a change! Clean, parquetry flooring and a decent mattress on the couch. He also advised me that they would not charge me the upgrade fee for the first night of the stay.
I was so impressed with this level of service and I highly commend Roberto for his handling of the issue.
It made our stay so much more pleasant and certainly put a more positive slant on our stay at The Sandman suites. It is situated in Davie Street, surrounded by lots of eating places and bars. Jodie’s bar next door had fairly good food and apply hour every afternoon between 3-6pm. It was only a $10 taxi ride to Canada place and the Wharves and around $40 to the airport. It was good to have an apartment where we could prepare our own breakfasts and it wasn’t until we were leaving that I discovered a washer/dryer in the cupboard that I could have used.
I hope that the Sandman continues to upgrade its suites- if so I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. And again, I would like to commend the Duty Manager Roberto on his dealing with our issues.

Rosewood Hotel Georgia Vancouver

If you are searching for the best hotel in Vancouver, you can end your search now. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable and service is excellent. It’s located in a central area of Vancouver and you can walk to most places like Yaletown etc. Make sure you visit their basement lounge for live jazz and great people watching. The hotel also has a rooftop bar that is one of the hottest places to hang out. But, try not tell too many people about this hotel, we want it to remain a Vancouver secret.

Stayed at the hotel at either end of our trip to Canada. Firstly, the staff are really great, the waiters and the bar staff were so helpful and full of ideas of where to go and what to do. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

The 2nd stay was so much nicer as we had a corner room and it was just so much nicer and brighter.

The rooftop bar was also lovely and the spa looked amazing but unfortunately we couldn’t get a booking.

We just ended our stay at the Georgia and we’re definatley sad to leave. Everything was lovely from the staff to the rooms to the personal touches. We arrived very early off a cruise so our room was not ready however they stored our luggage and were able to check us in 1 hour earlier. We had a Deluxe room which was stunning; plently of storage space, lounge, large TV, mini bar, nespresso machine, king bed, large marble bathroom, enormous shower, heated floors and more. There was a personalised letter on arrival and a welcome message on the TV. When we came back for the evening our room had been set up for bed with slippers out, bottles of water and even wine and raspberries on the table (which i mentioned were my favourite). The pool was lovely, a great size and perfect temperature. We didn’t utilise the gym however it looked well equipped and the spa had a decent service menu. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return

My suite (202) was not like the modern, well-furnished ones shown on the website. It was more like a student apartment, with dated decor and cheap furniture. The second bedroom was so small that both ends of the bed touched walls. However, it was very clean. Potential guests should be aware that this is an apartment building, not a hotel.

We came to Vancouver with friends a couple days before our cruise and wanted a place that we could share that would be close to it all. We found it!! We have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room – plenty of space for the 4 of us! Actually, we could have fit 2 more people easily on the Murphy bed in the living room. The property is not air conditioned but is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood so having the windows open was perfectly ok. I rated it very good – not excellent because of the size of the shower is small and all the doors are loud and thin but that being said, I would stay here again!

We had such a great week at Vancouver’s Rosellen Suites. We walked everywhere and used the Hop On Hop Off Trolley to see Stanley Park, Granville Island Market, ride False Creek Ferry, and finally to get to The Boathouse Restaurant on English Bay. Perfect!
